    Jerry's Auto & Towing

Called Tuesday as a new customer. Spoke to Kenny - very nice.   Brought it in the next day at 8AM.  Kenny behind the desk.  Several phone calls during the day to keep me informed and approve work. Dealt with Robert.  Done the same day.  Easy pick up.  Car runs/handles way better.

The owner of this gas station is a nasty and completely inappropriate person. Although the gas station attendants are nice, after my interaction with the owner today I will not only take my business elsewhere but I will make sure that everyone I know will follows suit. I had been getting gas at this "full service" station 1-2 times weekly for the last 10 years. Today the "check tire pressure light" came on in my car. I asked the gas attendant to help me check the pressure before I commute into the city. The attendant was able to check but said the boss does not allow him to use the air to refill the tires. When I asked the boss, he was nasty at baseline and hesitantly sent over a worker to assist me. When the worker was done- which was all of 2-3 minutes of his time tops, before I could even reach into my wallet, the boss got in my face, said I should have "tipped"his worker which I had every intention of doing. He literally screamed at me less than 2 feet from my face, called me cheap and made a comment about how I get my nails done but was too cheap to tip someone that helped me. Had I been a man, this a** would have never spoken to me like that.

    Nissan of Garden City
I own a Nissan so I prefer to go to a Nissan service center and they are the closest one to me. The customer service is really wonderful. The waiting area was comfortable. The pricing was a little bit higher.

The sunroof had been damaged and they replaced it.  I chose to go to the dealer, as it was a Saturday afternoon and I needed somewhere that would store the car indoors.  They dealt with my insurance company directly.  The only problem I did have was getting an answer of when my car would be ready.   They were not exacat about when the part would come in and I had to call several times to finally get an answer.

    J & T Discount Tire Ctr
I have been very happy with them. They are efficient. They usually get my car back to me within the promised time. They are knowledgeable. I bring my car in, they call me with an estimate and they have been right on target.

    Firestone Complete Auto Care Store
I looked them up on Angies List and they are awesome. My Saturn dealer is gone so I was looking for someone to take care of my car. I went to a mechanic that the dealership recommended but I didnt get warm fuzzies so I kept looking. The people at Firestone are so nice; they look until they find what is wrong, they dont charge an arm and a leg, and they dont tell you that you need work done if nothing needs to be done. The quality is outstanding, they are very responsive, and they are done when they say they will be. I will definitely use them again.

My service engine light had been on for over a year, and I knew I likely needed oxygen sensors (based on what other auto folks had said), but they were all quoting me with either a very vague estimate, or one that seemed incredibly high. Some were saying they needed the car all day, would have to charge for diagnosis, etc. I just wanted someone who would be straightforward with me and not rip me off. Rocko's service was fantastic. First of all, he did the diagnostic for free and explained everything in detail. I felt he was being honest. Then, he was able to get the required parts brought over by courier within the hour, so I did not have to come back another day. His price was reasonable and lower than I'd heard otherwise. The entire job took about 3 hours of my time, and with it, a huge weight off my shoulders. He even replaced my interior light for free!

    Garden City Mazda
Garden City Mazda, in my opinion was unable to properly diagnose and repair the problems my Mazda Tribute was having. Frank, the service manager had me do repairs that were unnecessary. They misdiagnosed the problems and then refused to stand behind their repairs. Paul, the General Manager, unreasonably backed up his service manager when told of Frank's failure to do the repairs needed to pass inspection. I had originally come from my own mechanic, when he could not get my Mazda Tribute to pass inspection. My mechanic did not have the proprietary software to allow his computer to detail specifically what the codes were, that were coming up. I had no engine light that was coming on, but it would not pass inspection. My mechanic told me to take it to Mazda to get the computer flashed (reprogramed). Garden City Mazda required that I pay for a complete diagnostic service for $141. They then told me that my Mazda needed repairs that it actually never needed. They still did the work and the car still did not pass inspection (after driving it to reset the computer). When I called Frank at Mazda, he flatly refused to do anything to help me. He told me to go elsewhere. My original mechanic, who had also spoken to Frank, could not believe the line Frank was giving me. Mazda even misdiagnosed a cause of a hissing noise that was identified behind the brake pedal. It was actually a faulty vacuum brake booster, but was diagnosed as a faulty PCV hose that actually was located in a completely different place in the car. I contacted the Department of Motor Vehicles, Division of Vehicle Safety, and they did an investigation, after I submitted all the paperwork they needed. i also had the car inspected again at another Mazda repair shop, and they did the right thing for me. It turned out that I really needed a new computer (under warranty), and the hissing noise was repaired by the installation of a new vacuum brake booster. After driving the car to reset the computer codes my Tribute passed inspection. The DMV, Division of Vehicle Safety managed to get Garden City Mazda to refund the money I had paid them for the unnecessary repairs.

The service is good here. They have a nice waiting room. The manager still takes the time to check the work and make sure it is done to my satisfaction. This is a chain store nd they uphold their good reputation by providing excellent service.
