  • Ralph Nace of Supreme Painting said in his contract that he would prime and paint two coats of paint on my house, plus the prep work of course. My house in from the 1960's. Ralph Nace did not prime anything all though there was clearly bare wood in many places all over the house. He told me that the Sherwin Williams super paint he used was good as a primer and a paint so it did not need to be primed. I believed him. He painted one coat on most of the house, some parts had not even gotten one coat of paint they were still white and unprimed,  He said the next day the job was going to be finished. I asked him about the second coat, when was he going to do that? He said that when spraying, that going back and forth is two coats even though it does not dry between coats. I researched the paint and found out that it is not suitable as primer, even though it is good paint.  It also needs two separate coats with drying time between. I emailed him to tell him that fact, and he came very early the next day and took all his stuff. So now my house has one very streaky coat of paint and many oversprays.
While he was there, he worked erratically, an hour one day, a few hours another day. He worked a total of seven separate days and the hours he was here totaled 32 hours. He had himself and one other person for five of those days, and he mostly told the guy what to do and did nothing himself. the last two days were the 7 hour days and he had two other guys, one who was clearly working his first day with Ralph.Again, Ralph did not work he directed the whole time.
The person who worked with him the first five days made many inappropriate comments to  me and I felt uncomfortable though I laughed it off at the time. This may not matter to most people: there was one of those big fuzzy orange and black caterpillars walking on the house and they just sprayed over it with paint.
The whole experience was awful from start to finish. If you even think of working with this guy ask around first. Ask at the local paint stores if you should work with him. While you are asking, get a painter that they suggest and use them. After I got other estimates to fix the job Superior Painting did I found out from the painters that he has the worst reputation. Get references and do not trust the reviews on this site because this is not a good or honest or pleasant person to do your work for you.

  • I am about to do a complete bathroom demo/ construction with Curt. He's more reliable, organized, versatile, and capable than any contractor or worker I've ever employed. Great attitude, flexible, he's got good ideas but listens. No surprises except for the GREAT quality of his work. The previous work went perfectly. Weather always comes into play with outside work, but everything was finished on time. Curt always called and texted me back promptly and showed up early consistently. His employees are courteous and polite, and do great work. Can't say enough good things about him.

  • Terrific.  Eddie was very professional and responsive.  Work was superb. It was done on a continuous basis - no delays, except for weather.  Clean job site.  Really, everything as it should be.

  • We thought it would be a challenge to repair and maintain a weekend house from a distance, and working with Ken started out well with him on top of our repairs and in constant communication with us. While Ken did many jobs well, there were other jobs that we left unfinished, or were not done up to the same standard.  He did communicate well at the beginning of our working relationship together, but after the last round of work, did not tell us that our lighting was installed improperly, that our custom closet door did not close as it should, and most importantly, that he failed to protect our newly refinished floors and trim work.  They were damaged with dents, paint spills, and drywall. When we spoke with him about our concern about his work, and Ken was willing to come back and repair the damage and work that we were unhappy with. We chose not to have him come back due to time already lost on the job.
Ken is a friendly and personable man, and we do hope that we can reconcile this matter and perhaps work with him on smaller jobs in the future.
