    This review was a long time in coming. I have done a lot of work to my house, both interior and exterior, and I have never come across a contractor quite like Anthony (Tony) Vincente from RAV Home Improvements. He was the most upfront, honest, reliable, thorough and trustworthy contractor I have ever used. The work to my house was pretty extensive, including exterior masonry, and we changed  plans on him midstream, but he took everything in stride. Nothing was ever an issue for him, he took tremendous pride in his work and always wanted to make sure we were satisfied. At one point, when we wanted to change some windows, which required some reframing, I thought it was going to be an issue, but not for Tony. It was just done without a problem. He removed an old propane heater from the garage. also a last minute decision on our part, even using his own plumber. He recommended a mason for the front masonry work, and coordinated with him very well. The bottom line is that the house looks utterly fantastic, like a new house, and we have received so many compliments. Again, Tony is very honest, takes tremendous pride in his work, is always very reachable and overall made a very large exterior project smooth and easy. I would absolutely use him again for any additional work and I would have no hesitation recommending him to family or friends. Customer satisfaction and getting the job done right are his primary goals and it show in his attitude and his work. I cannot say enough positive things about the experience. Thank you Tony!

    Greenpro Cleaning & Restoration
    Here is another scam of being pressured into putting down $1000 deposit so I can "get on the calendar".  Since Green Pro was the first merchant I spoke with I didn't realize their estimate was at least two (2) times more expensive than any other contractor.  They presented themselves as reputable and told me how they had done so much work with Sandy victims but now I realize that his customers are the real victims of Green Pro.
    It started on Saturday, March 1st, 2014.  A representative by the name of Andreas came to inspect my attic in order to provide an estimate for insulation.  They quoted the work to require removal of old insulation ($1200), spraying anti-microbial treatment ($950) and installation of 1160 square feet R-19 batted insulation ($3200) for a total of $5,350.  After negotiating the price by removing spray treatment I was able to get their price down to $4200 or pay $3700 cash as part of a manager's special.  Andreas also said that I am eligible for 3-day corporate return policy on my deposit with no questions asked.
    On Sunday I spoke to a friend who works in construction that informed me the price was simply too high.  Come Monday I obtained additional estimates for the same work but that included R-30 batted insulation by two (2) other companies who both quoted the job at $1400.  I then called and left a message with Green Pro stating I wanted a refund.  I never received a call back and tried again on Tuesday where I spoke to Mike the owner.  He turned out to be a snake with a forked tongue telling me that I would always be eligible to get my money back even after the 3 days.  He continued to insist that I should shop around and that he would match any competitor's price.  Mike told me that he wanted Andreas to come back out to the house so he could negotiate a better price in person which I was willing to entertain.  They re-quoted the job to include R-30 this time for $4000 without spray and $4800 with spray.  I said at that time that I wanted my money back.
    It was a week later that I spoke with Mike and informed him that my deposit was still not returned back to my credit card.  He continued to argue how he was providing the best price for the job and that other vendors were not offering the same level of quality he was offering.  I told Mike I was going with spray insulation in my attic and I just wanted my money back.  Another week goes by and again I spoke to Mike who told me that he only does refunds on Friday and that in order for him to return my money I had to provide estimates from other competitors.  It was at that time I knew he was never going to return my money.  I filed a claim with my credit card company.  My credit card company found their decision in my favor but after Mike rebutted the decision I'm back to litigating this probably all the way to small claims court.
    In sum, Mike was just telling me what I wanted to hear so that he could buy some time.  I've recently contacted Mike again and he now says that my request for refund was not timely and he never stated he would return my deposit.  He plays all the psychological games that would trick you into believing how he wants to work with you but in reality he is just a scam artist.

    Wagner outdid themselves, providing excellent on time work while coping with our erratic schedule for them to do their work.
    Wagner accepted MasterCard for payment, in 3 installments, with final payment after work inspection, in keeping with our schedule.
    We have never worked with a contractor as good and as flexible as Wagner.
    We recommend Wagner without hesitation.

    Egg Energy Systems, Inc
    Egg Energy arrived for the initial inspection on time.  The initial inspection took over an hour and a written estimate was provided outlining our options.  There was NO pressure at all.  We then made our selection as to what work we wanted completed.  Again, the Egg Energy team arrived on schedule and started insulating and barrier sealing some of our walls and floors.  The work took one complete day.  The team cleaned up after themselves and left us with a better sealed and insulated home.
    Egg also installed 19 energy efficient ceiling light through out the upper floors.  We found Egg Energy very professional and caring about our needs and our satisfaction.

    FINAL TOUCH RESTORATION
    We live on the Great South Bay on Long Island. During Hurricane Sandy, our crawl space completely filled with water due to the storm surge. We lost our furnace, all duct work and electricity in half of our house because of damaged electrical wires due to flood waters. Several different contractors left us hanging after the storm. They came to look at the damage, gave us a quote and told us they'd be back in a day or two never to show up again. We reached out to George at Final Touch Restoration on Saturday and he had his crew promptly on site Sunday morning. They removed our ductwork and watered down insulation, cleaned out the crawlspace and sprayed it down with anti mold solvent. They installed dehumidifiers which are working now to dry out our crawlspace and his Electrician was on site the next day. His team was so wonderful and professional. I HIGHLY recommend his services to anyone and will definitely use him again.

    Unified Window Systems Inc
    I had previously used Unified to reshingle my roof and I was happy with their price and since that work was done about a half year or so ago the work has held up. Recent Hurricane Sandy left the roof with no loss of shingles or any other issue either.
    I decided to get my house resided. As usual when a project begins other issues and costs can arise and it turned out that the gutters, fascia and related hardware all had to go too.
    I wanted to reside my house to increase insulation and also to dampen outside noise so the residing including the installation of a half inch of sound board to cut down on outside noise.
    I took advantage of a sale price and afterwards additions like the sound boarding that I had to pay for I thought was priced reasonably.
    I did have issues. I got the same salesperson that I had gotten for my roof and not at my request. The same issue later arose with him: lack of post contract responsiveness. And as before what I have discovered in dealing with Unified is that there is a saving grace: their supervision and owners are far more responsive that the sales staff that I have had to deal with.
    The owner solved an issue relating to the need to cut down noise by recommending the sound board which the salesman never suggested. Issues relating to the depth of the insulation (I had initially wanted two inches) were resolved by the owner and later by the crew manager when the sales person had initially told me that they were be issues. So I would definitely recommend that if you have an issue with the sales person post contract that you go right to the top where competence and responsiveness is more to be found.
    I was surprised by the arrival of several thousand dollars worth of insulation and related materials several days prior to the work being done. No one had called me to expect the delivery. Fortunately I was home but once all that expensive material was on my property I found myself restricted to home to make sure no one walked off with it which in the end no one did.
    The crew manager was able to save my old insulation so in the end I got my old insulation, new insulation and the sound
     board and pretty much what I had wanted in terms of depth of insulation: one and three quarters inches. He also dealt with some other unexpected issues: an outside front light had to be removed and a new one installed which he did willingly.
    I own a small house, the work was completed in one day.
    I immediately noticed that the house was warmer and there has been some reduction in outside sound but the jury is still out on whether I will get the bang for the bucks I spent on the sound boarding.
    Hurricane Sandy just came and went. Everything held up fine.
    In the end I felt the price was reasonable, the work well done and what problems that did exist were worked out by the company that in the end did want to find solutions to issues which of course makes sense: after all I was willing to spend money if I could get the solutions I really wanted.
    I would recommend this company to others.

    No Service, No email, No Call back.

    Why continue to advertise if you're not interested in business??

    Provider states the following. "I left NUMEROUS messages on the voicemail of the customer and will continue to attempt to reach them."

    This is a blatant lie  - no voice mail was ever left and no email was ever sent. Do companies think consumers want to write bad reviews for the heck of it? No, i respect business and when one preforms or acts badly, we all have a duty to remind them that the customer is always the first priority. Their voice mail system did not state they were on vacation as i was told. Why would i take the time to write a bad review if the message from the company was clearly articulated in a voice mail.

    The truth. Once i finally spoke with the company representitive, they were not even sure how they got the lead, continually refering to me as a "Service Magic" customer. I guess they run ad's on that service system too. Get your leads straight i should have said.

    Then, on top of this, she told me that the "visual" inspection would be done next week. I said, "I paid for a Thermal Scan, not a visual inspection and i had to insist on this or i feel i would have been slighted by their  advertising. How many other customers simply got a "visual" inspection and not what was advertised.

    I finally received an appointment for Saturday 1/14/12 and make arraignments to stay home rather than visit my family in NYC.

    The day before my appointment, Friday, i get a phone call from the rep and she tells me to remove this review or they are not coming to my house. Are you kidding? Telling me they called, emailed, and were simply on vacation from the 29th to the 5th and that i had 6 months to use my service coupon. If i did not remove this negative (Truthful) review re: customer service then i would have to find another insulation service company. SHAME ON YOU.

    Not only have you lost a customer, you gained a member of you community that can re-tell this story so often that it might "might" actually effect your business.

    I was a ready, willing and financially able consumer interested in spending $4-6,000 for insulation and to begin this process i simply wanted a thermal scan to determine the corrective action needed and location of said insulation.

    I have taken time from my very busy day to write this review, (A first for me) in the hopes that the company more than any reader understand that service, system (email auto responders) and truth in advertising is all that is needed to separate yourself from the pack of untrustworthy companies we (the public) fear.

    What a joke - You lied, got caught and lied again. Then you threatened me and lie AGAIN. YOU DID NOT REFUND ME, ANGIES LIST DID AND I AM SURPRISED YOU STILL HAVE AN ACCOUNT HERE>

    you never left a message, not one. Saying i am beyond unreasonable???? You told me to take down this report or you were canceling the appointment. Who would make up such a story?

    What a joke. You simply wanted to get in and sell me installation, (I WANTED TO BUY INSULATION AND YOU MESSED UP)  then got caught in a lie and then threatened me. I tell this story daily. This little story will now live on the internet forever and i might even blog about you and your unprofessional ways.

    A simple apology or phone call from the owner would have been better than lying in public, but you know nothing about customer service. SHAME ON YOU..

    The salesman spent a few hours in my home going over what I need and didn't need. He also worked with us on the overall price. The one thing I didn't like was that there was no follow through from the salesman after the sale. We had some issues were the insulation was blown into another location then what was agreed upon. We contacted Hank at their office who rectified the situation and was a wonderful person to deal with. This company stood behind their warranty and resolved any issues we had with the insulation. For this reason we recommended them to friends who are also going to use them for a larger project of insulating their entire attic to enclose it for additional space.
