It went very well. They were very punctual. Davis and Austin, as the owner was very punctual. Everything was done very orderly and he was very helpful. He was not pushy and was very honest. He didn't pressure us. His intentions are so upright. He believes in his work, it's not just about money.

overall - excellent service.  From the site survey to installation this company is cooperative, concerned and friendly.  They have been involved in solar since its beginning  - late 1970's.  They are experienced - answer every question we ask.  Utilize computer programs to show you what the final product will look like.  Called us after install to make sure we were ok and answer questions. Also installed solar edge (zigbee) wireless connection to my house computer plus great brook solar follows my solar program as well.

    Halco
I wasn’t as sold on this project as my husband, but we were using propane to heat our home in upstate NY and the cost had tripled in 10 years. We have a large home and we had to find a way to get the utilities under control or think about downsizing. (Heaven forbid 2 people live in something smaller!!!) My husband is good with figures and was able to convince me that the payments would at least be fixed and we would have it paid off in a reasonable amount of time. It would be hard to compare it to your payoff time because we had solar panels installed at the same time so we are pretty energy independent now. (In fact, the utility company paid us over $600 last year when all was totaled on the electric use. ) We’ve gone through two winters now with the geothermal heat and we haven’t had to use the back-up propane in either year. The only negative that I can express is that when it’s below zero outside my floors don’t warm up as nicely as they did with the propane in-floor heat. Halco warned us of that because the geo heats to 120and deg; instead of the higher temperature that the propane heated. Halco system and service before, during and after has been exceptional. The entire system, including the solar, could have been such a mess, but they were careful. They came back twice to regrade where the geo was drilled. I ordered beautiful cast bronze grates because I said if I was going to have holes in my floors again they would be good-looking. I told the project manager what I wasted and he handled ordering and installing them. (Because they were not in the original estimate, I had to pay for those out of pocket.) The lead installer has been to the house a few times because we have had problems with the upstairs heat. Part of that is because we didn't really understand the way the system works. We keep the upstairs heat down most of the winter because it is unused now that the kids are moved out. But when we do want to heat it we have to bump it up a few degrees at a time or else it turns on the boiler. He installed the newest and best thermostats to help us use the system more easily and there was no extra charge for them or his labor. One thing I do like is that the air-conditioning is gentle. I always hated the way air-conditioning is icy cold; tis isn’t. We seldom use it but when we do, it’s great.

    Foley Builders Inc
Randy Foley owner of Foley builders is a honest, hardworking man who prides himself on his work and he does everything you ask for plus more. His workers are honest and always do their jobs and go above and beyond what you usually see in this area with builders. Randy excels in everything he does and will not allow his customers mediocre work. He makes sure that everything is done perfectly and that his customers are happy with everything he does from carpentry to painting to sidewalks to remodeling. He checks and rechecks all the work that is done and his work is excellent at all times. Foley Builders are the only builders in this area who excel in everything they take on. If you need any work done on your home, at any time of the year it will be done quickly and without any problems or delays. They stand behind every single thing they do and go out of their way to make their customers happy. Randy does not contract out his work like so many other area contractors do and he knows everyone of the people that are working on your home which is a big plus in this area as most contractors get other people that are not working for them to do the things they cannot do and then you end up with strangers to you and to the contractors in your home which is not a secure feeling for most homeowners and businesses. Randy and Foley Builders will get the job done and will make sure you are extremely happy with everything they do. Foley Builders is a must for you should you need any work on your home!
