CI tried to schedule an appointment for a quote. Jack, the owner told me he coudn't come on Saturday, but he will make it on Sunday. I agreed and asked him to confirm with a text or call before he arriving. Never heard from him. Calls me on Monday morning telling me he was in Connecticut and forgot to call me. Not a good first impresion for a brand new potential client. If I didn't commit to a schedule in my business, I would lose ALL my clients. Can't part an opinion on the quality of work since he never did the job.- Jorge L.

AThe work was completed when expected. As we had certain issues with the tub we could not even test the work he had done for us until the work was done with the tub. That took a bit over 8 months before everything was done. We let Eddie know we were going to test the tub; he let me know he was available should we need him. We did not need him. The work he completed for us was excellent. Our tub turned on without a problem.- Laura O.

BOur entire yard is beautiful! The work done is excellent & Scott knowledge of plants is so extensive he should have a phd. All the guys are very friendly hard working & professional. The only downside is he has a lot of accounts that he personally handles & at times is hard to get a hold of so you need to be patient and be willing to wait for the work to be completed. I would absolutely use him again regardless of this. But it really was worth it our yard never looked this good. And he has stood by his work, he has been returning to help refill the sand in between the pavers that are settling or as the rain is kicking some up.- Jean L.

AHad a previous quote for 6-7 zones at a cost of $2800. Called LM for a second opinion and said my front and backyards only needed three zones for more than half the cost. They did a great job. Grass is looking good and healthy. Would use again.- Andrew C.

AThe front and rear landscaping from the previous owner was a mess. Purchased the house last year and didn't bother with it because it was so bad. Just mowed the weeds. This year I wanted to make sure the yards got the attention they deserved. Was looking for a quick fix and lay new sod and called Madrid. Adelmo provided a quote but thought the grass could be saved so we went that route. It'll take awhile before we see positive results, but the yards look great so far.- Andrew C.

AOur home is a new construction that was built in 2008. A few years down the road what we thought were normal settlement cracks turned out to be a flaw in construction. A support beam was not installed correctly causing our second floor to bow slightly. Just enough to cause cracks in the walls, as well as cause the doors to not close properly. Kevin was recommended to us by the engineer that inspected our house.
We contacted kevin and he made himself available right away for the evaluation of the project. He provided us a quote for the repairs which we deemed fair as we expected to pay alot more. Since our dining room was about to get torn up we decided it was a good time to dress it up a little bit. We decided to go with a fresh paint job, Wainscoting, and crown moldings.
so the entire job entailed the following
a) fix structural deficiency
b)install recessed lighting in dining room and one bedroom
c) crown molding
d)wainscoting
e) repair misc damage caused my structure issue
kevin's team was very thorough, detailed oriented, and respectful of our house. The minimized any mess, and did the job according to the highest standards.
we are extremely pleased with the job, the crew, and Kevin.

AThis company is very professional. They contacted me quickly and within 2 days were able to remove the tree. They were very organized and workmen were extremely nice and respectful of the property. After the tree was cut down and stump was ground down; the clean up was amazing. Everything was in its place and the property looked great. Would highly recommend them.

The top of the stoop that was extended into a porch is fine. The walls coming down from the porch, however, are stained with white, I guess, lime from the concrete that they used.
The side walk going to the driveway is pitched incorrectly, so water pools towards the retaining wall. Plus the low brick edging/small brick wall isn't level.
The walkway leading down to the sidewalk while installed correctly isn't proportioned properly. The walkway looks too narrow. I feel it's my fault for allowing the walkway to the sidewalk go without saying anything. I think that's due to my inexperience
I have called repeatedly and they never got back to me. Now the phone number is just one of those automated messages. No live person ever answers the phone.
I am very disappointed. I put my trust in this company because they were recommended to us by another company we have done business with. I also didn't hover over them because I assumed they were the professionals. Very disappointing.
I am now going to call in someone else, spend more money to correct what they did incorrectly. BTW, we used Cambridge Pavers, which the pavers which we're very happy with and they're not the reason for the lime stains.

ASJM fit the bill of the type of contractor I was looking for- expert masonary, trustworthly and professional. They are the perfect example of what an exceptional contractor is. From the start, Dana scheduled my estimate in a timely manner and addressed all my concerns. Shawn arrived on time as agreed and took the time to described what and how the repair need to be done. They are extremely friendly and pleasant to work with. I was rather unfortunately to experience an unexpected damage to my driveway but the care and attention that I received from SJM alleviated my worries. Shawn and his team arrived on time each day and worked tirelessly to ensure that the work was done right- during one of the hottest day of the summer no less. He even repaired some minor problems I had in my backyard for free. I'm pleased with the results and my neighbors don't even noticed that there used to be a large hole. I highly recommend SJM. They are Simply Just Magnificent.

Cadded lots of top soil and did decent job of tilling. can't really complain - but - in hindsight we feel it was rather expensive and the grass planted was overwhelmed by crabgrass. Kind of wish he had offered to install sod instead of the course we took.
overall, though, he was a nice , hard-working fella. My advice would be to do your homework and know exactly what you want done. I would give my wife and myself a poor grade for the amount of homework we did on this. live and learn.
