    Kitchen & Bath Works INC
Over the more than twenty years we have owned our current home we have undertaken a good number of renovation and building projects. Never has our experience been so positive, professional and expert. Throughout the process of completely renovating our master bathroom, from initial estimate to completion, Louis made communication a priority. At no time was there confusion on what was to take place or when work was to be completed. The entire job, excepting custom glass, was completed within two weeks, as promised, with exceptional workmanship on carpentry, tile and all other trades. We can't recommend Kitchen and Bath Works enough and we look forward to working with Louis on future projects.

Bill showed up late, took some measurements. Then gave me a business card, and said he would email the estimate in a couple of days. that was a week ago today! I've called him repeatedly with no return phone call.

    AJC Designs Construction Inc
A substantial project which require us to move out for over a year. It was a nice old english tudor which needed a serious upgrade. We had plans drawn and it took us some time to pick a contractor. After number of interviews and estimates we chose Arty and AJC Designs, Inc. We got along well and his proposal was sound as to the time and value. We engaged Arty first on a smaller project which was a success and subsequently broke the ground on the big job. It involved expanding the footprint of the house which meant excavation, foundation/concrete work and subsequently all stages of construction and finishing work involving building a complete house. There is no point of going into too much detail as there isn't enough time but think about the complexity of the project which spans all aspects of new construction and existing structure renovation, whether framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, heating & AC, finishing, custom millwork, paint, wallpaper, etc. Arty and his team handled this well. I especially appreciated the work ethic of the crew which worked continuously throughout the harsh winter. Arty also worked well with the architect. There were some complications along the way as it is normal on a project of this scope but Arty handled it well. We are happy with the overall experience and the outcome. The home is both beautiful and comfortable. Arty is a very decent guy and that made a big difference in otherwise difficult process of major construction project

    Kuhn Construction, Inc.
Salesman was pushy, we had damage from Sandy. He wanted our insurance estimate so he knew what he could spend. He pushed for things we didn't want and were un-necessary. When we wanted undamaged cabinets re-installed he said only if they were not damaged in their removal etc. then they could be re-installed. It sounded like they WOULD find extra work for which we would pay. He couldn't understand why we wouldn't take a loan to really do a lot of improvements.

He lost the job for Kuhn.

    Responsible Remodeling Inc
Roof, siding & carpentry crews work independently and were never pre-briefed by big boss on nature/extent of job. Crews have poor English skills. Crew bosses work instead of supervising others. Field Operations Manager never visited jobsite daily, and came only for complaints or to ask for payments. Siding crew good, roofers fair, but carpentry crew only fair to poor. Many corners were cut and major structural damage would have been covered over or not repaired if I had not been home at all times to observe. Carpenters did not have/use proper tools & consistently did not have needed materials with them. Deck was built out of square with the house because they laid it out without measuring first! Would have installed decking boards without spaces had I not gone online to Trex website & printed out installation instructions! Very sloppy, left spackling spatters all over. Left mounds of debris outdoors 2 weeks before removal. Left much unfinished for under staffed follow-up.

Whatever task we ask him to do, it is always completed on time in a professional manner. We feel very lucky when we are able to hire his company to do various tasks for us.
