    Mr. Norm's
The start of project was delayed due to some issues on our part.  Once the work began after making a deposit of half down, they arrived late and left early every day.  Also said they would be working on Saturday, but ended up being a no show, without the courtesy of a phone call.  Then the 2nd day into the second week, after collecting one fourth of what was left on the balance we owed the1st week they were here, announced it was going to be over $ 2,000.00 more to finish the project due to an increase in labor and materials!  Also the head of the project had a very foul mouth.

    Kiefer-Randall Construction & Remodeling LLC
Started on May 8 2012.  Removed bathroom vanity and toilet to lay new carpet tiles.  Created water leaks in sink and toilet lines and didn't fix them until I brought it to their attention.  Took me a while to clean it up and dry it out after the leak was repaired.  New windows were not ?wrapped? on the outside until the second week after they were installed.  The inside wall, of one of the new windows, had spray foam insulation on the wall.  The trim will not cover, I?ll have to paint.   Came home one day and found dirt tracked in my bedroom.  There wasn't any work being done in my bedroom.  They had also been in the upstairs and there wasn't any work being done there.  Came home one day and found a bottle of Sports drink in my refrigerator.   My livingroom ceiling fan was taken down and damaged in the process.  I had to buy a new one, it was installed free of charge.  New Bathroom door was installed and had to be adjusted three times so it would stay open.   When the new bathroom window was installed the bathroom tub was chipped in the process even though I had asked them twice to be careful.  I have a dark blemish where they tried to repair the tub.  I'm not happy because this shouldn?t have happened in the first place.   But now it's November and the biggest problem is I have mice running around in my livingroom ceiling.  The livingroom ceiling is supposed to be insulated.  If it is, why am I hearing mice running around in the ceiling?  I contacted Jim Randall and his response is  "I am not a rodent expert, but I do know they can and WILL burrow through insulation and other materials. You are going to have to call an exterminator."   My feeling is if  my livingroom ceiling is insulated, then someone has to prove it.  Mice would have a very difficult time "burrowing" through insulation and it sounds like they have free  reign.   My Opinion of Kiefer-Randall:   If I was at home when the work was being done, there weren?t any problems.  It only happened when I wasn?t there.  I want to be able to trust someone coming into my home.  I don?t want to take time off from work to babysit.  I expect work to be guaranteed.  The job started on May 8, 2012 but never finished until August 16, 2012 for a job that was supposed to take 1.5 weeks.

    PATTERSON ELECTRIC
When we were considering having insulation blown into our attic and walls we were concerned that there might be old knob-and-tube wiring which could be disturbed in the process. Patterson spent over 2 hours looking in our attic, and looking inside every outlet in the house to be sure it would be safe to have the insulation blown in. They did not even charge us for this inspection!!

Since then, they have upgraded the electrical system in our garage apartment, so the tenants could have a dishwasher, for example.

They are very honest and trustworthy

They were very good. We have a well. They came in and we had them set it up so that we could plug our generator directly into our well pump so that we could have water. It worked beautifully. We have used him a couple of times since then. They were on time and were very professional. They gave us a very exact estimate before we had the work done. We were very pleased. My husband explained to him exactly what he wanted and the electrician recognized that and explained exactly what we were doing, what we needed to do and things like that. He brought along an apprentice and asked our permission to have the apprentice working with him. They were very professional. My husband felt that the price was good. He was very impressed with the guy’s professionalism. It was a good experience. The quality of his work was good. He told my husband how to do it safely and gave us some tips when using our generator and things like that. He was full of information. We would use him again in the future; in fact, we are going to eventually put a standby generator and he will be doing the work. We have already talked to him about it.

He spent two to three hours doing this and did not charge me a cent to do it. This company only charges you for the time they are working and I will not use any other electrician. It is old fashioned small town servic and I will use them again in the future.

    Matco Electric Corp
Job was done by two MATCO electricians. They had to work in the attics during the hot summer months installing the conduit, moving existing and pulling new wire. All work was done in a professional manner, meeting all code requirements. The electricians were polite, courteous, and hard working. I would definitely use MATCO for any future electrical work.
