    Ed Tschetter's Heating & Cooling
We replaced Amana equipment with another Amana. Ed Tschetter's Heating & Cooling handled the prior installation 30 years ago, showing that the company has staying power. My knowledgeable brother was extremely pleased with the vendor's expertise and professionalism. All the work was done in a day on the schedule we designated. Great job!

First I call for estimate and he gives it to me over phone have to ask him to come over. Then I have to call him because I know he forgot tells me someone will be there in 20 min, 20 min later some calls and says they will be there in 10 min. This guy gives me a estimate for a steam humidifier because of the size of home only to find out by other hvac people (2 others) that is not true. And to top it all off he charge sales tax and others say its a home improvement there is no sales tax. Went with a another company 50% yes 50% lower. And with a furnace cleaning.

The part was received by the service department and a call was made to set up an appointment to install it. Two technicians came today to replace the part. They worked both on the inside air conditioning unit and the outside unit. They were very efficient and considerate of us as the work was done. This took quite awhile since they had to remove the part, install the new part and then refill the unit with coolant. After this was done, they had to test both units to be sure everything was working as expected. They took time to explain what was being done when asked. They made sure we were satisfied with everything before they cleaned up the areas where they were working. We are very satisfied and let them know how much we appreciated their work.

I have been very pleased with them. I had an fan in an unit go bad, and they came out and replaced it. Since I was an contract person, they came out quicker, as if I hadn't been. The cost, you have no way to know the cost with three suppliers, so I just pay whatever it cost. It was over $510. It seems high to me, but I am not in this business, so I have no idea of the bids. There was one worker. It took the worker an hour, to an hour and an half to complete. Nice guy, very capable. This fan takes the exhaust out of the house, we don't have the chimney one, you have to blow the exhaust out, so I don't know what kind of tips he could of given me to prolong the fan. They left the are very clean.

On a Friday morning we woke up with the house temperature at around 48 degrees. The outside temperature was about 25 degrees. I found that the furnace would not turn on. I called Issac Heating and Air Conditioning. Their service technician arrived about an hour and fifteen minutes later with two electric space heaters. He trouble shoot the mechanical, gas and electrical systems of the furnace. He determined that the electronic control module had failed. It was determined that the replacement cost would be about 15 to18 percent of the cost of a new furnace. This furnace was over 25 years old and did not have the high efficiency rating. We decided to talk to their sale representative about replacement cost. The sales rep arrived about an hour later with two more space heaters. He gave us what I thought was a reasonable replacement cost. During the discussion he asked about out air conditioning system. I had to laugh. I told him that the air conditioning unit was 45 years old and that we would say a prayer that it would run each spring when we turned the circuit breaker on. He said they had a promotion that if both the furnace and air conditioning were replaced together they would deduce $1,000 from the combined cost. They said that they didn't have the air conditioning system in stock (because it was winter) but they would have it the following Monday (2 day away). That would also allow the furnace and air conditioning technicians to work together on the installation. Could we tolerate the four space heaters for two days. The house temperature was now up to 70 degrees so we agreed. That Monday morning two Issac trucks arrived at 8:30 with all of the units. The air conditioning part of the installation was done complete by about 4:30. The furnace technician stayed until about 10:30 that evening and the furnace was running. The next morning an Iassc quality control technician spent an hour inspecting the installation and taking various measurements on the systems.

The systems we purchased are and American Standard two speed gas forced air furnace and air conditioning system. A Honeywell set back thermostat was also installed. A small pump that collects and removes  humidifier overflow, air conditioner and furnace condensation was also installed. The system has run perfectly for 2 years.

I would highly recommend Issac Heating and Air Conditioning. Great company, great people, great products and great installation.

A couple of years ago I had a problem that turned out to be a design flaw in the furnace that I had and it took them probably half a dozen visits here to figure out what was wrong with the equipment and by working with the manufacturer, they finally came up with a solution and fixed the furnace. They did not charge me anything for all the visits they made out here to solve the problem.

The cost was part of a maintenance plan we have with them. I thought the price was reasonable. I would recommend them. I found them on Angie's List originally. Todd thoroughly checked the operation of the furnace.  He vacuumed out the unit and cleaned the flame sensor because it was corroded. He advised having the ducts cleaned to help eliminate dust and odors.  I asked about replacing my broken A/C unit and he said that he would send me a quote to do so.

Yuri was professional and knowledgable. He was able to install the furnace within a week of us calling him (our furnace didn't die, it was on its last leg). His quote was the most reasonable of the 4 or 5 quotes that I received. He was also able to fix some of the duct work which was preventing hot air from flowing into our son's room. Yuri cleaned up after himself so there was no mess to deal with after he left. He also offered to fill out the paperwork for the RG&E rebate. We will definitely be using him again!
