Window Replacement reviews in Newburgh

  • I was very happy with the price and the work that was done to create the room. There were three estimates and this price was what I wanted to spend. I was pleased with the workers who came to complete the project, everyone was very friendly and answered any questions that I asked. A porta potty was placed outside so the workers did not have to come into the house, and it was great that I didn't have to be home when they were working downstairs. They entered and exited through the egress window. At the beginning of the project there were two mistakes made but as soon as I mentioned them to the contractor they were immediately corrected. They notified me through a phone call each day that they were coming and almost always were on time. I would definitely recommend this company,

  • They took out the old ones.  It is a great company, they are awesome. They were very professional, on point, and on time. I was very happy with them. We have a lot of windows. They are excellent, and I am going to be using them again.

  • Bill & James and their entire team were great from start to finish on our third story dormer project. We received bids from other contractors but none were as comprehensive and none used their creative approach to tackle our difficult project. They were the only contractor who figured out how to work within a finished home to install a 20' wide by 10'  high reverse gable dormer 38' above our living room (without a scaffold). Pretty amazing.
Quality of workmanship is 11 based on a scale of 1-10: James is a very talented (and happy) job foreman and master carpenter: You can tell he enjoys his work.
They showed up on time every morning and the entire team was pleasant and courteous throughout the entire project.
They left our house in the same condition four weeks later as when they first entered which is pretty amazing considering their creative (non scaffold) approach.
Their pricing was extremely competitive and Bill's add-on work invoice was also a pleasant surprise (as opposed to the opposite).
We are very glad we joined Angies List to find JD Griffin for our dormer project and give them an enthusiastic 100% recommendation. You really can't go wrong hiring these guys!
Photos available for anyone whio is interested is seeing the quality of workmanship.

  • I found Thomas Hazard to be honest and helpful to work with. I also found the personnel working for him to be cordial and pleasant to work with. Very positive experience. Meticulous and professional. Came in at budget, and in spite of some problems he had no control over (delivery delays), he finished the job on time. They sent a very hard working crew that even helped us when a tire went flat on one of the cars. His staff is very friendly  and they take the time to make sure the job is done right. I have already used TH Remodeling and Renovation for two other projects as a result of the performance on the roofing job, and I intend to use them again if the need arises. Definitely a qualified recommendation for this company. Any questions, you can contact me.

  • We have had water coming inside all 3 dormer windows in the front of our house during and after winter snow which we thought it due to the old roof since our windows were already replaced. After installing a new roof a year ago, we found that water was still getting in as snow melted. Contacted Perfect Exteriors and they assessed the issue was poor protection under the siding of these dormers. Ed Drake (owner) came to do the assessment and estimate. Work began a week later by two of his amazing workers, Dan & Shane, who were not only courteous and professional...but also meticulous to detail. I was home the two days that they worked on the outside of our house and noticed their attention to detail. Corners and joints were extremely precise and installed with great care. I could not have been more pleased with their work. I treated them both to lunch both days and found them to be genuinely nice guys. Our first snow storm on 11/26/14 here in the northeast came and went without so much as a drop of water getting inside. I would not only recommend them, but would also use them again.

  • Salesman was punctual and old school straight talking professional, explained the ins and outs of the business and recommended the options best suited for my replacement. Opened financing account on the optimistic thought that they would be contacted to replace all the windows in my home. Scheduled installation for two months in advance and was told I would be informed when the windows "came in". Two months went by and no communication for a about a week or two past. Took it upon myself to call and was informed by receptionist/office manager? That "Oh yeah, your windows are in" scheduled the install and subsequently had it cancelled due to a problem with the crews, rescheduled and had that cancelled again because "the truck broke down". Then was told that they didn't have enough installers and scheduled for two weeks later becaus they had no appointments open that I could make. When the installers came, crew was nice enough but trampled and destroyed two out of four ankle high bushes outside the window, they cleaned up and left and.as I was wiping the windows clean I noticed there were smudges on the inside of the window between the two panes!!!!!! When I called corporate about this I was told that it is a warranty issue and would be replaced but I would have to wait while they are fabricated, they could not take any responsibility for the install because it is a franchise operation and they don't dictate day to day operations regardless of the "Good Housekeeping seal of approval" and the fact that the franchise operates under the "good" name of Window World. Spoke to the point of contact listed and it was quite possibly the worst customer service call I had ever had. He immediately punted the window to the manufacturer and told me that they don't inspect the windows prior to install because he has a warehouse and almost 5200 windows in it,and that they come on a pallet. I would think if you are not fulfilling your obligations as a vendor you would make sure that everything from that point forward is flawless. I ended the conversation angry and upset and will never trust them or window world corporate again, I will be contacting good housekeeping to ask the. To review thier seal of approval.

  • The service was excellent.  One guy came to measure and then came back to installed the windows.  It took them two days to installed five windows.  I would say the service was excellent, the installer was a perfectionist and we love our PELLA 450 windows.

  • Pete had to replace the roof, gut the kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining room, family room, remove all the flooring and pull up all the old carpet. Spackle, and completely paint the whole inside. Replaced 2 doors and paint outer door and replace storm door. He put in new cabinets and reposition diswasher in the cabinet, plumbed the new sink, replaced facets. Install new hood vent. He installed pergo floor in the kitchen, hallway, dining room and living room. Pete was knowledge and thorough in his assessment and repairs. He deposed of all the trash, and donated old appliances when he could. He hauled out the old tub and toilet from upstairs was and completely replace the tub and shower unit, toilet and tile the bathroom floor. He reused the vanity as it still in good shape. He completed the job in two weeks and we paid in 3 installs. 1/3 to start the job, 1/3 half way and a last payment on the walk through. He called regularily with progress reports and questions about deposition of old appliances etc. He completed the job in the timeframe he stated and for the dollar amount he quoted. Pete and crew were awesome and I hightly recommend him. He's honest, trust worthy and extremely qualified and hard working.

  • We experienced a false start when the supplier gave us the wrong windows but Rocco kept us informed. He took his time, walked us through the process as it progressed and every day, he cleaned up the whole work area. We are thrilled with our like-new porch. What a difference it will make when we entertain out there. We also believe it will help us when, and if we ever go to sell our place when we retire. Rocco is meticulous, neat and a pleasure to have on your property.
