  • After many years, I am leaving this provider due to insurance issues. And, it's a good thing. I don't know why I stayed; inertia I guess. To start, the manner in which I came to the practice was a bit irksome. I was seeing another physician who "sold" her practice to this provider.  I received, many years ago, a letter stating this and that my records had been transferred to this new provider--if I recall correctly. That struck me as a bit odd--having my records moved without my consent, but the new doctor seemed nice, so I went along for the ride.  In the ensuing years, I had many issues with this provider but I always stayed because so many people love it; I thought it was just me. To start, in my opinion, the exams were extremely painful. When I mentioned that, I was told that it was due to menopause and that I should expect it and that it "will get worse" which is probably true but maybe not what I needed to hear. I also encountered long waits to see the doctor. In my opinion, this lack of empathy and understanding was odd, since this doctor is an obstetrician, not a gynecologist. Also, many years ago, I had a procedure performed in the office that was agonizing, and I wonder if it should have been performed in an outpatient surgical suite. Again, this is just my opinion and I guess that one could always say I am too pain sensitive. However the procedure took about 20 minutes of intense pain, and I can't imagine that is what is supposed to happen.  Also, I was sometimes billed for procedures not performed, although this was always adjusted. Also, it was not possible to schedule all necessary procedures in one visit, and I would get billed for multiple visits and multiple procedures, even after I explained that I had super high deductible health insurance and was paying for this out of pocket. I was also encouraged to see the nurse practitioner which was fine, but my insurance paid a lower % for her services than the doctor's, so I was billed more for less expertise. Also, my daughter's visits for medication checks were stretched out to take way more time than necessary and, in my opinion, billed as the codes that would garner more money from the insurance company. I also received a letter stating that I had a condition which was absolutely not true. Someone checked the wrong  box and sent me a letter-- no phone call, just a letter. The doctor apologized. When I went to a new oby-gyn, she said, in her opinion, that this doctor was performing unnecessary procedures and tests on both me and my daughter. Interesting. Now, I am having difficulty getting my medical records for my new provider. I have called, and so has the new doctor, for about three weeks. Just today, I received a letter stating that they needed a check for 53.00 to cover the cost of copying and mailing. which, technically, is within their rights. But, again, no call, just a letter and no offer to help (e.g. send just recent records electronically). In my opinion, it feels like everyone is on autopilot which no real commitment or thoughtfulness.

  • He is a very good general internist. I think he is a cardiologist, too but he also branched out into integrated medicine so he really combines that whole aspect which he really embraces in terms of your whole health. I really like that approach. He stuff and I'm very confident of that he knows. He's not very tolerating of people who won't listen to what he's trying to tell you. I went to him and talked about my health and he said, "I can work out a regimen of food and some other things that you should do in my opinion and if you don't want to embrace it, then you're better off with somebody else." Personally, I like that. I'd rather not mince words or deal with compliments over cordiality any day. I think his recommendations are god and he really knows his stuff.

  • They treat me like a chick. I have no complains about them. They take care of me. They do everything. Everybody is good there and they can?t please you enough. If in case you have to wait, they will be on their toes and keep apologizing up and down. I would use them.
