  • Well. Mike is very good at adapting on the fly. We changed the job a few times, but Mike and Mikey are a great team and they see and bring ideas in as well. This is the third time they have worked for us.

  • We hired ADR last November. . There have been many issues with the workmanship. 1st, the old driveway asphalt was to be removed but they only removed maybe a 1/4 of the old asphalt and covered the rest with dirt. I contacted the owner of the company, Reis, and he said he would take care of it. The next day I checked again and they only removed some more of the old asphalt under the dirt they put down. I called Reis again. They finally removed all of the old asphalt the following day. The new asphalt surface is inconsistant. Reis said I need to have sealer put on. At an extra cost though. The ashphalt driveway was suppose to be 1" lower than the garage concrete pad, to prevent rain water entering the garage, but it was almost the same height. Reis assured me that rain water would not go past the concrete pad. I found out later that he was wrong. When the work was completed, the next day, Reis was knocking at my door for the balance. Which I paid him then. And then the bad workmanship appeared again: The pavers were suppose to have a special sand that hardened. Well, that was not installed. I showed Reis, he verified that the wrong sand was installed, but has not come to fix this. The stucco work they did had fallen off the walls after a couple of months! They came back to repair the stucco. Which is still on at this time. The biggest complaint is that I came to find out that the cement work, that measured 11'x19' and was suppose to be level, was 4" higher on 1 side! After contacting Reis and the office, and got no where, I had to hire another mason to add more cement and make it level. The cost, $4,150.00! I contacted Reis with most of the concerns and he always had some answer or excuse. I had then contacted the office manager Nathalia numerous times with the concerns that were not addressed. I just got the run around. Then, my calls were not returned anymore. I have been very patient. I have not asked for any more then what is in the contract that was paid in full. I just want the work I paid for to be completed properly. ADR has shown me, and hopefully you, that they do not care about their client's. They do not stand by their work.

  • We have done a ton of work on our home that we purchased almost two years ago... I have dealt with several contractors and have not found any of them to even compare to the professionalism that this company brings to the table. Upon contact Charlie, the owner came onsite and gave a full estimate on the proposed projects, and was honest about what really needed to be done versus repaired. Within a few days as promised I received a detailed quote via email. He was responsive and easy to deal with to get the job going. We agreed upon a date, and a deadline as we had a party planned. His crew showed up on time everyday, worked through heavy rain when necessary. They were respectful and cleaned up everyday, we had terrible weather and yet they were able to complete the job as agreed. His crew are all true masons, these guys are not just laborers! I am a control freak, and very OCD... I was shocked how much we all thought alike and how much workmanship and care went into the work. I would hire them 1,000 times over. We had several quotes, Rolling Stone was the most fairly priced and you will be impressed with the quality and reliability you will receive.

  • Mr. Walsh came and rebuilt our front stairs, replaced some broken blue slate (including the whole top stair), and relaid and resealed the front area.  The job required pulling up an areas about 8' x 8' area and the two front stairs, digging out the sand beneath it and pouring a new concrete base.  He warned us when we first called that the job couldn't be started for about 6 weeks (he's good and popular) but he showed up when he said he would and he and his crew worked quickly and professionally.  They left the area very well cleaned up and the whole thing looks great.  We are very pleased.

  • We received the estimate from Dan/Labriola in about one day and, after we signed the contract and send the advance payment of 1/3, the work was scheduled within two weeks. The first day we had the masonry team doing everything except the mulch, and the second day the gardeners brought the mulch and spread it throughout the area. Everything was left clean at the end of each day.

  • gave him a third of the cost down.   He promptly arrived with his crew the next morning and began the work.   They covered the doorways to contain the dust in the room they were working in.  At the end of the day they cleaned up.  Throughout the construction Javier and his crew arrived on time ,were respectful ,  professional  and finished the job within the time frame agreed upon.

Javier honored the discount certificate .provided by Angie's list.   We would hire them again and would highly recommend Buena Vista Home Imp. to anyone.

  • I am a picky homeowner, more than most. I take days off to monitor contractors. I am very interested in the details, how much rebar is used, how thick is the concrete. James and crew immediately exceeded my expectations by cutting the existing sidewalk with a circular saw so the old meets the new perfectly. They even gave my adjoining stonewalkway and adjoining asphalt driveway a clean edge. Then there was a question about how would this new concrete meet up with my existing granite curbs. He must have read my mind,  and suggested we widen my drieway apron by removing a section of granite curb. This allows me to enter my driveway with driving up on my curb. I can now approaching my driveway from both sides and make a smooth entrance into my driveway.
The details. I love contractors that use text messaging, very convenient and not enough do. James responded to my texts right away.  We have been plagued lately with extremely hot, and then rainy weather. James stayed in constant contact with me, discussing the weather forecast with me so we could BOTH plan our days. Lastly, my town requires additional insurance and James was able to provide all insurance certificates for my town. The woman in his office faxed them to me same day. All very smooth, they both knew exactly what my city was asking for.
I have a lot of stone work to do in my backyard next sprint and I will be calling James.

  • Luis made an appointment to inspect the job.  He was on time.  He provided an estimate for the work the same evening via e-mail.
I accepted his very reasonable price and three days later, he began the work.
A crew arrived at my house at 8:00 a.m. on the appointed day.  They deconstructed my entire front stairs and walk and reset them in fresh concrete in 5 hours.  They left at 2:00 p.m.
The next morning, they arrived at 7:59 a.m.  They installed mortar bteween all of the stones, wrapped the whole job in plastic and asked us to stay off of it for 2 days.
They cleaned up the entire site so that you never would have known that they were there.
These guys work hard and clean.  I wish I had done this earlier.

  • He turned out to be good. At first the weather was really rainy and I wondered if he was coming back, but once the weather cleared up they were here working. He was not punctual at all. He would tell me he was coming at 10:00 and he wouldn't show up till 6:00. I might would use him again, since I know what to expect.

  • It went very well and they did a good job. They did exactly what I contracted them to do. They were on time and they finished very quickly. At the time they solved they problem that I was having. They were a little more expensive than others. I would use them again.
