    Felders Roofing & General Contracting
Excellent service. Responded during a rainstorm and went right to work to diagnose and fix the problem then offered to be back if that did not solve our problem. We have always had excellent service from Felders whether it was installing a whole new roof, repairing a ridge vent, or diagnosing a roof leak.

I had a lot of various tasks addressed in my 1850's home in Victor. Indoor painting, deck staining, curtain rods hung, replacement of door hardware, refinishing an old closet, gutter work on small roof, replacement of dryer vent , odds and ends repair in the home. They replaced my water heater as well. I had several different handy men and all were very polite and responsive. They were good when I gave suggestions or asked for attention to detail. Very pleased overall. More work planned in the Spring!

    JTC Remodeling Inc
We are extremely happy with the results of our remodel performed by John Schroeder of JTC Remodeling. We stumbled upon John from a referral of another contractor. He and his brother in law Dale did an exceptional job on a very difficult remodel. John gave me an estimate that was thorough and detailed and at the end of the project there were no surprises. He was on site when he said he would be and didn’t disappear during the job. We renovated an attic space adding a set of stairs from the first level to the attic in our cabin on the Lake. We added a large bedroom, new bathroom, TV area, additional storage, 2 windows, lighting, new outlets, custom shutters, some siding repair and split system Air Conditioning units. Sounds easy, however the floor Joists were not uniform, the space had no insulation at the beginning so it was extremely hot, due to the angles of the roof some of the space was very confining and we had to figure out how to add a set of stairs, plumbing and other items in a very small area. That said, John’s attention to detail solved a major obstacle we had with this project. He consulted with a stair contractor that enabled us to add the staircase without significant impact to our first floor living space. He figured out how to build the stairs to code in a very tight area. John takes his work and reputation seriously. He goes above and beyond to ensure the customer is happy with the results. He did this job over 6 weeks while we were over 3 hours away. We entrusted him with our house and the $40,000 investment we were making from afar. Like any significant project, we had a few issues come our way, however working through those issues were relatively easy. John has a list of subcontractors that are also very talented and trustworthy. We would not hesitate to hire John again or refer him to anybody

Terrible they started by coming on to quote with all these promises of time and quality. They postponed us over 4 weeks and a jury b that was only supposed to take two weeks took over two months. I have pictures of the terrible work. We had to send a cease work letter and hire someone to redo and finish the job. Make sure you get a scope of work so the quote is legal and you have a leg to stand on when it all goes wrong. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with hiring a contractor.

Mark was very knowledgable, easy to work with, showed up on time ready to work, and was overall very helpful and informative without being pushy or opinionated. I would definitely recommend him for any contracting work and plan on hiring him in the future for other projects that come up!

John and crew were excellent. The damage had occured over many years and was more than expected. He repaired in a timely manner for a reasonable cost and kept us informed every step of the way.

Great at initial interview; real conman! Promimised box vents; which were never installed. When shingles were delivered to roof, offloaded at such a rapid pace so as to slamdrop bundles repeatedly, causing internal seams on ceiling to become prominent, through popcorn finish. Substructure, at gable end of house was damaged by fallen tree. Several broken rafters were never replaced and instead, sheathed-over leaving roof sunken with involved bedroom ceiling, sagging. Refused ceiling light location preference. Damaged exterior window trim on multiple windows, ignored responsibility! Left roof debris in bathroom exhaust vents causing them to infiltrate & stall. Did not see permits or witness inspections at any stage of completion. Workers forced to use flimsy wornout aluminum ladders; had to borrow class 1 heavy duty ladder, from myself to reach gable end. Area which I've had to, subsequently, repair twice! Workers not given masks or safety glasses when pulling-down old ceiling & blown-in insulation. Several roof tiles have blown-off after replacement; needing reinstallation fo a second time. Demanded cash for payment as refused minimal wait from insurance reimbursement. Note: Researched three bogas, (previous customers) references, before contacting work. Also wanted to support local, Mount Morris, workforces expecting a return in confident/competent workmanship. Misled, Disappointed & Deceived

Once they got started it was all hands on deck! There were at least three carpenters on site for over three weeks including Saturdays. I I had purchased a cottage next to mine and I wanted to connect the two. Kyle Felder surveyed the situation and came up with a creative way to connect the cottages. It was a tricky proposition. But, it came out superbly. Next, they gutted the cottage to the studs and completely rebuilt it. Mr. Felder gathered the key professionals together and we came up with a plan to reconfigure the previous layout. By gathering the plumber, electrician and carpenters at one meeting, mistakes were avoided. The carpenters did excellent work. This building is close to 70 yrs. old so nothing was true. They were able to work around difficult angles and make it look beautiful. I’m a woman who asks lots of questions. Everyone was patient with me and answered all my questions. No upfront money was asked for. I paid 20% about two weeks into it. The final payment was made after all work was completed!

    Alden Painting
I hired Alden Painting this past April to replace some bad siding, install gutters, and paint the exterior of my home. I am more than pleased with their work. The place looks great and I will definitely hire them again when the need arises.
