    Shleppers Moving & Storage
We had an excellent crew packing us up in NY. They worked neatly and carefully and were courteous, professional and neat. They left the house in perfect condition. They had to bring all of our items to the Bronx for 2 months storage, We were concerned that there would be a lot of dust, dirt and lost. But that did not happen. The items delivered to our house in PA were in excellent condition. The move-in was also excellent. We had the same supervising mover and the rest of the team was new. They were so careful moving the furniture into this newly built hose. No damage to the walls, floors and stairs. Great crew

None of the systems have ever worked for more than 4 days straight. Been fixed 7 times but they can't figure it out. I've offered to pay full price to redo the whole thing but they will not come for the past nine months. I also have a bad phone line to my pool house. They will not fix it because they say they are busy. It has been nine months. They also installed a secuirty system in my home. We had a fire and the system could not send a signal due to a failure. Telstar never warned me. They do not monitor your system. I called the emergency number during the fire and got an answering machine. Gerry is a nice guy but the operation is not real. The whole experience was awful

    Clock Repair
We spoke to her before her appointment. She arrived on time and brought the necessary parts with her. The wall clock was a 48" long. Great care was taken with the clock during repair, cleaning and replacing on the wall. The job was not rushed through. It took approximately three hours to repair and clean the clock. We are so thankful we found the clock lady - great job!

    Fairfield County Basic Pistol
Ralph Russo was a true professional from start to finish. He was very thorough with his lesson plan and was responsive to my questions. I felt extremely comfortable with shooting a pistol after Ralph properly trained me. I never shot a pistol before taking his course and now I am very confident in properly shooting a pistol.

    Notary & Apostille Service, Inc
Alan did a tremendous job, especially considering the tightness of the time frame. He was extremely flexible, reliable and professional. He actually went out of his way to save us some valuable time. We could not have completed the transaction without Alan.

It goes without saying I would use the services of Alan and his firm again and again. Can't say enough about his quality and reliability.

Simply put in a word I will say SUPERB.
My initial need was to have Mako resolve a blocked sewage main.  Jay had remediated a complex issue with a solution that saved me the need of replacing the main sewage pipe to city system.  by the effective use of a camera probe and a debris clearing device which removed foliage and cleared the blockage.
Jay's work was efficient, of superior quality and his workmanship.  It was at that point that I was so impressed with his work that I enlisted his support for a large scale reconfiguration and re-design of my entire home heating system. Which for my home was a massive undertaking given the age of the home (Built in 1928)
His team , with the guidance and experience and skill of Ricky Santoro (Master Plumber) , The oversight of owner operator Rich
Jay, ( responsible for re-piping bathroom )   Adonis, Ted Leo working in support of Ricky and Jay   combined a team effort to address all my plumbing needs within budget and keeping up with my aggressive schedule  for completion of this project.
They did so with a professionalism, expertise that was quite impressive. Punctual, Neat and conscientious to our needs. Meticulous, efficient, knowledgeable and curteous.
They let me know what steps they were taking at every stage of the renovation. I always know what work was being performed and at the close of every day I had a written summary with all materials cost ,  projected costs line items etc...No work was done outside of my understanding and I was never at all uneasy with their capabilities.  They worked under less than optimal conditions at times and never hesitated to go the extra mile.
As I am a highly particular person and very exacting in my expectations and very demanding this team at Mako plumbing represent the highest quality of service and dedication to the art pf plumbing and costumer service.
I will HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone who is looking for the very best in excellence, performance, and commitment to customer service. Any other choice for me would be settling for second best.
Thank you Rich, Ricky, Jay, Leo, Ted and Adonis !!!
    Well done !!
and thank you for all your efforts :-)

    Empire TV Repair
They said they would have to take the whole board, they were not sure what was wrong with it and it would be $285. They said there was a $50 minimum charge and I could give them a check or credit card. They said they don't take credit cards and wanted cash only. Then after arguing with them for awhile they agreed to take a deposit for $150 which was applied to All Dimensional TV Repair Service and Parts. They took my tv on the 2nd and said they would give it back on the 3rd. The receipt said the address. I tried to call the phone number and no one answered. I tried to call them up and no one was listed. I called several times and finally somebody answered and told me that it would not be ready until Monday and that they would have to send out a part. Monday I did not hear from them. Tuesday I did not hear from them. Wednesday I called up. Everytime I called I got a message that the party I called had not set up their voicemail yet. The guy who came over said that his name was Randy and that he was the owner's son. He said he would have to check on it and would call me right back. He never did call back. But about 5 minutes later they called and said they would have the tv the next day between 1 and 3. No one showed up . I called and called again and no one called. Saturday morning Randy called me and said he would be there between 1 and 3 that day. I waited all day Saturday and no one showed up. He said he would be there between 3 and 5. He called many times after that and no one ever showed up. The next day he said he would be over in an hour and a half and said make sure I had the rest of the cash for him. cash only. he showed up an hour and a half later with the tv and charged me $285. He had difficulty turning it on. I finally was able to do that through my tv box. He said it needed a power button and they would get it for me on Monday. They said they would have it to me the next day. My son found out that it only needed a power button, which is a small item and does not cost $285. It cost like $20 from the manufacturer.

Pros: Experienced real world truck drivers teaching CDL
    Class A students.
    Cons: Limited
equipment and instructor availability. No learner?s permit preparation.
I choose this CDL School after doing much research into CDL
schools on Long Island, NY. I am a 50 year old male who is making a career
change from a 30+ year career in information technology and have practical
teaching experience on technical and safety topics. So I understand how hard it
is to teach commercial driver training in a safe environment.
The training equipment is good. The tractor is a 1999
Freightliner with a 10-speed transmission with a 53 foot 1996 trailer (no ABS
brakes on the trailer). There is no classroom for permit training. You are
expected to obtain the CDL A learner permit on your own. If you read the NY CDL
manual available from DMV you should have no problem passing the tests. The
minimum you need for a CDL A learner?s permit are the general, combination and
    air brakes written tests.
There is also no ?office? to speak of for this school. There
is an office in Patchogue but students never go there. You meet your instructor
at a vacant lot off of Portion Road (between Beech & Elm Streets) in
Ronkonkoma. I believe they may have relocated to another vacant lot near the
Long Island Expressway since I have seen the trailer parked there on recent
trips out to Eastern Long Island.
The two main CDL instructors have full time jobs with local
gasoline tanker companies and bring a wealth of information to the student. One
plus is that the first lessons of the day are not totally rigid to time. If you
and the instructor show up early the lesson starts early and ends at the
designated time so not to short change the student after you on time. One minor
problem is instructor availability. In the summer months, Steve, one of the
owners of the school is mainly devoted to the sister motorcycle school. Dave
the other owner of the school handles most of the CDL instruction with another
instructor also named Dave as the alternate instructor. Lessons need to be
scheduled around the two Dave?s work schedules and with the summer driving
season and increased gasoline tanker deliveries the instructors work overtime at
their tanker jobs thus limiting your lesson choices. Most of my lessons were at
8AM on Saturdays with Dave, the owner, with a couple of mid-morning lessons
with the other Dave. This is a relatively new school (about 1 year of
operation) so they are between the ?doing it part-time? and having a full time
dedicated instructors for the school. Additionally, also only having one truck
limits the amount of training slots available to students.
First practice session is usually in one of the local
multiplex theater parking lots near the lot and latter lessons on the various
roads around Ronkonkoma and the surrounding towns. You do get a varied exposure
to different driving scenarios. The instructors also keep upping the challenges
for the student with tight corners to maneuver around and other road hazards
    one may encounter.
I purchased the 16 hour package that consisted of eight
2-hour lessons. I got off to a slow start because I hadn?t driven a stick shift
in over 30 years and trucks have double clutches. I wound up learning to power
    shift instead.
The downside of my training was that I felt intimidated by
the ?owner? Dave during road lessons. It may have just been me but I did have
several conversations about the intimidation factor.  When driving with the ?other Dave? lessons
felt like a Sunday drive. Unfortunately, the next lesson would be enduring ?owner
Dave? un-teaching me the methods the ?other Dave? had taught me from the lesson
In the end, I wound up switching schools and going with a ?so-called
CDL Mill? in Brooklyn, NY to finish up my road test preparations and eventually
obtaining my CDL Class A with a 40 foot trailer and a Mack 6 speed tractor. I
felt continuing with ONTRA was counterproductive though I had learned a lot. Driving
the congested streets of East New York, Brooklyn, NY was less stressful than any
of my lessons with ONTRA. My ?CDL Mill? instructor did much to alleviate any
fears and hesitations I had while operating a truck. I felt so comfortable
driving that not even driving my truck into a drug deal ?gone wrong? on the
streets by the Glenwood houses un-nerved me. I wish I had felt that way with ONTRA.
