    Affordable Solutions by Brian
I love that Brian was here for all of the repair work, helping to do the work and also supervising his supporting staff. Brian is very ethical and I trust him to treat my home as he would treat his own. Bonus- As he was leaving Brian helped me light my gas fireplace!!! I will hire him again this spring for some exterior painting. Fantastic small business!

Excellent. Ed and his team were very organized and completed the job in a day and a half. They took care to avoid damage to decking and landscaping. They thoroughly cleaned up everything prior to leaving and removed all debris. We couldn't be more pleased with the job they did and our new roof.

    Macri Home Improvement
We hired Joe Macri Home Improvement for new windows and siding on our home. We signed a contract with him and gave him a check for $10,200. on Oct. 17, 2013.
Nov. 2013- asphalt siding was removed,  insulation board was partially installed.
March 2014- We did not see anyone from the company until Spring. (Work was promised to be done verbally before Thanksgiving of 2013) Workers began siding the front of house and left side only.
March 2014- Joe Macri asked for a check so that he could pick up the windows. I wrote a check for $5,200.
April 2014- His workers began taking out old windows and installing new windows. Old windows, tools, ladders were all left on our porch and kitchen roofs when they were taken out and walked on. All of these roofs now leak. The windows that were put in were installed improperly. Windows did not open and were almost impossible to close and lock. Some were crooked. The worker left a mess in every room he worked in and disposed of our interior moldings.
May 2014- Joe Macri promised to fix things and make it right. He took every window out, reinstalled it and replaced interior molding. Windows worked better, but still not right. The top panes of the windows do not stay up, some of the bottom casings bow because they are too tight. It takes one person to push up the top pane and another to push down the bottom pane in order to lock them. There are still windows you can visually see are crooked. We discovered at a later date that 2 windows upstairs were not trimmed with wood molding, but he used the tin covering that was used on the exterior of the windows.
Siding that was put on the side of the house was taken off because it was installed incorrectly. The seams were not stacked and about 3 inches of the bottom of the house was exposed and not covered.
May 2014- Joe worked at the house for about a week, then we never saw him again. He sent 2 workers who worked about 3-4 hours who didn't know what to do. They built out the wood around the windows on the exterior windows. Some of the right  and rear side of the house was sided, but again, incorrectly. They replaced the insulation board which was also installed incorrectly.
May 2014- Workers arrived at our house and loaded up all tools. we never saw them again and Joe Macri will not respond to our calls.
August 2014- I sent him a certified letter asking him to either complete the work he started correctly, pay us our money back, and/or pay another contractor to fix the damage he had done and the work he left undone. (I got several estimates done from other contractors).
July 2014- Joe received the letter, but no response was made.
Sept. 2014- We consulted with a lawyer who said that it would coast $10,000-$15,000. to take him to court. Small claims court is capped at $4,000. We paid to have a judgement search done and discovered several others with judgements against him, so even if we did take him to court, the chances of him paying are small.
I don't know what to do. I have no more money to repair what he has done. Everything I had went to him. I called the Police but they say it's a civil matter, I have to take him to court. It will cost more money then what he owes me to take him to court, and even if I win, no one makes him pay. The judgement search turned up 11 judgements already against him. I would be on the bottom of a very long list already against him.

I contacted EJ's Contractors for an emergency repair to a leaky roof. Ed met me at the house at the time promised to look at the repair needed. He examined the roof from the inside as well as outside. Ed clearly explained what needed to be done and provided a detailed quote for the work. Ed completed the work on time and was able to match the existing shingle color perfectly. The roof was only six years old but matching shingle color is not always easy. I will definitely use this contractor for any future work. Very pleased.

    McCarthy Roofing Co.
I have left multiple email and voice messages with this provider for an estimate over the past 30 days but have received no response at all from them.  I will be moving forward on this project with another company.

at the time the weather did not co-operate with us, so that was a hold up.I had the job done previously by a different person, that was not done correctly. So Brian and his crew had to fix someone else cobbled up mess. I also had him come over to a different property, to give me an estimate on another job. That was 3 months ago and  I have not heard from him.

    Van Derhoof Roofing Co Inc
We received 6 roofing estimates. Van Derhoof's estimate was on the high side but it wasn't the highest. We felt comfortable going with them because of the confidence we had in what Mr  Everett recommended. The roof has a 50 year transferable warranty. The work was completed in four days. Tom, the foreman was very helpful. He car pooled from Parish with his crew everyday. The weather turned nasty but they worked right through in the rain and snow..... Very professional job.

    Campany Roofing Co Inc
They came and had everything done in one day and cleaned up after themselves. They could have been a little bit more professional, but the work was done well. The had set up an initial date but it had rained that day so they did not come out to the work at the appointment time but came later.

    Macri Home Improvement
He is very incompetent.  He has not delivered the type of work that he has promised.  He keeps telling me that he will take care of me but he always leaves me hanging.  He will work for a few hours at a time and they he will disappear for days.  I have to keep calling him to come back and he gives me a lot of different reasons of why he has not finished my job.  He has also damaged my landscaping.  He also wanted his money upfront before he started the job.

Shampoo Your Roof by Gannon Pest Control
I hired Jerry's Roof Shampoo after seeing ad in paper as well as advertised testimonials. Price was as quoted. Arrived on time. Total time to complete job was 2 hours. Using spray cleaner and low pressure water vacuum, roof was returned to new condition. In fact, the finished project looked like a new colored shingle on my roof. Roof was 13 years old and returned it to the original clean color. I had forgotten what the original roof looked like.
