    SPILOTRAS PAINTING
Call in for appt to get estimate & came next day or so. Met owner (Mikehael) @ house who gave estimate via email. I approved & we set a date to start. Day of painting, 2 painters arrived, they introduced themselves to us & then stated working. An hour or so later, 2nd owner (Robert) present @ house to check on job. During the whole job, the 2 painters, no matter what we asked, they are capable to do the whole job! When they said they will be there at 730 am, they were here, ever day. All work performed in a clean & professional matter. I would & will recommend this company.

    Ismael General Contractors
It was a horrible one. He painted most of the house. Towards the end, we had decided that we wanted to take a tree down. We already had contracted another landscaper to do it. He told us, "Well, I'll bring the tree down. You just have to buy me a box of beer and I'll just do it." At that point of time, he did the first bathroom two months ago and it was perfectly fine. I went to Home Depot and rented the sawing machine. I got home with the sawing machine. An hour later, he started cutting down the tree. One of the branches came down perfectly fine. So now he is going for the main trunk. So he is getting up there with no ladder, just ropes. We're all telling him, "Ismael, you need to get down because it is getting dark." We don't have much lighting in the yard. It's only one light bulb. We barely moved into the house. He continued to start cutting down the tree. I said, "Let me just go to the supermarket and I'm going to go grab something to eat because I'm kind of hungry. We've been here working on the house." 15 minutes later, my husband calls me saying, "The tree hit the house." I'm like, "You're kidding." He said, "No, the tree fell on the house." I got to the house and one corner of the house was destroyed. It actually destroyed the structure of the house. So he started patching things up as he thought he knew what he was doing. He went to Home Depot, bought a whole bunch of materials and started working on the roof. Something inside of me told me, "This is not going well." So, I decided to call a local contractor here in Rockland County, which I did. He came and he took a look at the house and he told me, "Whatever he is doing, it's not going to happen. You guys are going to have a leak inside the house." So we contracted the person that came in and looked at the house and that cost me $4000. Aside from that, he told me that he was going to pay half of the private contractor and I've never heard of him ever since. He seemed so humble. I'm a bank manager and I met him at the bank. He showed me many works that he did and I said, "Well, he seems to be an honest guy." The reason why I didn't prosecute or anything else was because I don't want to lose my job. I met him at the bank as a customer and I don't want him to accuse me of harassing him. But, it cost me $4000 aside from the family issues that I had in this house because of that. This person shouldn't even be working. He is not even licensed. And then I found out that he is not a legal resident. The job was sloppy. He even has helpers with him that are not even licensed. It took him three weeks to just paint three bedrooms, a dining room and a living room. It was 2 o' clock in the afternoon and I get to the house and I'm like, "Where are you going?" He said, "I just feel like I want to go home." I said, "It doesn't work that way. I'm paying you to do a service. You've spent enough time here already. It's bad enough that you're in my house with a tree that fell on the house. I'm still allowing you in to finish up the job."

    Roberts Handyman Service
I have finally found my go-to handyman for all my household needs!!! Hooray!  Robert arrived on the same day of my first call (a Satuday!) and was wonderful in every way.  He not only discussed and immediately fixed the issues I currently had, but is going to provide estimates on additional work I need!  He is EXCELLENT and I will look no further!

    fanman
FanMan was fabulous! He came to my home on a Sunday, discussed options for my repairs with me, was friendly, knowledgeable, clean, fast, and very fair price-wise. I was very happy with his work, and will absolutely recommend him to all my friends. I plan on having him back this Spring for some work outside, and to service my A/C before Summer. He will be my go-to guy!

    Johnny Fix It
This review is long overdue. Johnny came over to my new home right away to look at putting in a brand new mailbox where none had ever been. He gave a quick and fair estimate and did a great job without me even needing to be home ! I highly recommend him !

    Westside Home Improvement
It was a short notice job.  He did a great job on all of the work that he did.  I just felt the $300 was a little expensive, but it was a hurried job that was completed quickly.  I am very satisfied overall!

    Ultimate Home Services
I had read the reviews for this company, saw the photos provided and the accompanying website.  My first impression was a good one, professional.  I did see that he failed to respond to someone in the past but among all the reviews, this seemed to be an anomaly.  In the ad, it states that email contact is accepted so I sent one out.  In the email I described what I wanted him to do, remove an in the wall AC unit, plug the hole inside and out.
    No response..........
I then called him and left a message with my phone number, again, describing the job I wanted to hire him for.
    No response......
So, now its no longer an anomaly.
I understand people are busy, if you dont want the job, can't do it, whatever.  Say so, dont leave people (potential customers) hanging.
    Sorry, but you failed miserably.

Nova Professional Painting & Home Improvements
Nova Professional Painting & Home Improvements did a wonderful job and had a very reasonable price. They had to come back to make some corrections on one item and they came back. They were very professional and they did it. Everything was fine. He found all those things that I didn't even know were there. I was very pleased with his service. I asked him for a quote for painting the house and on the outside as well, he's going to come back to me for that. We had to reschedule because of the weather, it was not his fault.

    Westside Exteriors
I'm very satisfied with Westside regarding all aspects of my experience. I was able to schedule an appointment with the owner for an estimate on a day that I had already planned to be home from work. Since the jobs I had were mostly handyman type jobs, I was told I would pay an hourly rate (which I felt was reasonable). After that point, communication was primarily with his secretary to schedule an appointment for getting the work done. I appreciated being able to email questions as I'm not always able to make/return phone calls during the day. Bucky did the work, and was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and very thorough. He did a great job of matching the floor moulding that was already installed in the rest of the room and even took the initiative to fix an issue with my door that was causing a significant draft in the room. He also installed a light fixture in the ceiling and addressed some minor issues with the wiring that he discovered. Finally, he cleaned up after himself to the point where it did not look like he had ever even been there! The entire job took a little longer than I had expected, but I take responsibility for not discussing the size/scope of the job with Bucky when he arrived to get his sense of how long it would take him. Also, like I said, he fixed a few other things that I was grateful to have addressed. In the future, I would probably discuss a time frame/cost upfront that I was comfortable with and then decide whether to go beyond that point. That being said...I have no regrets as the work Bucky did was topnotch and I would definitely use Westside again!

    Let Dave Do It
He was very prompt, courteous and professional for both the estimate and the actual job. The bathroom and the doors came out beautiful! The job was completed when Dave predicted and he was very neat and easy to work with. I already discussed design ideas to remodel my master bath. Dave is now on my speed dial.
