Boarding reviews in New City

  • We were a bit nervous to board our 1 1/2 year old standard poodle when we went on vacation. While away I e-mailed to see how she was doing. I was pleasantly surprised that the owner himself e-mailed me a detailed note that went a long away to ensure me that she was doing well. When I picked her up after the vacation, she was thrilled to see me and looked in perfect condition.
It is difficult to leave your pet in the care of someone else, but I would not hesitate to bring her here again. The owner and staff seem to really care. FYI- I met a woman in the office who has been bringing her dogs to Bihari for 20 years.

  • I have used all of the Camp Bow Wows in my area. The standards and quality of care are uniformly reliable which is very important to me. I know that my dog is safe, understood, well cared for and that she will come home happy and tired. The dogs are out and playing and socializing all day- not crated. I went away for two weeks this last time and left my dog with Roman and his team in Elmwood Park. I know I missed her, but I don't think that she even noticed that I was gone! Whenever I look on the Nanny cam, I see her lounging on the play equipment and the other dogs playing around her. Every one of his workers loves dogs and they take excellent care of their campers. I have recommended Camp Bob Wow to every dog owner ( with a non aggressive dog!) that I meet. The Camp Bow Wow system is straightforward. It is almost run on a pre school basis- dogs are separated into three groups, instead of by age, it is by size. All dogs are screened prior to their first stay to insure that there is not an aggression issue. For half a day the dog is at Camp Bow Wow and is observed at play with the other dogs. After this simple screening test your dog is able to stay at any Camp Bow Wow, which makes it very convenient. Roman's Camp is right off of Rt 80. Whenever I am going to Newark Airport or south Jersey or to Pennsylvania I just drop my dog off on the way. it's perfect. The dogs play all day in their fenced off group areas which offer and indoor and outdoor exercise options. The crates are called camper cabins and are very big. Each dog also gets a cot. I bring along a bed for my dog as well because she is getting older. I can't think of any reason why I wouldn't use Camp Bow Wow. It's a really good concept and very helpful for me because I really wouldn't put my dog in a regular kennel where she would be created for most of the day.
