    AV Appliance Service
I called on Saturday requesting dishwasher repair. We scheduled for Tuesday between 9-12. I got a call on Tuesday at 9:30 that something had come up. Could we do another day? No because I took the day off especially for this. They said they would come shortly after 12. At 2:30 I called and they were in Brooklyn. They said they were leaving right then and would get there at 4 or so. At 3:30 they were still in Brooklyn. So basically flat out lying all day long. Look elsewhere if you actually need service.

    Sears Appliance Repair
It went extremely well. The technician arrived before his scheduled time and took apart the areas of my dryer needed, in order to assess and evaluate the problem. It took quite some time to pinpoint the specific issue, but he did. He then went to his truck to see if he had the part needed and luckily he did. He installed it, out the dryer back together and tested it to assure that it was heating up properly and in good working condition.

    Appliance Driven Inc
Convenient our one-stop shopping capability in their showroom.
Here I could see how the cabinets, appliances and countertops would come together.
This is not possible in other showrooms - and usually means going from appliance store to kitchen design center - to granite showroom - sometimes two or three trips, while trying to get designer and sales staff to coordinate.
Loved the experience of having the complete package in one place - and that, along with great design team - let me envision how the kitchen would come together.
There was a great selection of appliances. Including some choices that are not available at any other showroom in Westchester (that I know of).
For instance, there was a refrigerator that I'd seen at the Architectural Digest Show in Manhattan, and had given up on tracking down because they have such limited distribution - but there it was - and almost $5,000 less than my original choice. (Sub Zero).
Expert design, knowledgeable staff, and the sensible display of cabinetry made this a good experience.

They are really good. They are phenomenal. They are very nice and very professional. I highly recommend them. They did not charge me anything since it was still under warranty. They contacted the company directly and ordered the part for me from Bosch. They were amazing. I would use them in the future.

    NICK WILLIAMS APPLIANCE SERVICE
Nick was recommended by my neighbor in the Spring 2012. Her family used him for years in the Larchmont/New Rochelle area. He came to look at my dryer and ice maker. Fixed the dryer on the spot with a quick replacement part (apx $150). He ordered a part for the icemaker, and returned a week later to install it (apx $300). Ice never formed. Called several times. He finally came back and said we needed another part, ordered it, then he fell off the face of the earth. Called him several times. Left nice messages, left stern messages. Even asked my neighbor to call him to get his attention. He never returned any calls. That was about a year ago. Since then, the dryer had the same issue again, so I just went to Sears and bought a new dryer. Ice maker still broken but I have a nice $300 part I apparently did not need. Finally getting around to writing the review. Nick is unreliable, unresponsive. BUYER BEWARE. He is flaky and not trustworthy. Not a good businessman. If you have a good experience, its just by luck that he decided to return your call.

Went great. He called back right after I left  a message on a Saturday. He was already on a job elsewhere in Westchester and suggested some steps to me in the meantime. Said he would be over as soon as he could that afternoon and was. Came over, looked things over and was able to swap out the old and put in the new and get it running in no time flat. Was one of the most tired miserable days of my life. Basement is dry now!

The technician arrived on time and was polite and professional. He replaced the faulty part and was honest when answering all my questions. I had forgotten to give the technician my Angie's coupon and after the technician had left, I went to their place of business with the coupon and a new check. They graciously accepted the coupon and check and mailed back my original check within a day or so. I was very impressed with the easy going and friendly atmosphere at their place of business.

Even better than expected. The repairman was one of the best workmen I have ever dealt with. It is rare and refreshing to find someone who loves his work and is excellent at it, because he is going to care enough to create a good outcome. He made several accurate diagnoses. His explanation was clear and his suggestion for a solution was excellent and appropriate. In 5 minutes he cleared up my understanding of window-unit A/C's in general, and I hope to use him as a resource in the future before making any further purchases.

I called the technician, "Tony," and he came that afternoon, albeit later than promised. He was not familiar with the appliance. I had to assist with removing the back cover (he missed some screws). In unplugging the panel from the main control board, he damaged the ribbon connector on the main control board. First he thought the replacement part was no good, so we called the manufacturer and ran some tests to see if something else wasn't wrong. He started plugging and unplugging parts. When nothing worked, I offered to call and order a re-replacement. He said he'd call them himself the next day...but I insisted and called on the spot to get it going. He spoke to the customer service person directly and requested that the re-replacment panel be sent directly to him, rather than to me. Then, when I asked him to put back the "old" panel so at least I'd have a working range while waiting 2 days for the re-replacement, he showed me that the ribbon was damaged while he was unplugging and plugging and that no connection was possible. This is when I first learned that he'd damaged the the control panel ribbon, which is a factory-direct part. We called back to order this, and I was told there was no ETA yet. So, Three weeks and many calls to the manufacturer later (trying to get the ETA on the new control panel), I was told that the control panel was delivered 12/30. It's 1/4. The guy didn't call when the subsequent replacement part we'd been waiting for was delivered (so I spent an hour on the phone with customer service for no reason), then lied about date of delivery (said it was the 31st). Said he couldn't make the repair for another week (this is a simple, one-hour project and I've been without my expensive kitchen appliance for a month). Worse, he refused to deliver the part so that another technician could install it the next day. Then he refused to permit me to pick up the part so another technician could install it the next day (I offered to drive tonight anywhere in the tri-state to get it, that's how much I want a working range...and he's about 15 minutes from my home). "I spoke to my lawyer and he says I don't have to give it to you" was the final answer I got. He was likewise not responsive with the manufacturer's customer service department despite their repeated calls today. The manufacturer is no longer recommending this technician. I paid to join Angie's list specifically to warn others who make the effort to check this guy's references. How I wish I'd paid to read reviews before calling in the first place.
