    Michael Lavyne MD,FACS
I was referred to Dr. Lavyne by a freind who is a dentist and had surgery done at the Hospital for Special Surgery. I felt even more comfortable when I saw that he was listed in the "BEST DOCTORS" report and book. Dr. Lavyne's approach is patient and relaxed. He takes time to listen and his examination was very thorough and complete. In addition to his physical examination of me, he studied the original MRI films as well as the associated readings of the MRI's and indicated the seriousness of the problem. I was impressed that he did not rely only on the evaluation by the physician who read the MRI, but wanted to evaluate the films directly for himself. He then shifted his schedule to accomidate me ASAP. The surgery was successful and went very well. I believe that I would have had major problems if I had followed other advise and not been lucky enough to find Dr. Lavyne. He answered all my questions and was clear and complete in his explanations. I felt very comfortable with and trusting of his diagnosis. My experience with Dr. Lavyne's examination and diagnosis was very reassuring. My wife was equally impressed and pleased with him.  I recommend him without any reservation - I would not go anywhwere else. Dr. Lavyne's office was always helpful and efficient.

    Stanley Holstein MD
I have a chronic muscle disease. It is very rare and is very hard to diagnose. I know people whose diagnosis took years to complete, often after several misdiagnoses. Dr. Holstein made a tentative diagnosis after an hour examination although it took about two more months of clinical tests for confirmation. There is no cure for my illness but Dr. Holstein has been resourceful in finding treatments that keep me walking around and active, even as my illness progresses.

    Devin Friedlander MD
I like him very much and he is almost always on time. He has been treating me for my migraines for quite a while. Everything that he has done so far including the medications has worked. His treatment is impressive and his office staff is very nice too.

They got me an appointment the very next day after I called. They were very good. My doctor took her time with me and was very thorough. I've been seeing them almost 4 years now. They even referred me to Stonybrook Orthopedics and they are very good as well!

    David Saur MD
My elderly father had never seen a neurologist or psychiatrist but he was losing his orientation to time and place and his memory was going. Dr. Saur did an evaluation, had a couple of followup appointments and even visited my Dad at the hospital after he had congestive heart failure. He is a very competent, intelligent and compassionate doctor and I highly recommend him.

We have used Dr. Sultan for one child on continuous basis since 2002 and for evaluations only for two other children. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Low turnover means they get to know your child well. Prompt refills of presecriptions; billing is fine. Dr. Sultan can be impatient with parents (be prepared with notes on symptoms or behavioral issues when you walk into exam room) but has always been kind and gentle mannered with my children. My 10 yr old son has autism, PDD, OCD, ADD and hypotonia and sees Dr. Sultan every 4-6 months or as needed for last 8 years. He LOVES Dr. Sultan and so do we. We have seen Dr. Sultan both in clinic and hospital practice and have been pleased with both. We have taken our kids to CHOP in Pa. and to Johns Hopkins in Md., but Dr. Sultan has consistently met that same standard of care, but closer to home!

    Roger Kula MD,FAAN
I've been going to Roger since 2000. Two of the other members of the institute have performed surgery on me. They have been excellent. I cannot say enough good things about them. The first time I went to them Dr. Kula spent 4 hours with me going over all the information about my problem and he actually listened to me and what I was saying. The doctors I have dealt with there have been excellent.

    Pullman, Dr. Rachel Saunders
She is excellent and I have been going to her for a few years. She is very knowledgeable. I usually take an early appointment so that I don't have to wait that much. If I get an appointment which is later in the day, I have to wait for a while. She is very good about calling me back if I have any questions or if I need prescriptions refilled.
