    They rip people off for the many services once the warranty is off.  Their price for tires and replacement and everything is ridiculous.  Oil changes, they want $500 to rotate tires and change oil.  Customer service and everything I would give them a D.  They couldn't be bothered the last time we were there so we turned around and went some place else and turned the car in.  They tell you it takes 15 to 30 minutes to wait and everything and we waited two hours a couple of times we were there.  That's why we turned around and went to Kia and leased two cars the same day.  When they want $500 to change the oil and rotate the tires it's ridiculous.

    I looked extensively at Mazda 3s and Mazda 6s before ultimately deciding to buy a Honda Accord. I got to know the Mazda Orange, North Country, and Cooley Motors. I was particularly flummoxed by the practice at North Country and Orange of not installing the caps that cover the center holes on the wheels. At both these two dealerships, the caps were not installed (100% missing at North Country, about 40% missing at Orange). The exposed wheel centers led to serious corrosion on some of the vehicles--not the kind of superficial rust that wipes off the disk brakes in use, but rust that you would not be able to get off with a solvent, and which had eaten into the surface of the metal. I even saw this on the show room floor at Orange.
    I took some pictures and uploaded them to the customer service web site of Mazda North America and whether any action has been taken I don't know. But if Orange and North Country are still selling cars that are rusting on the lot it's not because Mazda North America hasn't been told of the problem. I did examine all the Mazda 3s and 6s on the lot but I must say that I didn't take pictures of all of them, I just wanted to upload a few to a car discussion site and ask the forum members whether it was normal.
    But I do know that this rust problem was not evident at Cooley. The inventory was immaculate. Furthermore they were very nice about letting me go out on a test drive with my son without having a salesman come along (I didn't request it, they just handed me the keys). I don't know whether they pick and choose which customers they will do that for or what.
    In any case I was very favorably impressed with Cooley's operation and of the three dealerships I've mentioned they're the ones I would buy from if I bought a Mazda in the Capital District. My ultimate decision to buy a Honda Accord was based on variety of design options with the various cars and had nothing to do with my impression of the dealers. I have seen a number of reviews of Cooley on google and similar sites some of which were none too favorable, but based on the three times I went there I will say it gave me the impression of a courteous and professionally run shop.
    The other two struck me as, well, lame. If a dealer can't take care of its own inventory when it is brand new, I question whether it will take good car when it belongs to a customer. So, insofar as repeated visits to several dealerships in the process of car buying can form the basis for an opinion, I would recommend Cooley. I think it is important to put that word out because of the three Mazda dealers in the Capital District, Cooley is the most out of the way. But I think it is worth the extra ten or fifteen minutes to go check them out.

    Interestingly, we found that it wasn't time for the oil change we thought we needed, because the synthetic oil lasts so much longer than ordinary oil. We'll go back at another time for the oil change, or perhaps get it somewhere closer to home when the need arises. An amusing aspect to the visit was our difficulty finding our car again after everything was complete. Apparently, the service department was either finishing up with the new tire or perhaps giving the car a wash, which seems to go with any service.

    My husband I were looking for a reasonably priced used car for our college age daughter after viewing hundreds of cars online we found one on the jefferson motors website. My husband and daughter went and looked at it and thought it was a very good looking 2001 honda civic, great condition and lower mileage for its age. After talking to Pete there we found out that the car had been marked down from its original price and the transmission had been replaced because Pete felt it wasn't driving properly. We decided to purchase the car and asked Pete to replace the timing belt and water pump since it was over 100,000 miles. He gave us the price of 250.00 which we felt was very reasonable. He even agreed to replace a broken honda hub cap because my daughter didn't like that it had a break in it. We have had the car for a while and it is running beautifully and we feel we got a very fair deal. Pete and the staff at Jefferson Motors were very accommodating and gave us a good deal.

    Outstanding. Salesperson Vinnie was great to work with. We got the deal we were hoping for. It was the quickest and easiest car buying experience we have ever had. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

    When my daughter brought the car back from college it was making an awful racket (why didn't she notice this!). I feared the worst with this 13 year old car since a big bill may mean the end of its useful life. I didn't hesitate since I used Capitaland before and brought it over. The service manager was very communicative. I think we talked 3 or 4 times through the day. He was matter of fact and warned me that when replacing the bearing he may find there is something else wrong but their wasn't. I like his conservative approach. He doesn't over-promise. In the end the problem was solved and the car drives very nice. He even apologized for the slight turn in the steering wheel but when I got the car I found the wheel was even straighter than after another shop did an alignment.
    Capitaland is great for Subaru work!

    They have good hours, usually it's hard to find a time to bring your car in but they have Saturday hours so I appreciate that. They were pleasant and my care was ready on time. I thought they were good, but being a dealer they were expensive. All of the dealers charge more than a garage around the corner. They answered my questions, it's a pleasant place to be there. They have cats there.

    We went to the dealership interested in the new Pilot. The salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable. There was a promotion on with a significant discount. We signed up Friday and took delivery on Monday with some add-ons installed. The salesman and staff were very helpful, and accommodated some complications due to our requirement that the car be registered in Florida.

    The representative that helped me had very good customer service skills and called me right away when the car that I wanted came in. I also think that they have an excellent service department as well.

    The sales experience was okay. I was not very impressed with the way that they handled some aspects of my business. I asked them to order something special and they said two months later that it was not available. That upset me. Besides that, I think it was a satisfactory experience, but nothing to brag about.
