    Coastal Fabric & Foam
Coastal Fabric and Foam is THE one-stop-shop for all your sewing projects small to large. The fabric selection is beyond extensive, and the service is top-notch, bar none. Family-owned and operated, with friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating employees. All the staff I interacted with went above and beyond to help me find everything I needed. I will definitely be using Coastal Fabric for all my future projects! I cannot recommend them highly enough!

He did a phenomenal job matching the leather to the factory spec. He did a great job and is a very nice person. He even did a few extra small repairs without charging me. His services are mobile and he stands be hind his work.

    McCoys Upholstery
McCoy's did a great job reupholstering my motorcycle seat. It was a tricky job too because of all the unusual foam shaping required for the seat pan. However, Sean (one of the owners) was more than up to the job. The new seat is great and the vinyl and white trim/piping are high quality and period correct for my bike. It may be a little expensive, but it is worth it for the quality of the work. I think McCoy's did a great job! I am impressed by how well this all worked out. Would use McCoy's again and recommend to friends.

    Gary Starr Upholstery
The owner's name is Mike Starr.  He is absolutely phenomenal.  He is a real deal.  He is in the business from a really long time.  He is the second-generation repairman.  He really does a tremendous work.  He kept the name of the company back from over 20 years ago.  He took over from his dad; but he kept the name.  He doesn’t market the work on airplanes; but if it comes to him, he takes it.  He is not consistent, so it is not something he actually focuses on; but he can do it.  My overall experience was excellent.  He took a horrific care from an older car, where the seat belt had literally rubbed like a massive hole.  He made it completely disappear.  He made the steering wheel look brand new from the 17 years of driving.  His work is flawless.  He takes his time.  He can tell what he is doing.  He matches all of his colors himself.  He doesn't use premix paints.  He mixes paints and matches the color of the seats leather.  He is a true artist.  He works with the paint to get the exact match.  I was very impressed.  I can tell he has been doing this from a very long time.  There were definitely cheaper guys, but the problem was I couldn't get a feedback on any of these guys.  When I asked the auto guys, they said Mike is not cheap; but he is phenomenal.  The price was relative.  I wanted it to be done right.  I didn't want to pay for the multiple repairs that end up cost me money.  In the end, I think his price is fair.  I would use him again because he not only did the work; but he did it right.  He said he will stand behind the work.  If he needed to come back and repair, he will do it for free.  I didn't have any issues with him.  He is busy during anytime of the year.  I called him more than once because I really wanted to get him, and I got him within 24 hours.  He met me when he said he was, so that was not an issue.  He represented himself very well.  He has a good personality.  I have been referring him to friends.  There is no complaint from this guy.  He does a really amazing work.

    Stitch N Sew Centre
Very knowledgeable and friendly service. I was also given advice on how to keep my sewing machine in top working order and what parts are no longer replaceable.  I will have this machine for another 40 years.

Tom's Auto Upholstery/DBA: Creative Auto Interiors
Front seats of my 1999 Ford E350 van were in a bad way for a long time. Had a along drive coming up ( 8+ hours) and wanted new cushions in the front seats. My mechanic (Jonathan D'Avirro of Mahwah Automotive Center in Ramsey NJ please read my review) recommended Tom's Auto Upholstery (now called Creative Auto Interiors same address and phone number as Tom's Auto Upholstery). Also found out that some Police Departments in the area use them as well. So I called them up to get a price and availability. They wouldn't give me a price, needed to see the condition of the existing seats and talk to me about my expectations for the seats. I was a little ticked, a seat is a seat...right? And I didn't live in the next town over, I lived a good 45 minutes away. So I shopped around in a 30 mile radius for another auto upholsterer - there were some but couldn't find any good reviews. The ones who did have good reviews were no longer in business. I also tried like he!! to get new seats, but no luck. So I went up on a Saturday and got an estimate and scheduled an appointment for a Monday (so I could drop the van off the night before). Then I proceeded to pull out all the stops looking for a less expensive fix but nothing, I mean nothing was available. My front and middle row chairs have the female end of the seat belt attached to the seat base. If it wasn't for that seat belt setup, I could have had 4 brand new seats for the price of what the two front re-cushioning were costing me. Anyway, I dropped the van off Sunday night and went to pickup on Monday after work. The seats didn't look that different but when you sat on them, OMG what a difference. I had to readjust the mirrors up, that's how much the cushions made a difference. It had been years since the lumbar support worked, it now worked again and feels terrific. The van was in the same clean, spotless condition as I had dropped it off. In fact the owner commented on what great shape and how clean the van was (if he only new just weeks before...ready my review of Deluxe Auto Polishing, Westwood, NJ). And the bill was less than the original quote amount because the work didn't take as much time as was estimated! Can't beat the great service and would go back in a heartbeat.

    D & R Car Top
I called up and spoke with Rich. He asked me to bring over the car. He looked at the seat, brought out samples to check the color, and gave me a cost and time estimate. He took a small deposit and the material was ordered. I brought the car back two days later and the seat was reupholstered and completed in 5 hours. It looks great! I would recommend D and R Car Top if you are looking for a professional auto re-upholsterer.

    Anthony's Volkswagen Repair Shop, LLC
I couldn't be more pleased with the work performed.  Unlike many repair shops that look and often find ways to increase the costs, Anthony did the opposite.  He carefully and patiently checked all possible scenarios, before recommending the (correct) course of action.  3 weeks and a 2000 mile round-trip Savannah Georgia later, I'm still just as happy.  I will certainly be using Anthony again and highly recommend others do to.

    Gary Starr Upholstery
My wife wore out the leather in her car's driver seat getting in and out of the car. I repaired it twice but it didn't look great and didn't last(lasted about a year). Michael D. Starr returned my call. He said he charges a fixed amount($150) for auto seat repairs and does a lot of work for high end auto dealers. I sent him pictures of the damage and he confirmed the price. We set a date and time. He called in the morning to confirm the appointment and called again to say he was running a little late and we pushed the appointment back an hour. He arrived on time, completed the work, cleaned and re-died the entire seat. He even managed to get the repair to closely resemble the grain of the leather but was unable to replicate the stitching. If I had contacted him sooner, the stitching would not have been damaged and the seat would have looked like new after the repair. My only issue with the experience is that I had to call 2 or 3 times before I got a callback which was 3 days after my first call. Once we connected the process went very smoothly. I have attached before and after pictures.
