This was not their first attempt at selling their services by phone, we've been called several times over the last 3 to 5 years--despite being on the National 'Do Not Call' Registry.  In my experience, any company ignoring the National 'D.N.C.R.' are highly likely to be desperadoes and/or outright con-artists.

After persistently pursuing us by phone solicitation from late fall to early winter last year, being told when to call to speak to the person of household who makes the home improvement decisions and still bafflingly managing to avoid calling at any times they were advised to call, several more times .... we finally persuaded them to not to call back 'til spring.  They didn't call again 'til late spring when an estimate appointment for 4 second floor windows AND siding was finally made:

Estimator arrived about 20 mns. to half-hour late,
-came unprepared to perform siding estimate, stated he was not informed that he was to do anything other than window estimate,
-after having us fill out a customer survey, he then took window measurements (asking that curtains be COMPLETELY removed from windows while that was clearly UNnecessary)
-in order to provide an estimate that turned out to be remarkably high...
-2 of which he'd quoted for 'fixed', 'casement' windows despite the fact that the windows to be replaced DO open,
+without having even ASKED whether we wanted anything OTHER than opening windows!  =)

    - ALSO MISinformed us that his company did not perform old siding removal or disposal required for the siding work which he was otherwise unprepared to estimate as per our appointment scheduling which he was late for, anyway--which turned out to be about as wrong as can be.
+ exhibited no courteous concern for the value of our time after having arrived late from the outset, rather proceeded to repeatedly attempt to turn his professional house-call into a social visit by turns no fewer than four and five times.  Finally I found there was no polite way to motivate him to 'ease on down' his road so we could get on with our previously scheduled lives for the day.  When I last I became tersely indifferent to his furthered attempts at prolonging impertinent conversation ... THAT's when he finally got the message by felling the decided 'chill' in the air and opted to be on his way.... over an hour later--for an improperly conducted, incomplete estimate that shouldn't have taken more than 25 mns.

He did thank us for our time and hospitality, 'nicely' enough--however I made it clear that I didn't appreciate the fact that he hadn't asked for so much of that either rather than so simple-mindedly, presumptuously taking it up regardless--for which he might just as well have thanked himself.

    In short:
Preposterously absent-minded/idiotic or juvenilely inconsiderate by turns and unprofessional, poorly coordinated + even less impressive 'customer service' from start to finish.
This appears to be one of those companies which's gotten too big to be properly manageable whereat one hand seldom knows what the other's doing 'til after the fact if at all, and can't seem to do much of any effectiveness about it anyway either...including properly training their field representatives before putting them out here to 'fend for themselves'.  In other words, typical over-blown corporate falderall.

Their office confirmed that the estimate was improperly performed AND somehow mysteriously over-priced,
offered to provide a PROPER estimate and agreed to call mid-October ...
    ...& guess what? ; ]

This is what we get for responding to phone-solicitations, even by otherwise legitimate companies.
+ fact of the matter is we ARE in the 'Do Not Call' registry which they're clearly ignoring, so what's that say about them?
Good luck with all that then.

I have high expectation for contractors I hire.  Some would call me fussy.  I would prefer to say "I expect value from my money". I DEFINATELY GOT MY MONEY'S WORTH FROM DECORATIVE TOUCH PAINTER'S

First I should say that I have had problems with exterior house painters in the past. Ever time I have employed them over the last twenty years.  They  were Slow, hard to reach, messy, h****** plants, sloppy paint drippings and just shoddy work.

Second, I was skeptical of spray painting.

Decorative Touch painting exceed my expectation in all areas.  There workmanship was EXCELLENT.  Spraying was definitely the way to go.  The foreman was on top of all issues.  Workman were pleasant to have around.   I would happily recommend them to anyone and I certainly will use them in the future.

Went very well. They arrived with a huge crew - maybe as many as 25 workers. They knew exactly what they were doing. They protected the entire house with plywood sheets, protected all the shrubery and walkways with tarps, and within probably 3 hours of their arrival the entire old roof had been removed,  put into a dumpster, and the entire yard all cleaned up.
Wherever the roof met the siding, they removed the siding, removed the old flashing, and installed new flashing.
Replaced the flashing to one chimney,  inspected and then re-pointed the copper flashing on a second chimney.
The entire job took one full day and a few hours on a second day.
    Very impressed by their work

Great to work with!! Phil showed up when he said he would show. Started when he said he would start the job and finished the work when he said he would finish.

Had a hard time getting any one to even give me a estimate. Can not say enough about what a great job CNY did on my chimney.

Going to have him back to make us a pair of front steps and do some foundation work.

They did a careful and great job. They were professional and a pleasure to work with. I agreed to check their work for my neighbor who worked that day and they did a great job on her home as well as mine. They didn't miss a spot, moved something out of the way if forgotten. The gentleman told my neighbor there was an area he didn't think he could get the staining out and she appreciated that he was honest with her. I thought the price was a bit high, because I paid fifty dollars less to a different company before, but that was three years ago so maybe this price wasn't too bad. I am glad we used their service and will use them again.

I had a couple of estimatesf rom several sources and Eddie was on the lower end but I thought all were rather high for the small scope of work. Eddie seemed honest and assured me that he did amazing work and that I would be very satisfied. After negotiations with him he quoted me $2500 for the complete job. We agreed and he sent me an email as a contract. Anything that he handed to me was hand written.  I am fine with this as i'd rather have him working than in the office doing paperwork.
Eddie started with the retaining wall, which was originally constructed with decorative block. Eddie asked if he could use regular cinder blocks as the decorative ones were more expensive. I told him I wanted the decorative as it is seen on a regular basis. He requested to use some of the old blocks where is was below grade and I agreed. I was also having him pour a cement pad outside a back door.  He orginally staked it out differently than we discussed. It was corrected and it came out fine. WHen he was done there he was going to leave it to me to back fill the required dirt but did it with no problem when I asked him to.
Move on to the pillars... We agreed to have 22" block and the cultured stone added to that. Also since the lighting needed to be installed I purchased the needed conduit for the cement to be poured around.  Something happened during the pour and the conduit got filled with cement. He did redo it and I think it will be OK.  Eddie then decided to use 20" chimney block as he thought it would be sturdier. I was out of town when it went up and the block was thinner than we agreed.  Eddie also found out at this point that the cultured stone we agreed to is pretty expensive and he needed another $500.  I knew the price of this and was expecting this as his price was way too low for the job.  It was still a good deal with the extra $500 so I agreed.   The stone is the same that is on my house but was ot installed as nicely but still looks good.  Overall a decent job for a fair price.  I got exactly what I paid for. I would hire Eddie again for Block work or a patio but not the creative piece.

They did a phenomenal job. He has a very unique way of doing it that a lot of people around here or other paint services don’t do. A lot of services come by and they pressure wash the house and paint. He actually sanded and roughed up pretty much every inch of my house. The house no longer looks like wood; it looks like vinyl siding, which is kind of weird. I thought the price was low so it was a good price. I'm absolutely going to use them again.

My overall experience was very good.  But timeliness wasn’t there, maybe because it was a friend.  We are going to use them again.  He did an amazing and the price was very good.

Very good! We were impressed that there was no mark-up on materials. In many cases we pay for the materials ourselves. Several times there was additional work to be done and they just did it. One day I was spray painting the base of a lighting fixture to go on the porch, and one of the workers took over and painted it for me. I was amazed how helpful they were on some of the tasks I was doing.
