    The construction team at Major Homes, and Budd in particular, were a terrific choice for our contractor needs.  Budd, as the project manager, was always super responsive (via calls, text, or in person).  I cannot speak for the other project managers at Major Homes, but Budd was always there to answer the big and small/nagging questions and/or issues and I would fully and strongly recommend Budd for any major (forgive the pun) projects you may be contemplating.  His building/deck team was great.  His roofing guy was great.  His electric guy (Mike) was great.  His siding/outside guy (Panos) was great.  His painter (Rich) was great.  We really liked the professionalism, work quality, and responsiveness of the entire team.  A few additional thoughts.

    Quality: The work looks and feels top notch.  We've had a ton of compliments on the work.  And any small thing that might have seemed out of place, was addressed by Budd and team within days.  We know that the structure Budd helped to build will be going strong after decades and decades.

    Professionalism: We thought all the people were nice, prompt, and very courteous during the entire process.  We know we asked for some one-off things or small details at times, and the team was very helpful in addressing all of our needs.  We definitely want to thank everyone on Budd's team for being so wonderful and accommodating.

    Overall: Budd and Major Homes are an amazing choice for general contracting work.  I should point out that Budd is in control of all aspects of the process from the initial sale, to project management, to being your contact on the build, to doing some of the work, and since he knows and controls all aspects of the construction, he will be there for you from start to finish.  We have had experiences with 3 other general contractors in the past, and none have come close to the great experience we have had with Budd and Major Homes.  Thank you again to Major Homes, and I can only hope that others have the chance to experience a first rate experience like we did.

    They were very pleasant to work with. The men that were in the house were gentlemen. The manager was lovely. It was a compromise. It was very good. It stayed within the reasonable price they had given. It remained a good bargain. I would recommend them.

    Scheduled an appointment for later in the week.  Ended up cancelling because I decided to take the day off from work and ended up just fixing everything myself.  Called and thanked Jim and advised that I will definitely be calling them in a few months when I end up changing all my doors and need a new set up.

    We have had Pella do two jobs for us.  First one was to replace our living room bay window, and the second one was to replace our external doors.  Both times the salesman and the crew that came in to do the work were professional, polite and punctual.  The workmen did a tremendous job of installing all products, making sure everything was to our satisfaction.  They made sure after work was finished that work area was probably cleaner than when they arrived.

    Went to showroom and picked out new front door with sidelights and new bay window with my GC. Royal sent their contractor out to take measurements. Couple weeks later windows are installed and I realize the framing that separates picture window and decorative window at exactly at eye level. So now when I stand in my living room i can't see out of my 6 foot, $5k window. Called the company twice and could not even get a call back. At a very minimum someone there should have noted that the window height could be an issue. Only reason I have a D is because door and window themselves came out great looking. Extremely poor customer service. Would not recommend to anyone.

    Started off good with a good estimate meeting in early Dec 12' with the salesperson. Agreed on the job and price based on set of assumptions. After almost 3 months, I was finally able to GET them to schedule the job. I completely understand that following Hurricane Sandy that Allure was backed up and busy but they clearly dropped the ball on customer service. Many times, all it took was a call back (not days of chasing).
    Finally, I get the job scheduled and after a few back and forths with the foreman, they start the job. I was told that the salesperson we met with would arrive on start date to explain the job to the foreman and crew. The salesperson did not show. The foreman was there for about 5-10 mins and then left the crew. What?
    The entire job was subcontracted out. General demo/contracting, drywall team, mason. They say they are all and quot;Allureand quot; employees but they were not. Perhaps it was luck of the draw with Sandy and overbooking, but they should have not accepted my job then.
    The insulation was a complete subcontract job. I could have called the company (based on long island) myself and saved whatever up charge Allure made. I thought I was getting Allure here.
    The foreman was terrible. I ended up completely managing the job (not complicated) and had to watch them. They made mistakes along the way and tried to take short cuts. Example. We agreed to a 4' window. Apparently Allure did not have a 4' window in stock, so they try and switch it to a 3' window to keep the job on schedule but did not tell me. Mason comes (foreman not there) and cuts the hole which I complain after seeing it. I complain and they come back to fix it. However, the mason tried to take the easy way out and use the same Lint plate (metal bar that sits above the window header to support the bricks above), but clearly too small. Luckily I could tell and made them come back to fix it.
    The entire job was riddled with disappointment. Ultimately, they came back to fix the problems but when you hire a big company like Allure you expect professional service the first time. I could have easily hired all sub-contractors myself and likely would have been able to do it just as good (if not better) for 1/2 the cost.
    Perhaps they give better service to the big jobs (and gt;$100,000), but my experience was not good.
    It's a shame since our next project was 2 bathrooms and complete kitchen.

    I called their office for an estimate appointment, they called me back the same day, and arranged the following day to be at my home for a pricing meeting..I found  their Sales representative Billy to be very knowledgable, who told me he has been with the company over 30 years..we established the work needed to be done, and agreed on the price...I received a phone call from his office  by that afternoon confirming that the workers would be at my home the next 8:00am his crew was there, and working...the work was finished in a timely manner. What surprised me once again was the fact the crew left my home spotless, and took away all debris. I have recommended Brothers to quite a few of my neighbors, and friends, and they in turn had the same comments about them.

    Very well! First off, Bill Jr is wonderful to work with. Initially he took the time to sit down with my wife and I in his store and walked through the job. He also was very helpful in working with our insurance company to get the most back from a claim (hail storm). He is an excellent sales man and fair. The project itself was managed by Anna who is very responsive and was helpful in designing our job and selecting our products. Each project was managed by different crews and took a lot of coordination. The job timetable did not workout exactly how it was explained but gone done in a reasonable amount of time. There were a number of back and forths and the roof demo was overly messy, but they came back and cleaned up promptly the next day after following up with them.
    The only other complaint was they removed the wood under the sofit without consultation (although rotted) and cost $1,500 more to replace with new. I wish that possibility was discussed up front.
    So far no issues with any of the installs (no roof leaks, doors and windows work well, etc.). The cost of the job was ok but realize they have to make money too. Like with any job of this size, it's a little stressful and takes time to manage the contractor, but overall they did a fantastic job and was happy to find that the final job was what I expected.
    It is not too often that you get what you should expect in home improvement jobs.
    I would highly recommend, Bill and his team to anyone.
