    Brian gave excellent advice on how to do all the maintenance work with the foundation myself and adding a dehumidifier instead of spending 10-20 thousand on waterproofing a basement that didn't need waterproofing. I highly recommend Brian as he is very honest and told me to call any time for more advice on any job free of cost.

    Signed the contract in October 2016. The work still is not done today, July 24, 2017. He promises to finish but never has. Told me Saturday, July 22, 2017, he wants more money before he can purchase the doors to finish this project. Yet..last May 3rd he emailed me and claimed to "have purchased all the materials needed and they are just sitting here." (see email photo)That does not even make sense. Which was not the truth? Mind you, there were no additional issues that arose to merit more funds. The full contract amount was for $14,700, minus the $441 check I initially gave him, with the remaining amount of this loan being $14,259. Anthony submitted and was paid $7,000 for windows, $3,000 for one-car garage roof, $600 for electrical which he did not complete everything under contract like covers install on outlets (see photos), $500, to install a kitchen faucet and for a slow bathroom drain (which he did not tend to), $600 to replace the rotted bottom cellar steps and to purchase and install a dehumidifier, which he did not do, $1,500 to repair a small section of the foundation, and debri removal $500. Plus, under contract he had submitted $1,000 for a fire rated door and a storm door, which he has not installed though he claimed he had purchased them prior to May 3, 2017. "(see email). However, now he claims he does not have the doors and that is why he needs the money. So, I wonder, which statement was the truth? He received a total of $14,141 in payments to date with a remaining $559 to be paid if work scope is completed, when he refused to return and finish unless he gets additional funds, which I do not have. NOTE: I also requested my windows to be two-panel slider windows and he installed three-panel ones then tried to claim that I had "chosen" them. I have emails and text that he and I exchanged where I explicitly stated I wanted two-panel silders. And he did not install what I requested. Saturday, he claimed he had not heard of this but I have documentation as proof that he knew (see email). I also have eye witness stating that I had requested the two-panel windows. He has been paid for work he did not complete and he should return the money or finish the work scope. I also see he gives senior citizens 15% discount. He gave me none.

    John called ahead to inform me that he was running a little late due to a previous repair.  When he arrived, he immediately identified the problem with our washing machine and proceeded with the repairs.  After completing the replacement of the broken part, he tested the machine to verify that the repair was effective.  He also checked the motor and pump to verify that they were in good working order.  He noticed that another piece that connected the upper and lower agitator had worn down and was not engaging the top of the agitator completely.  He said he had the part and could repair that as well for an additional $10.  I authorized the work, and in a matter of a few minutes he completed the repairs and reassembled the washing machine.  The machine has been working flawlessly and as good as new.  Great experience.  Good people.  Would recommend to anybody.

    The contractors arrived on time, around 8 am and set to work. It was just about the hottest day of the year and they worked right through the heat and finished the job in the time they had estimated.  I provided some cold drinks and snacks, for which they said they were very grateful. I also put the hose out for them to use to cool off and they appreciated that also.  They did a very good job and I would use them again if I needed that service. I think they were from the Syracuse area.
    There was a little residue (like sawdust) in the lawn from cutting, but otherwise, they cleaned up everything they brought.
    Jeremy at Lowe's Oswego store was the one who did the estimate and was my contact for the work. He did forget to contact me for a few days, but they had lost a couple of people who normally do that job and he was doing that in addition to his regular in-store job. Other than that delay, it went well.

    Patrick Otoole was the one who originally came out and looked over what we wanted done.  He told us from the beginning he works by the hour and wouldn't give us a set price for the job.   He quoted us $45 an hour and informed us it would take 1-2 hours to remove and install each door.  We had 9 interior doors and 2 exterior doors that he was to replace.  The 2 exterior doors he quoted us at about 3-4 hours each.  At this rate and hours he quoted, would cost around $1170 or 26 hours labor.  When all was said and done, that price came to be almost tripled that and came in about 85 hours labor.  When I questioned him about this, he said, "I told you this was an old house", in which I replied in turn, you knew that when you quoted me for the job so I assumed he took that into consideration when he gave us the quote.  Needless to say, if we knew it would have cost us almost $4000, we would never have went with him.  He was also contracted to do the windows and gave us about the same quote in 1-2 hours for each window.  He stayed close to the quote he gave us on the windows but by this time I had already made it clear we could and would not be able to pay for the windows if they came in almost 4x more than the original quote like the doors did.  We feel he clearly under quoted the job just to get in and once in, stuck it to us.  4 months later, we go to hang the new pine doors up after they were stained and 85% of the doors would not close properly.  I called Patrick up and he said once again the house is very old and probably shifted.  He said he would send somebody out to check the doors in a couple weeks.  Nobody ever came and ended up hiring somebody else to fix the doors.  Once done, I asked the new contractor what they had to do and they said they had to completely remove the door casings and reset them.  They thought at first that maybe some doors got mixed up but when they had to do a couple doors where there were only one size in the whole house, they knew it was shotty work.  Finally on September 9-10, 2013, we had a bad thunderstorm and rained all night.  We went to house this morning and saw water all over the first floor floor and ceiling.  We went the the 2nd story and looked at the ceiling that is connected to the roof and there is not a single water drop on the celing.  Low and behold, one of the windows Patrick Otoole's guys installed, there is water streaks from the base of the window sill on the left and right side running to the floor which apparently ran to the first floor ceiling before it leaked through and onto the floor.  I called Patrick and left him a voicemail asking him to have somebody come up and check the window.  6 hours later I called him from a DIFFERENT number and he picks up and informs me he did get my voicemail, just chose not to call me back.  He tells me AGAIN, he will send somebody out to look at it in 2 weeks.  I informed him that he said that last time and he said because I didn't bother to follow up with him 2 weeks later, he figured I fixed it myself.  I informed him that I should not have to make sure he keeps his word and follows through with it.  Shortly after he "pretends to not hear me" and hangs up on me.  I called back a few times afterwards assuming it was an accident and he refuses to answer my calls not.  In all, STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS.  They wont stand by there work after they have been paid and low ball quote you to get there foot in the door only to later to really nail you with a higher bill.  BUYER BEWARE.  Only positive an A rating I gave them was there were on time usually.  Price would be acceptable if they actually followed through with your price quotes/estimates.  There is times where things take longer but to go from 26 hours to 85 hours, that is somebody just taking advantage of people.

    It couldn't have been more perfect.  They came in and did their work, cleaned up and when we got home from work, you could see progress.  Besides that, it was always very clean!  They are very neat and meticulous about their work.  Perfectionists at the least.  It was awesome.  It was a little more than we were wanting to pay out but we knew in the end it was going to be worth it.  The turnaround time was unbelievable.  We had graduation coming up and needed them done and out by a certain date and everything was complete, as promised.   The first visit was a consult.  They sat down with us and we explained what we wanted done.  Then, they would offer input and ideas and cost cutting ideas as well, based on our budget.  It was always about us and our budget.  They were very accomodating.  They were always at the other end of the phone and provided cell numbers as well as office hours to reach them.  Communication was superb.  We can in within budget and we absolutely love it.  It could not have turned out better.  We were new at contacting a contractor and weren't sure but we went with references as well.  We were more surprised at the cost of materials than anything, therefore we were a little more flexible on stuff.  We were able to shop and purchase every item ourselves and they took care of the delivery.  A couple of items we ordered online because its what we wanted and the price was right.   They were always helping us find the lowest price.  We went to their facilities and learned a lot about their products and services.  We couldn't have asked for better treatment.
