Door Installation reviews in Palmyra

Leading up to the installation of the door, Dave keep in contact with me about his arrival time. He arrived at exactly the time he said he would. He began removing the old door right away. Then came installing the new one. They worked right along and before I knew it, they were done. They picked up everything leaving no mess and even took the old door away. We were very pleased with Dave. We would definitely have him back again!!

We are very happy with Joe and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He has done drywall for us (whole interior of our house including the ceilings), installed replacement windows, modified a wall (including electric and TV cable) to mount our flat panel television and hide all the wires, and installed a folding attic stairway.

    Crane Painting & Remodeling
we hired this company because the they seemed quite knowledgeable; gave an excellent price with a great written contract; and Tammy Crane specifically told me that she was a perfectionist, that she charged by the job instead of the hour because she did not feel right about charging a customer extra time to complete the job to her standards.  the contract initially was to remove and replace our rear entry door which was old and leaked a lot of cold air in the winter with an insulated steel door; remove and replace the front porch lights with ones that we purchased; and to remove the existing carpet in our small second floor bathroom, secure any loose subfloor boards, and install about 42 sq. ft. of tile (involved lifting toilet and sink vanity).  the total cost was to be $1005.00, which did not include the cost of the lights or the lockset for the door.  She arrived on the scheduled day and installed the lights and the door while i was at work.  We had to reschedule the tile job because the tile we chose was special order unbeknownst to us or Tammy Crane.  When i got home from work, my wife brought to my attention that there were small dents and scratches on the interior of the steel door.  when i looked i indeed observed the same (i have pictures).  the door was obviously damaged as if it had been banged up at the store or during delivery.  these were not just a couple minor cosmetic dings that one could overlook.  these were dents up and down the right side of the interior side of the door.  additionally, the door did not seal correctly on the doorknob side, as i could see light coming through from the lock all the way down to the floor.  I called Tammy and she was very apologetic and offered to come back and replace the slab.  She indicated to me that she would be able to return it to the store for refund without too much issue as it was very likely damaged when she bought it, but just did not notice the damage when she purchased it.  however, she told my wife that she would have to eat the cost.  when i got home the next day the door was newly replaced without damage and did seal better.  however, the lock was offset just a little, making it hard to turn the deadbolt and the floor was covered in sawdust and debris.  i then inspected the lights that she installed, which i was not able to the previous day because i got home after dark.  I was appalled.  the old lights were round and the new ones were more rectangular.  she had simply placed the new ones where the old ones were leaving large gaps where the holes had been cut in the siding to accommodate the old ones (i have pictures).  it was such an amateurish job.  no care was taken to look at it to see that maybe the new ones needed some trim.  with her experience, i would have expected that she could have foreseen this and offered the suggestion that if we were going to buy a different shaped light, that additional work may need to be done, like trimming, to make it look nice.  or even if she couldn't foresee this, at least after she installed the lights i would have expected her to say, "hmm, this doesn't look nice....let me talk to the owner to see if they want something done about it."  But, she didn't.  so i called her again.  she was defensive and quick to explain that she did not want to cut into my siding.  i asked if there was possibly trim that could be installed to cover the large gaps.  she quickly agreed that there was trim specifically made for such an issue and that she would install it when she returned to complete the tile job.  about 10 days later, i emailed her to confirm the dates that she was returning to complete the job.  three days later, she responded that she would be canceling the contract, citing a great personal issue and sending a check to refund any over payment for materials, which she did to the penny.

    Marshall Exteriors LLC
I was quoted by several people regarding replacement windows and doors in my small home.  We were on a money crunch and chose someone who claimed they would be $1500 less.  They didn't end up being that way, they took much longer to install than the timeline Marshall gave us, and the quality was lower.  I learned my lesson!!!  Never buy windows and doors that you can't manipulate first!  I really wish I had chosen Marshall!  I will tell all my friends to go with them!  I wish I could turn back time!  Great people to work with, great quality product, and fast installation.
