    Caruso Paving and Seal Coating
Frank Carusso and his team, blacktopped my driveway about 20 years ago and did a great job then and today, free of charge, repaired the end of my driveway where the driveway had a few holes etc... He also extended the blacktop to my mailbox at no expense to me. I would reccommend Frand without hesitation.

    D & D Doors, Inc.
The moment I noticed that the door was off track, I went to angieslist to find a company nearby who might be able to help. After making a few calls, I spoke with Don of D & D Doors. He wasnt able to send someone that day, but one day later Wyatt arrived and within seconds knew exactly what was wrong, he had all needed parts and replaced the pulleys. He also oiled all rollers, hinges, pulleys, cables, checked tension, made needed minor adjustments, and cleaned and aligned the photo eyes. I was impressed and pleased with the thoroughness of this service, and at how quietly and smoothly my garage door is now operating,

    Joshua Paving Inc
Very Happy... here's why. In general, I am skeptical of pavers. I have had two other experiences with pavers and both were fairly bad. I wasn't sure what to expect with Joshua Paving. The reviews online were pretty good but his price was lower than others so I assumed they would skimp somewhere. In the end, the final outcome was great and I couldn't be happier. Jeff was the foreman on my project. Two other guys seemed to be the skilled labor who would spread out the material (one of their names was Alex). There were three other guys who drove the trucks and also brought the materials to where they needed to be dumped via wheelbarrow. They started around 10am and didn't finish until around 9pm. They all worked a hard long day. The guys looked a little rough around the edges but were professional, nice and respected my property. I took the day off work and got a chair and watched them work. The kept the pavement thick, even in the middle. They didn't play any games of thick on the edges and thin in the middle. They did have to come back the next morning to finish up a little near the road as they had run out of material and the plants were already closed. You can see the seam a little but it looks sturdy. Jeff promised a two year warranty. There were no surprises at the end when it was time to pay the bill the final price is what he quoted me. Jeff listened to my concerns and checked in with me a few times to make sure I was happy. I don't know if Joshua Paving has multiple crews or not, but I know that Jeff and his team did a great job. If I notice anything go wrong with the driveway over the next year, I'll make sure to come back and update my review. Overall, I am very happy and would recommend Joshua Paving. This job was a residential home driveway in New Paltz, NY completed in June 2018.

Casa Builders, Inc - Friedlander Construction
Our house is over 100 years old and has a stone foundation. On the uphill side of the house, water would come through the wall and run across the floor. Having worked with David Friedlander before on other work I called him up. He suggested digging out to the footings and waterproofing the outside of the foundation. When we dug out, we found that the outside of the foundation was loose and unmortared--sealing wouldn't work well. He suggested building a form around the foundation and pouring a new concrete wall around the existing foundation. It worked amazingly well. The basement is dry as a bone, and the foundation should be good for another hundred years at least! His crew is professional and hard-working. They worked through a snowstorm, and took great care of our place. Best of all, David and the rest of the business are easy to communicate with, clear on expectations and needs, transparent on costs, are able to be scheduled quickly, and work fast. They're great!

    Jansen Lawn Maintenance
I called on Nov 29 and left a message asking if they did snow plowing in my area and if so I'd like a quote. I called again on Dec 5 since no one returned my call. It is now Dec 10 and still no return call even though I asked them to call me back either way, (if they do or do not do plowing in my area). I obviously can't comment on their work but I thought their lack of returning calls should be noted.

It went great. I couldn't be happier. The quality of the work was outstanding and exceeded what I was imagining. From general discussion it was clear that they got what I was looking for, and the results were even better than I expected. The workmanship was great, and the quality of materials they chose were perfect for what I wanted. It was way quicker than I expected--the whole process from first finding them to the closeout walk-through was under a month. This was my first major renovation project, and I've always heard tales of them dragging on forever, but this was the exact opposite. They handled the permits and inspections, which was critical to me. Emily in the office kept things moving. The materials they selected were good quality--no issues there. Changes that came up throughout the project were handled quickly and didn't impact the overall timing. For example, after they'd opened up the ceiling, put in collar ties, and removed the joists, my gut was that the roof structure wasn't strong enough without the old joists. The engineer had designed it and speced it, but my gut said it needed more (I'm no engineer or builder, so it was nothing more than a feeling). After a quick discussion and consult with the engineer, they doubled up all the collar ties AND added a cable/turnbuckle across the widest span to keep the walls plumb under any conceivable load. It was done in a matter of days without impacting the schedule. We both agreed that the cable was more to help me sleep than to keep the roof on, but I really appreciated it. Minor details like updating the 3-way light switches to meet code, or installing a shutter-fan were handled well. In short, the whole renovation was smooth and fast.

    EverReady Paving & Sealcoating
Josh and his company did an outstanding job. From the minute I asked for a quote, to the contract and installation was less than 10 days. His pricing was fair and and the quality of work was excellent. There was no mess, they took care to clean up and make the area look great. Everything was completed on-time or before promised. I would highly recommend this company for new driveway installations.

    Baker & Sons Landscaping
The landscaper we used (and loved) for years got out of the plowing business and transferred his clients to Baker and Sons. Our stone driveway had just been redone last summer (for $950). Baker's plows arrived many hours after the snow, even requiring several calls on our part over 24 hours after a storm because we couldn't get to work. They plowed quickly and sloppily, leaving big piles of stone on our lawn and at the end of the driveway, and having scraped new potholes. When we called to report the damage, the owner promised to send a crew to fix it but they never came. We called every week for about 10 weeks, but they never returned our calls and never did the work. We couldn't even cut the grass until my own son worked for several hours to fix the damage. Would never recommend them to anyone else. Horrible experience.

Professionally handled from the time I called to get an estimate to when the job was finished. Frank, the owner, is courteous and knowledgeable and was able to suggest solutions to homeowner's problems without breaking the bank. Although their main focus is laying asphalt driveways, they did a great job with our gravel driveway.
