Remodeling Kitchen And Bath reviews in Newburgh

  • Daniel was very professional, he was prompt to his 2 appointments and his prices were more than fair. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Although we wont be able to do the work now, thru no fault of his, we are confident he will be doing work to our house very soon.

  • Stewart and Loren from Peak were professional, neat and finished on time and within budget. Thanks guys for a beautiful job well done! I will be hiring them for future work, and happily recommending them.

  • My husband and I hired Remodeling Concepts for two major jobs in our home and they will never be allowed to walk through our door again. Words cannot express how disappointed we are in the in the process that we endured as well as issues with the end result. We still need to find time to complete the bathroom finishes for the new bathroom we hired them to do and fix what they damaged, because we would rather have to do it ourselves than deal with them, more specifically the owner. A few years ago we hired this company to finish a space as a family room. The project was on budget but took approximately a month longer than it should have. There were issues with communication between us and the owner and he was not around the job much at all. Some of the finishing touches in paint and clean up were not done well and we took care of it ourselves, but overall we were happy with the outcome of the room. About a year ago we hired the company again because we knew them and had trust in them from being generally happy with the outcome of the family room, and also did so under the promise that any previous poor experience with communication and the owner not being around would not repeat itself. We even liked the owner, finding him personable and relatable. My husband made it very clear that we wanted the owner to be on site as much as possible, especially because so much of the job had workers in the main area of our home and it would be an intricate job to completely gut and recreate a bathroom, and the owner agreed to this. It was also important the job moved on schedule since we only have one other bathroom to use in our home. He assured us of how his employees would “work clean” and that he would be at our home regularly to check in and check the work. He even told us that he would be completing certain aspects of our project himself. When the demolition of the bathroom began his workers showed up without a fan to put in the bathroom window to pull dust out of the room and house and did not sufficiently tape off areas that could be affected by the dust that billowed from the room. To be clear, the workers were extremely nice gentleman who were polite and did their best but had clearly not been set up for success by their boss with the supplies or direction that were necessary. My living room drapes and all surfaces in my main living area were coated in significant dust (well beyond the amount of construction dust you would have to accept in a remodeling situation). The owner was nowhere around and my husband went to buy more tarps and tape, etc. to block off areas. We were not reimbursed for anything we bought to help the workers keep our home safer and cleaner. The reconstruction of our bathroom began well, for a couple weeks. The tile looked beautiful and we thought the job was moving along and looked great. Then it almost seemed to stop. We were not waiting on anything to arrive and did not understand. There was a massive amount of failed communication between us and the owner where he did not return our calls, where he had his secretary communicate with us, and where he did not come by the job site. We were reminded about the payment schedule and (stupidly) I paid each major installment in full and on time. When the owner finally showed up and walked through he literally told us he was surprised how little had been done. This was exactly the problem! He had no idea because he had not been around at all! He also admitted that he had put a worker on the job that he knew was not a great worker in the way of staying on a schedule and getting things done, but even then he was surprised how little was done. So let me get this straight- you put a guy that you know is not a great worker and you wonder how long he’s actually at the job site and what he’s actually getting done while he’s there, and you send him alone and don’t even check up on the work. Oh and he also said he knew he was not the cleanest worker. This last part was an understatement by the way because each day he had been in my house I came home to have to scrub what was obviously stool that had been sprayed and streaked inside and on top of the seat of the one toilet we had to use during this project. In addition, saw cuts were done inside our garage and covered everything stored in there (my husband’s tools and toolboxes, snowblower, etc) with thick wood and fiber dust. The little things damaged (i.e. scratches and gauges to our walls) were obvious. Certain items that were done had to be redone because they had not been completed as per our specifications and conversations with the owner, who clearly did not communicate these things with the worker(s). The owner told us he would be on site “more” to see us through the end of the project, but never was. From then on the only time he offered to come by the house was to pick up a check. We could not be more disappointed in the way he conducted himself and that our project was not and we were not (because you personalize things when it’s your home) taken care of. He literally failed to do what he said he would do and that we paid him good money for and didn’t seem to care about trying to make any of it right and didn’t seem to understand what he did wrong in any of this. By the “end” of our project, the glass shelving was not done in the shower niche, spots of paint were missing but there are paint dots on my tub that will not come off without destroying the finish (that came off of someone sloppily rolling the paint without covering the tub to protect it), the pocket door and door jam are not correct, where there had been shoddy or missing grout between tiles it is badly caked and messy looking (like they just had to throw some more on there as a quick fix), the vanity is not sealed to the wall, and the shower step was not sealed which made it leak water through the downstairs ceiling several times until we found where all the unsealed parts were to fix it ourselves. New cracks and holes have opened up in between tile as it was never sealed or leveled correctly, though this was promised. The tub faucet does not work correctly. A pipe leading to our septic was damaged in tying in the new plumbing and they did not pay to have it fixed. We had to hire a company on our dime to fix the fact that gray water from our septic was leaking into our basement and causing further damage. The undue stress this has caused on me and my family alone is tremendous. I CANNOT express that enough. It seems this company is about demo and the beginning of a project, but they do not appear to be about finishing the project or doing so to the standard for which we paid. In our experience, the owner is apparently not about doing what he says he will or taking care of the customer. He showed us that we could not count on him to be on the site or in close contact, even when he placed a worker with a poor reputation in our home. For us, we lost hard earned money in this while work was left undone and damage was left behind. So disappointing.

  • More than happy with outcome. John and his employee arrived promptly on agreed start date and time, and every day thereafter. Today is scheduled to be last day of project - in total 5 days. The floor and bathtub tiling look great, photo pending finalization of grouting today. In addition he installed new bathroom door and closet door as well as much needed trim. Any services he may not provide, such as painting, he is armed with referral. Would definitely not only recommend, but also use again on future projects.

  • I hired AMV interiors & construction to do a demolition and renovation of my 1960's bathroom. Alex and his crew worked
hard and efficient, demonstrating a wide range of skills and knowledge. they were friendly and courteous and are a
great bunch of guys. They gave me a showroom quality bathroom and it was a pleasure to make their acquaintance.

  • After demolition he kept the place neat. Did an excellent job with the floor & wall tiles; installing shower doors, toilets, painting the bathroom walls. Andy gave me great suggestion and ideas that the bathrooms look beautiful. Not only he did a great job, he finished all work as scheduled. I will definitely use his service in the future.

  • It went great!
I was very nervous about doing the remodel since you hear the horror stories.  Well the team of Joe and Lauren came to do the remodel from Peak Construction. They were great. They answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. Both have lots of experience.  They even gave some recommendations that I liked better than my own.
They had to completely gut the bathroom. I removed a tub and put in a swan stone full shower. We had problems with wrong delivered parts,  damaged vanities and delayed deliveries. They worked with us with these problems and told us not to worry about it and in the end, we got our beautiful  bathroom. It is perfect, better than I had imagined.
They were neat and cleaned up everyday before leaving. Took about a week and 1/2.
And we even got entertained by Joe and Lauren! They are a funny team.
I highly recommend Peak Construction and would use them again.

  • We were very pleased with Steve Kuprych and his team from beginning to end. He listened to our conceptual ideas and made them a reality. The work began at the beginning of Feb. 2015 and ended at the beginning of March, 2015. There was only one day during that time that Steve didn't have a contractor or sub contractor working at our house. Considering all the ice and snow we had during that time, we were highly impressed. Workers were punctual each day and work areas were cleaned at the end of each day. The professionalism and workmanship of all involved in the project was top notch. We are so pleased with our new bathroom and will definitely call on Steve Kuprych for any future remodeling projects.

  • After he started working, and had dug up the basement floor and torn stuff down on the walls, I could see that he wasn't going to do it the way I thought was the best way. I discussed it with him, and decided that I was going to stop the work at that point and get someone more experienced with this type of job. I think he was very disappointed, and angry. I told him it was just a business decision, and that I was sorry though. I had already given him half the money, and he didnt' even do half the job. He asked for $800 more because he said he had already paid for this and that (the machine that digs the hole for the gravity drain.) I felt guilty and gave him the money, but soon when I had time to think about it, realized I'd been had! I tried to contact him after this (plus he never gave me a receipt ) he has never answered his phone or called back. I had to pay the guy who did the job full price and all the money I gave to Sergio was lost. Not professional. I ought to take him to small claims court, I'm seriously considering it. I liked him a lot, and I only write this now because he has not responded to my calls.

  • Very professional and trustworthy.  The A&E team kept me very well informed and they consulted me throughout the process.  They managed other contractors and made the process go smoothly.  The cabinets are gorgeous.  The design is very workable.  They removed a wall that opened up the space and provided room for more storage.
While I was ill during this renovation, the A&E team was able to keep the project going.  Without them, and others, I would not have been able to move into my new home.
    Thank you, A&E Cablnets!!
