My mother was moved to Calvary in the final days of her illness. We could no longer care for her at home. She was at Calvary less than a week but her final days were made as comfortable as possible. Her family was able to be with her at all times. The staff was warm, caring and understanding not only of my mother's needs but of our family's as well. They are wonderful people. If my mother could not have been at home until the end, this is where she should have been. I will be forever grateful to the staff at Calvary.

Calvary Hospice, unlike Visiting Nurse Services, was able to work within the standing medication orders protocol of the assisted living facility.  Calvary's personnel were comforting and supportive.  Our family is so grateful to their Queens based personnel.

It went well. I am starting to see again. They make appointments and see me on time. They are very professional and I would continue to use them.

    Hospice of Wake County
From the moment Hospice became involved, everything got easier. Help was available, doors were opened, details were seen to. Hospice coordinated directly with the hospital and with our family, for my father's return to his apartment. Within half an hour of his arrival home, a hospice worker arrived to help him settle in. She provided information, worked through what meds were and were not still in his daily regime, and took care of organizing the pills themselves. He needed an inhaler with a prescription. She made a phone call. Forty-five minutes after that a delivery person walked in the door. And all of this took place over Memorial Day weekend. The level of service, both initially and ongoing, was superb. Each hospice worker we dealt with had kindness and efficiency in equal measure. They spoke with my father as a person, not just a diagnosis. They were reliable in their scheduled appointments and swift in emergencies. I cannot praise them highly enough.

The care she was provided was wonderful. All of the rooms are private and you have 24 hour access to visit your loved one. When my mom was there they gave me food priviliges and I would say they are an excellent hospital.

Calvary was able to stabilize my aunt's condition so that she was able to return home and receive care.

What can I say? It's a hospice. The whole experience is a painful blur to me because I was there watching my favorite person in the world die. The staff was very nice and quick to provide assistance. Everyone from administrators down to janitors were polite and compassionate. My aunt was there for well over a month and I came nearly, if not every day for hours on end. I never had cause to complain about cleanliness of the room or the care they gave my aunt. The room was clean, though a little cramped when a lot of of visitors came at once. There was adequate seating in the room and a pull out chair you could use if you wanted to sleep over. You were allowed access 24 hours a day. Supervised children are allowed to visit. My cousin gave birth to a daughter during this time and it was so wonderful that my aunt was able to see her. The nurses were prompt with morphine, when needed. The ladies who bathed and repositioned my aunt were friendly and kind. Everyone was respectful and professional. This is going to sound trite, but there is a very good diner in the hospital that we went to a lot. (Calvary Brooklyn is located in Lutheran Hospital.) It was inexpensive and the food was good and it was a pleasant place to decompress with a cup of tea. It was so much better than a regular hospital cafeteria. Parking was not bad. There are a few lots on the block and even some curbside spots occasionally. Also, the religious staff were excellent. We're catholic, and even though I am not religious at all, I found speaking to them to be a very moving and helpful thing for me. In short, I highly recommend Calvary for end of life palliative care.

The treatment has been very good. He has only been there a week. I went with them, because I was told they were the best.

They were wonderful. I used them from January to April of this year. They were always available with help, giving suggestions and giving extra care when needed. They were very compassionate and there was a whole team of people that were involved in the care. I would recommend them to anybody. I do not have a negative thing to say about them. I would use them again.

    Metropolitan Jewish Health System Foundation
Metropolitan Jewish Health System Foundation was very professional, well coordinated, and everybody was there when they said they would be. The hospice aids, nurses, pastor, and social workers were outstanding, caring people. The qualifications are quite involved but the services are unbelievable.
