    Choice Home Warranty
    I called choice warranty and setup appointment for a repair person. This worked well. The first appointment always works well. The repair person provided his estimate. There was option to pay me money since the repair cost was high. I was seeking to discuss this with Choice warranty. I tried to contact Choice at least 5 different times within a 10 day period. Each time I was on hold for 20+ minutes. But never got to talk with the representative. This was a very frustrating experience. Till then my experience with Choice was very good. But, from then I noticed any time I have to discuss an existing claim, there was no way to reach a representative in a reasonable time. I am very unhappy about this turn of events. I had another claim about garage door which I filled. Within a month a similar claim was put in again. However the second time around another person was asked for repair and I had to pay another $45

    Great fast work, the repairman came on time and finished in half an hour.  Called on Labor Day, spoke to a person and he was here early the next morning.
    In addition to fixing the motherboard, he also showed me how to get my dead ice-maker working again. I would definitely recommend.

    Marty is always knowledgeable, helpful and if he can't figure it out the first time he doesn't give up until he gets it done.
    An example is that I was cleaning the inside liner of our front load washer a little to zealously and the spring that keeps the rubber seal inside the machine came out. The design of our machine is challenging and it is stacked under our dryer so it can't easily be moved out. At first Marty wasn't sure how to fix - came back next day with an idea and it worked.

    I am a new homeowner and bought a home warranty in order to protect against appliance/plumbing/electrical problems in the first year of ownership.  My refrigerator was not working properly, so I filed a claim with the warranty provider.  I was referred to Appliance Medic through this program.  When I called, the person at Appliance Medic asked for my phone number and I gave them my cell.  They insisted I provide a home phone number, even after I explained that the cell is always with me and that I am at work all day and cannot answer the home phone.  Nonetheless, I gave them my home phone number "for the record."  On the day of the appointment, which was scheduled between 10am and 1pm, I asked my father-in-law to stay at the house to greet the repairman.  At 1pm, no one had shown yet.  I called Appliance Medic from work and the person on the phone said someone would be at the house "any second now."  At 2:15pm, with my father-in-law still waiting, I called Appliance Medic back and told them to forget it.  When I got home later that day, there was a message left on my home phone at 2pm waiting for me.  It was Appliance Medic asking for a return call about my repair.

    Sears comes out right away if you have a problem. They are on top of things and they do back what they sell. If you like Kenmore like I do, then go there. They are good in terms of everything in my opinion.

    When I called to ask if they would do a house call for a 27 inch portable TV, they were immediately agreeable. They scheduled the appointment at my convenience. It could have been sooner if I had been available. They arrived on time and were very pleasant and professional. They had to take the TV back to the shop, estimated 5-7 days for repair. They called 3 days later, ready to schedule delivery time. Again, done at my convenience and could have been sooner if I was able. They set it up with cable box, VCR, adjusted the color/brightness etc, without being asked.
