    The washer was never leveled. I don't think it was even attempted. The first load of laundry after the work was supposedly completed was out of balance. I got out the owner's manual and figured out how to do it myself. The lock nuts were never tightened. There were no problems with replacement of the dryer vent.

    My refrigerator stopped cooling a week before Christmas. Called on Saturday and they came first thing Monday morning. It went excellent. Mike was prompt and professional. He tracked down a part that normally has to be ordered. He went over on the other side of the city to pick it up. Came back later that day in between other jobs to complete the repair. Timely, professional, knowledgeable and reasonable cannot ask for more than that!

    He came to give us an estimate on Saturday afternoon. Lisa, his secretary, called Monday and let us know he could install later today after hours. Gas line was installed at 5 pm Monday. Very prompt! Cost was exactly as estimated. Clean, professional installation. Even took the time to research where the most common placement was for the lines on gas stoves since we hadn't had time to purchase a new stove yet. Also said he'd come back and move it if for some reason it didn't work. I highly recommend!!!

    The sales process with Rochester Appliance  was unforced but helpful and economical.  The weather here has been terrible.  We had purchased a new drier from Home Depot.  However, come the date of delivery there was a snowstorm so the contractor that they used canceled.  Rather than schedule for Tuesday, which would have worked for us they wanted to schedule delivery for a day and time which would not work.  They  were rude and unhelpful saying that we would have to wait a week for delivery.  We canceled the order with Home Depot.
      Delivery day came and the weather was bad, however the Rochester Appliance people cheerfully made the delivery as scheduled.  When they left we put  the drier to use.  It did not work.  We called and complained.  Within 10 minutes the owner of Rochester Appliance called and assured me that we would have a repairman there within an hour and that one way or another he would make it right.  45 minutes later the repairman arrived and within 15 minutes the drier was fixed.  Three weeks later the drier is working great and is the best drier that I have ever owned.

    They were able to fit me in the same day and had the part to fix the dryer on the truck. The repairman was very professional. This is the first time I used this company's services and I would not hesitate again. Oh yeah, the dryer has been working great since the fix.

    We called this appliance service as we felt that the leak that we were getting in our cellar was coming from the dishwasher especially after AP Plumbing had been to the house and fixed a pipe that didn't address the leak. Mike came out and analysed the situation, ran the dishwasher and told us exactly what was broke.  He looked up the price of the parts to see if it was worth our money to fix it but he ended up telling us to purchase a new one and gave us ideas on the best type for the money.

    It was fine. They came out a couple of weeks after I purchased the big deal. I didn't spend more than the big deal purchase. They were pretty prompt and they were on top of things. I would use this provider again.

    What a great repair. Late Saturday night we discovered that our washing machine had stopped pumping water out of the basin. On Monday we came to Angie's List to get a recommendation. We were pleased to discover that Protech Appliance was offering a special promotion to AL members: 1/2 off a service and cleaning.
    Protech was prompt an got right to work. Not only did he fix our pump, but he also tuned up the dryer! We only had to pay about $5 extra for a replacement dryer catch. Both machines are running better than ever!
    We would highly recommend Protech and plan to use them again should we have problems in the future!

    OUTSTANDING!  I was able to get an appointment quickly (vs. 5 day wait at the other place I had called). 
    The owner of the business does all his own service.  The woman who is his receptionist was SUPER nice AND knowledgeable about potential causes and gave me a good cost estimate. 
    Rod arrived on time.  He was super attentive in diagnosing the problem and figuring out what to do - very efficiently.  When we talked about the age of the dryer and what might go next (that I had learned on the internet), we agreed I could probably avoid another service call in the future by replacing a different $15 part that is a common failure...DONE!  (cheap insurance!). 
    It was just a great experience and so much less expensive than the other two places I had called.  The other places also diagnosed the problem (correctly) over the phone, but their estimates were $75-$90 more than I paid at Pro-Tech.
    I will certainly keep his card for any other appliance repairs I ever need!
