Warm & Fuzzy Home Heating & Cooling
They're in the area here and they were quite good. They did a good job on the installation. They also put a flue inside the chimney. They had to do a little bit of work on that to get that at the right angle and did a pretty good job with that, so I was very happy with them. The price was good and they actually made a mistake when they quoted me. So you can either get stainless steel on that flue that goes up the chimney, or you can just get regular metal. Stainless steel lasts a lot longer, so when he was quoting me the price, he said it would include stainless steel. When they came to do the job, they had the other kind of metal and it became apparent that when he quoted me, he made a mistake when he quoted me. He quoted me the price that should have been with the regular metal, but I specifically said it was stainless. But they honored what committed to, so they changed it and they put in the stainless steel for the price of the regular metal, which was probably about an $800 difference. So I was quite happy with them. They were very responsive. For punctuality, they were great; they showed when they said they were gonna be showing up and they stayed till the job was done. They cleaned up after themselves really good.

A tree fell on my home and punctured the roof in several places. I called Dalex to get an estimation. We scheduled the appointment for the following day.Dmitry called to make the appointment a half an hour later. No problem. He arrived 5 minutes early, but still he was very unprofessional from the start. He arrived 5 min before I did and had finished looking both inside and outside of my home in those 5 minutes. He gave me a blank, weird look as we walked and spoke. I had to ask him repeatedly if he wanted to see the work that needed to be done. He hesitated each time, then looked at it. When he looked at my house, he made comments which led me to believe he did not want the job. He asked me how could he write an estimate, if he did not know weather he would need to replace 5 or 6 rafters He also stated that if he needed 15 or more boards to cover the roof, he would not know until he began the work. I explained to him that if I had no estimate, how would I be able to hire him for the job. How could someone begin working on my property without a hint of what the job would cost. Obviously, unforeseen conditions can always arise; however, how can any profession expect to get hired without an estimate of the costs? In short, according to Dimitry, Dalax refused to give me an estimate. He said he would be writing an guesstimate. I was confused, I asked him to explain. Mainly, because an estimate is an approximation based on the professionals judgment of the value. He never explained.

    Fireplace Outlet
We ordered the fireplace on 11/24/15 (cash and carry) and were told it would be delivered within a week.  It ended up taking three weeks and they failed to communicate to us that the item was on backorder.  Had we known this, we would have ordered from someone else.  As a result of the delay, we were not able to have the fireplace installed before Christmas.  By the time the thing came in, our contractor was gone for the holidays.
It gets better:  at the time of the order, we were told the fireplace comes packed in a box that is small enough for one person to manage on their own and fit into a small SUV.  HA!   I arrived in my small SUV, only to find the thing weighed close to 300 lbs and was attached to a large crate skid.  Luckily, we own a pick up truck, but still had to make an extra trip to go get the larger vehicle (20 miles each way).
Another thing we weren't told until after we paid for our order is that there is a 25% restocking fee if for some reason we need to return it.  Sure hope it fits when we finally get it installed, otherwise we are out $650 !!!
The owners of fireplace outlet didn't offer anything to make up for our trouble.  As a result, we will never deal with them again and will advise others against it!

I called because the roof needed to be fixed as shingles were coming off.? Also, the gutters were sloped forward and leaking, causing them to not direct water properly into the downspout which caused overflow of water close to the foundation.? They did the roof, but the tenants said they felt the whole house shaking and immediately after, water started leaking into the basement.? Ron Seffans blamed it on us having a wrong sized elbow tube under the sink.? We didn't know why because it fit before they came, and we didn't know the damage was behind the wall because I had to call a plumber and he had to remove the drywall behind the bathroom sink, which exposed a pvc pipe completely sheared (broken) in half.? I had to pay plumber $350.00? I called Ron and explained what the plumber found and he refused to take any responsibility for the damage.? He was yelling at me over the phone.? Very childish. He even hung up on me.? Completely unprofessional.? He refused to return my calls.? I think it happened when they were installing a boot over a pipe protruding from the roof directly above the bathroom and that was what all the violent shaking was about.? Also, he completely ignored the gutter problem and I ended up having to call Fidler roofing to replace all the gutters for $400 and make sure they were level and draining properly.? He did another roof a few years earlier in a rental property I had, which there were not issues.? However, their unprofessionalism comes out when problems come up!?? So between the plumber and having to call a different roofer to take care of the gutter problem, I had to fork out another $750 to get all the work done that I really needed.

    Fiddler Roofing Inc
They were hard to reach in June a few weeks ago. Eventually I sent a message via Angies List and mentioned the coupon. Mr Petrozzi came up to do the inspection himself immediately on June 25th. He had a very professional thorough attitude. Explained in detail what had to be done, what options were there.
We talked about my contacting him as soon as I had financing available to start work (sometime in July).
However I have been trying to call them, left voice messages and then this morning I sent a message via Angie's List. I needed them to start work this month and finish it before August 4th. They have not responded at all,
I will be forced to find another roofer and start the whole process all over again. This is really disappointing since I was ok with their estimate and ready to move forward with them.

Black Hat Chimney & Fireplace were very good. We didn't have that big of a wall to put the fireplace on, but it turned out the model we liked was big for our space. Most people told us it wouldn't fit, but Black Hat worked it out nicely. They're good at kind of designing where it goes and everything. That's above and beyond just selling a fireplace and putting it in.

The crew arrived at 7:20 a.m., and began work at 7:30 a.m.  The crew was completely professional.  They were gentlemen - no loud music, no profanity.  These were young men any mother would be proud to call son.  They cleaned as they worked.  By the time their day ended eight hours later and our new roof was complete, you would never know we had had a roof installed.  Our yard was left in pristine condition.  We recommend them without reservation.

    NWL Construction Inc
Took about a day and a half total on job. Faster than the several days it took the previous company 15 years ago. Lower marks were due to a slight delay in the original back and back forth and I hate to give anyone a perfect grade on just one contract. Job was overseen by NWL Construction of Niagara Falls, NY Kept place reasonably clean while working. Roof vents were a change order. Sal promised and he delivered. Others didn't even call back - do they have too much to do? Other estimates were 1000-2000+ higher.

This is a stone chimney that was leaking water all the way to the ground. One week after estimate and proposal, they began the work. These guys did an impressive job. They not only did all they said they would, but did extra work by pointing other areas of stonework on front of house. Theye were very prompt, very neat, and very professional. Excellent workmanship. They finished the job in 2 1/2 days. Would definitely call them again. (No more water leak! )

I could not imagine a better experience from any contractor. The owners are personable, regular guys that explained clearly what had to be done and did it extremely well. The time frame was exactly what they told us it would be and they were able to juggle a few things so that my chimney repairs could be done just prior to a new roof being installed. Because they were ahead of the roof work, they left the flashing for the roofers to button up and explained to me exactly how it should be done and what to look for. He offered to come back to inspect after the roof was done (and fix if necessary) but that was not necessary. His crew spent a few long days on a hot roof but were also some of the nicest guys.

Since I have an older brick house, matching the chimney was difficult but he gave me a few places to check and when I found a good match I simply told the yard that he would be by to pick them up, and he did - EASY.

The work was done just over a year ago and still looks awesome. The edges are crisp, the cap has a nice bow to deflect water, and the mortar was raked nearly flush (which he explained would help with shedding water). Looks good, no water penetration, no problems.

I would DEFINITELY use them for other brick and/or concrete work.
