    Mack Of All Trades
Weve hired Macks on multiple projects and we highly recommend them. They trustworthy, reliable, and professional. They do high quality work and always have high standards. Weve hired them for multiple projects, small and large. They have even remodeled our kitchen (cabinet removal, installing a new farmhouse sink, remodeled pantry header, and added new pantry doors with antique glass doorknobs) and we are looking forward to working with them again on building a wood shop space in our yard with farmhouse fencing for our dog. Macks can be trusted with any project, big or small, and is worth every penny!

    Hellenic Home Improvements
I had hired  Hellenic Homes install mys vinyl siding, rim joist, two entry doors/screen doors and partial bath remodel.  Several issues about poor quality of work was brought up during install and received an email stating they do not do shoddy work or cut corners. However, not one issues been properly addressed or corrected since install of August 2014.  Dates were set by them via email to correct and they never have shown up.
On the entry doors- they were installed on the face frame only.  No screws were used on the actual door jambs or shims- due to no solid support or proper installation they have since become difficult to open and close.  One screen door will not close with out force, and both doors do not close properly creating a seal or sit square and level.
On the rim joist- it is not high enough and has a gap. this also creates a gap under one of the new doors where one can see day      light from inside. Upon taking it upon my self to get a permit for several items this being one of them- it did not pass I was told by Hellenic Homes it did not need a permit to be fixed. It however is required in my county and needs to be corrected.in

Vinyl siding- this installation has many issues.  The the dryer vent is 2 inches over from the actual vent hole for the dryer. No re-cutting and proper installation -it was simply covered by the vent  hood and trim . Hiding the misaligned hole  and missing duct work. It does not allow duct work fully  thought wall to connect my dryer vent hose. It now  partially vents behind the foam board and siding creating a major fire risk and moisture damage risk.  Starters strips being installed crooked or too high on multiple spots so that the siding does not clip in on bottom.  Several areas of siding have come off the house. Under sill trims not nailed in place and siding not notched causing noise  along with un-supported siding under windows.  Crooked j channels showing foam insulation board under neath.   J-Channels crooked on faux stonework creating gaps. Utility trims missing in spots. Foam insulation has chunks missing under siding exposing chipboard which can be seen on photos during install.    Visible  pencil(not easily removed) and saw marks on several pieces of siding.  The metal corner wraps on my garage are not cleanly bent and one corner it  was not wrapped at all exposing my wood frame to the elements. My attic vents stick out- not per manufacture specs.  Gaps in vinyl stone work and not attached under window sills pulling away from house. Large gaps in siding on utility line supports. Gap above electrical box showing blue siding  strip allowing moisture to penetrate.  I have a small area of wood exposed above above a gutter in a corner where water has entered the home and damaged drywall as well as the plywood board under he new siding and foam board. Several windows were caulked around j-channel only halfway up from what could be reached from ground level. Several windows were not caulked at all even though I was stated by email they would be done.  I have my front light  on a way too small vinyl light bracket Hellenic Installed and can touch wiring from underneath wear the light fixture overhangs the vinyl piece they put in.

Hellenic moved a toilet and light fixtures inside my home.  I asked about permits via email and told by Hellenic Homes this did not require a permit. Being concerned I contacted the town directly and was told it did. Upon being notified of this the town inspected their work.  The town  found a hidden electrical box hidden by Hellenic in the wall and quickly not passed  all the electrical and plumbing work as well.  Hellenic Homes also cut joists improperly for the toilet move and those now need repair. I have sent Hellenic a copy of this inspection report via email  and received a reply stating they would correct. No action has been taken by them and  I had to hire plumbers and electricians to correct issues.

The owner of Hellenic Homes also told me that they were fully insured - I was told multiple times I would receive insurance paperwork. I was concerned with his workers getting hurt on my property. I never received any for his company. I did later receive paperwork after the job was finished but it was for only him.

Very unhappy with Hellenic Homes. Have been given dates for corrections by Hellenic Homes and they have yet to show up since August 2014. I have always dealt with the owner of the company.
