    Michael Rothstein, DDS
Dr. Rothstein is the best dentist i've ever seen, and I'm 83. Same for my husband, who's almost 85. He explains everything clearly, He's conscientious, and so is his excellent, thorough, hygienist, and finds problems before they become painful or serious, and he shows you on the screen, before and after. I have friends who live in Rockland County but were going into NYC for a "Park Avenue Dentist." I persuaded them to go to Dr. R and after their first visits, they made the switch, saving them a lot of unnecessary trips tothe City. "He's the most thorough and conscientious dentist we've ever found," they said. I said, "I told you so!" Go once, you'll see what I mean. The reception people are very nice. Everyone is nice. Most important, you'll know your teeth couldn't get better care. I can't give cost as we've been going for many years, so it varies. There are probably cheaper dentists in Rockland, but I'd save on something else.

    Michael Rothstein, DDS
Several cleaning appointments were scary, with a hygienist who was neither gentle nor methodical (the most recent was with a new hygienist who was better). After my first exam by Dr Rothstein, I was told I needed five new crowns, including all my front teeth, for an estimated $5250. This was after years of needing little or no work, and with no pain or other symptoms. I decided to get a second opinion. That dentist said I didn't need any crowns, just a couple of fillings. The general office experience at Dr Rothstein was poor -- long waits, being ignored at the front counter, lots of chatter and laughter among the staff while patients waited, and at lunchtime strong unappetizing food smells. My overall impression was of an office that was poorly managed and very unprofessional. I would recommend getting a second opinion on any significant work proposed by Dr Rothstein's office.

Pediatric and Adolescent Dentistry of Rockland
I knew I was on the right track with Dr. Fern as my pediatric dentist when my kids (age 4 and 7) would cheer when I said we had to go back to the dentist. While I knew Dr. Fern was warm and caring with her patients, I had no idea how incredible she really is until I took my seven year old son in for a tooth sealant procedure. He has a history of reflux and an easy gag reflex, but he has always done well at the dentist so I didn't anticipate any problems with getting his molars sealed. However, he had a lot of trouble with the specialized mouth piece required to keep teeth dry during treatment. Dr. Fern was simply amazing with him. She never lost her patience with him, empathized with his issues, and tried multiple tactics to make the experience more comfortable for him. From resizing the mouthpiece numerous times, to scenting her gloves and dental items with edible essential oils, (my son said the smell of her gloves made him nauseous) she worked with him trying different things to make him more comfortable for over 2 hours! She really went above and beyond to try to make it as good of an experience for him as possible.

I don't want my children fear medical care, and I was truly impressed with Dr. Fern's treatment of my son. I have never seen this kind of attention and care at any practice, dental or otherwise. It is a rare thing to find a doctor that this willing to take extra time with patients having difficulty with treatment, and to retain their patience throughout the ordeal. I was already a fan of Dr. Fern, but after that visit I am even more profoundly grateful to have found her for my family. Best of all, my son left her office having had a positive experience, and is not scared or reluctant to go back to her office again. What more could a parent ask for?

Imagine this scenario: you tell your kids that they have a dental appointment, and their response is cheering and jumping up and down. Sounds too good to be true, but that's what happens in my house when I tell my 3.5 and 6.5 year old that we are going to the dentist. I found Dr. Fern after trying 2 other pediatric dentists that my kids and I did not like. my Dr. Fern is thorough, warm, extremely patient and caring, and my kids love her! Her office is new and very clean, with plenty of distractions to keep 1 child occupied while the other is being treated. Her assistant is great, too. We are never rushed through an appointment, which is crucial when dealing with young children. Of course their favorite part is that they leave her office laden with small prizes, stickers, new toothbrush kits, etc., but I'm just thrilled to know that they are receiving good dental care, and are not going to grow up fearing dental visits.

He has been my family's dentist for many years. I just like the way he does business. I like his professionalism and the way he operates. He is very friendly and very open. I don't particularly like the dentist but he made me feel very welcomed. He is always available. The office is clean and friendly. I know his office staff very well. He is always there. He communicates very well.

    Dobson, Dr. Paul M.
His office staff is very friendly and I am seldom kept waiting for more that a few minutes which I like. It is frustrating to arrive early for an appointment only to sit for 40 minutes. Dr. Dobson is very gentle and patient and works at a steady pace. He anticipates problems and prevents further issues. I will continue to see him.

    Rothstein, Dr. Michael
My husband and I had been with another dentist for about 20 years. Dr. Michael Rothstein came in and worked with previous dentist briefly before he set up his own offices. We each had a very positive impression of him and went with him. He has the latest equipment and has an excellent hygienist working with him. If you have an emergency, you'd be seen right away. Otherwise, you might wait a week or two to get in.

    Jon Kellner DDS
I have had considerable work done by Dr. Kellner over the years, from routine care to implants, fillings, and crowns. Everything has been done to my satisfaction and with care. When work is needed options are described and the advantages and disadvantages of each are presented, which has let me choose to do things when I can afford them. I am also given options for pain and anxiety management so even complex procedures are comfortable and stress-free. Dr. Kellner has been available to me for emergency treatment outside of office hours. Appointments are readily available and I am seen promptly when I arrive.
On my first visit to Dr. Kellner I was encouraged to purchase a Water Pik, which I did. I credit that advice with keeping me free of gum disease for many years. This is a good example of Dr. Kellner's professional wisdom and concern for his patient's care.
This particular visit was routine and pleasant. My teeth were cleaned and, as usual, no problems were found.

    Gold, Dr. Jeffrey
I have used him for years. I have no problem in getting a convenient appointment. I don't spend much time any time in the waiting room. They are very accommodating and the services are excellent. I travel from White Plains to New City for which I have to cross the bridge so that I can continue to use him as my dentist. The office is very clean and the equipment is very up to date. I have no problems with their billing and administration in terms of how it is handled but he is not cheap. I would absolutely use him again in the future.
