    VALUE PLUMBING & HEATING, Inc
It went very well. Mike was able to come right over. He knew what he was doing and fixed my problem efficiently. He was both friendly and professional. I would hire him again any time I need plumbing work done. He didn't try to "UPSELL' the job and just did what had to be done. Thanks Mike.

    NDA Kitchen & Construction Inc
After more than a year of extensive research, to plan our kitchen project, and reviewing numerous price quotes and evaluations of contractors we chose to go with NDA Kitchens. NDA had the very best of reviews and we liked the fact that they handled every aspect of the project. We were somewhat skeptical at first that they could go from a complete rip out to a complete renovation in 4 to 6 weeks after hearing stories about other contractors taking months to get such projects completed, but when they agreed to the performance terms in their contract with us we knew they were genuine. We received a complete and very detailed construction schedule - indicating that the job would run 20 days and the schedule showed every detail as to what would be accomplished and on what day. Each day a different crew showed up of 3 to 4 guys each specializing in one aspect of the job ( and they performed each aspect with expertise). Every day a project supervisor showed up in morning to ensure everything was understood by the crews and by us as to what would be accomplished for that day. And again every afternoon we saw the same project manager pop in to check on progress. Their coordination and project management and communication with us was outstanding. They even have one person in the office tasked with follow up and scheduling to ensure that you have someone to speak with even if the project manager isnt on site and she will make sure that any questions with regard to the project are answered promptly should you need to talk to someone. The Workmanship, the cleanup and the care with which they accomplished their tasks also was also exemplary. They are truly a cut above their competitors in every aspect of performance and I highly recommend them. We could not be happier with the way in which our new kitchen transformed our home- it is everything we hoped it would be. Sincerely, Rodney and Karen Dorwin.

    J&R Plumbing And Heating
I had isolated the leak myself and then contacted J&R for the repair - there the next morning - finished the complete job - break up slab, replace pipe section and re-concrete slab (4" plus thick). They were very familiar with this problem saving time and money.

    JR'S Plumbing & Heating Inc
Slow slab Leak -- called JR in the evening and they responded promptly starting work the following morning. Very personable guys who worked non-stop verifying the leak, breaking up the slab (amazingly saving the tiles on top) and replacing the section of pipe with the leak. They were very thorough and professional in their work. The cost was very reasonable. I would recommend these guys in a heart beat.

Joe Sampsons Plumbing & Heating LLC
Joe was fantastic for a list of reasons! I would 100% recommend Sampson Plumbing to everyone and I would absolutely call him again!! 1) Price: I met with 5+ plumbers and I called about 10 plumbers before hiring anyone. Some plumbers wanted to charge $50 just for assessing the job to provide an estimate (Joe provided a free estimate). Most quoted me between $1,000 to $3,000 more than Joe! If you are price shopping, then just quit now and call Joe. I already did the leg work for you. He is by far the most reasonably priced and he was the only one that seemed honest and trustworthy. Plus, he did not nickel and dime me for minor items. 2) Professionalism: Joe was the ONLY plumber who took it upon himself to email ME to follow up after our visit and he provided a detailed estimate in writing. Other plumbers from Angie's List didn't get back to me at all. After we had scheduled the long list of work, I called him thinking that I needed to add more projects to the list. He asked me to text him photos of the pipe in question. Joe explained that the pipe was fine for now and he will address it when he is scheduled to come rather than charging me for an entirely separate visit. THAT is HONESTY! He could have taken advantage and made more money off of me. 3) Scheduling: Joe was very easy to schedule with. When he had an earlier opportunity to come, he called the night before and asked if he could start a day earlier. 4) His crew: His crew (Scott and Tom?) was an absolute pleasure to work with. They went above and beyond their job. My contractor didn't follow the construction schedule so there was no sheetrock on the wall when they came to install baseboards. These guys went out of their way to cut two boards of sheetrock and install it along the wall so that they could properly install the baseboard. I told them to just leave me the baseboard and I would have someone else install it at a later date but they insisted on doing their job properly. The only minor flaw is that after relocating water pipes, they left some of the cut/dead pipes sitting in the wall/ceiling instead of removing them. That is minor though, easy to fix. I have met with dozens of technicians/contractors in the last two months, dealing with Joe Sampson was the easiest part of the entire renovation process. Definitely call him. You'll save yourself a headache and money.

    Perkulator Cesspool Service Corp
Got the recommendation from a friend and called Craig on Super Bowl Sunday. Craig answered and ran me through some steps to do when I returned from a party that evening. He showed up the next day at 8:30 to find the cesspool and dig it up. Turns out I have block cesspools (which are now illegal, but legal in 1970). Craig and Corey ran the snake and unclogged the line, hydro-jetted the main pool and poured acid in the pool. Go to Perkulator website if you don't know what Hydro-jetting is. Craig ran a few scenarios...either getting new pools installed or keeping with the current ones with the advantages and disadvantages to both. I did my own research, including info from his site - which is spot on - and we opted to have a new pool installed. There really is no point in risking a block pool collapse since the system was nearly 50 years old. We actually opted to just have a new main pool installed without an overflow for the current time. Two rings and a dome. Turned out that after they dug up the pipe that tied back to the cast iron main line, we found the cause of the original problem - a settling pool caused the pipe to start to kink. And while the pool itself was not necessarily the problem - even though it was filled mighty high - we opted for being safe then sorry. Another thing to note, we had scheduled to have the new pool put in that same week, but got over a foot of snow, so we moved to the following week...about 12 days since original date of service...I used everything in the house as normal for that period. When they opened up the old pool to backfill it there was maybe 10-15 inches of water in it. They hydrojetting is legit. All the guys were professional and helpful with everything. I would hire them again, and recommend them, every time!

Joe Sampsons Plumbing & Heating LLC
Ive had this smell come and go when using the Kitchen sink and washing machine. Numerous plumbers came to my home and did nothing for me. I called Joe and he came to my home and got right to work. He was determined to get to the problem. He started by making sure that EVERYTHING in my house was protected and stayed clean! First he broke through the bathroom wall, because that is where the odor was located. After finding nothing, he continued to the bathtub area. He found a potential source of my problem. There was a hole that was filled with water that was coming from the sink and the washing machine. He was digging and digging but couldn't find the pipe. We called it a day and he came back a few days later. He had to break through my tile and concrete slab in my kitchen. Again, he was extremely cautious about keeping my home clean. He located the drain pipe that was leaking and got right to work replacing it. Before he left, he made sure that i was completely satisfied with the work he had done. I would definitely hire again. Very professional to work with.

B&R Plumbing & Heating of LI Inc
I was charged 50.25 for 2 parts that would of cost me 15 dollars at Home Depot. They were only there 30 minutes since it was a simple fix but I was still charged the full hourly rate of 195.00. Total bill before tax was 245.25. I was under the impression since it was so quick and with minimal parts needed the cost wouldn't be high so I mentioned about paying cash. I had the $50 dollar coupon printed from their website so after everything was said and done the total was $195.25 cash (this didnt include tax obviously). They said if I had this amount in cash that would be the final bill. When I realized I didn't have that much cash on me I had to use my credit card. The way this company works it is they will add the tax onto the higher amount, so in this case they used $245.25 to determine a total bill of $266.40, which they then deduct the $50 coupon. In my case, they should of deducted the $50 from the $245.25 and then taxed it. By doing this they are over charging you, so more money goes into their pocket... Even though there is a 60-70% markup on the parts. Do yourself a favor, if you're going to use these guys don't say anything about the coupon until you get the bill given to you, then present it. This way they can't work the #'s to benefit them. When I called about being over charged, since they didn't tax me at the $195.25 bill and instead at the $245.25 bill, and then using coupon after tax has been add I was told this is how they handle the coupon. You pay cash, they deduct the coupon from the amount before tax, but in my case, they weren't taxing me if I paid cash. If you pay credit, they deduct the $50 from the taxed amount. Not a good way of doing business. Bypassing taxing all together with cash compared to taxing me on the higher amount, not the lesser amount after the coupon was applied. In my case, the difference in the amount was under $5, but the ethical issue behind this is the reason for my post.
