Norman was very helpful in choosing the tile, vanities, medicine cabinets, etc. his scheduling was timely and the various craftsmen were excellent and really nice people and appeared when they were scheduled to. My husband and I are very pleased with the results . We would choose homecraft for any future renovations. Judy b merrick

    Above & Beyond Carpentry Inc.
Mark was absolutely a find! He combines a solid work ethic with a delightful sense of humor and professional demeanor. He was SO careful to keep the dust from getting all over my kitchen. He was on time. Plus the work is terrific...my ceiling looks like nothing happened to it. Additionally, he honored the discount for seniors/angie's list customers which I truly appreciated. A really good guy.

    ISLANDER HOME IMPROVEMENTS INC
Islander uses subcontractors. The team was punctual, respectful, prompt, clean. Work performed was high quality. There were a few unexpected findings behind the walls which led to some extras, but that is to be expected. Read the contract carefully and make sure you are in agreement with what is stated.

    Gotham Builders of New York
We are return customers of Gotham Builders. Our last review { you can see it posted 4/16 } was a reminder why we would never have any other contracture do our work. We had a full kitchen renovation which expanded into our dining room. In addition to cabinets, we had walls removed ,new windows ,tile floors, wood flooring appliances and painting....all completed to our satisfaction .All the staff ,from office ,to sales ,to carpenters ,to plumbers are all very professional . And ,we really appreciated the decorating ideas ! Gotham addressed any questions we had during our work simply and with no - nonsense .Again , thank you Gotham for a beautiful result --we love it.

    Panther Siding & Windows Inc
We spoke with Dave because we had a mold problem in our bedroom and water damage in a few rooms. He said our roof needed to be replaced which we knew because we had 4 layers of roofing.  He showed me other places in the house that had water damage due to the roof. After speaking with him and within a few days they replaced our roof. When his partner came over so we could sign the financing forms (after we replaced our roof), he said that the mold damage is from the basement. Two different stories but I'm pretty sure it was the roof causing the problems. We're very happy with the roof and the workmanship is excellent however my husband and I were at fault for not getting estimates. This was the first time we've ever been impulsive and just did the work. I am not knocking Panther at all. They do good work however next time I'll get estimates before I use another contractor.

    ISLANDER HOME IMPROVEMENTS INC

Islander Home Improvement renovated my entire basement.   The job included demolition of old paneling and sheetrock, running new electric wiring for high hats, reframing of wood studs, installing new sheetrock, hanging new doors, installing new railing and newel post,  all new custom moldings, and building a new half bathroom from scratch, just to name the main things...

I got 5 other estimates before choosing IHI, hiring this company ended up being a great decision.  Starting with Pat (the owner), he's everything you'd want as the guy overseeing a big job.  Pat is always on top of his work and keeps the homeowner informed of everything from the start of the job to the last day. Pat keeps all his promises plus more, he demands that his crew goes above and beyond to do the little extras to make customers happy and refuses to cut corners.  He does all this while keeping you entertained and laughing all the time. Quite the character, I'll leave it at that....

The rest of Pat's crew is as trustworthy and professional as they get -- Kevin, Gordon, Mike, and Pat Jr.  They are very punctual and never missed a day.  The guys treat your house as I it was their own. They lay down tarps starting from outside your house to the area of work to keep the mess from foot traffic to a minimum. They work a full day and always cleanup before they leave.  The end results are amazing.

Their work is great, my wife and I couldn't be happier.  I highly recommend them and I won't hesitate to use them again for future work done in my house. A+++

    Island Homecraft
My husband and I met with Dan Bolger and his colleague Dominick several times to discuss and plan what we wanted to accomplish for our kitchen.  They assisted us with a design to maximize our small space.  Their expertise and patience made this entire planning and selection process very rewarding for us.  We selected our flooring, cabinets, lighting, tile, and counter top.
The carpenters, electrician, plumber, and work crews were prompt and worked carefully to accomplish the goals for each day.  These men were skilled, knowledgeable and polite.  At the end of each day, they cleaned up and reviewed with us what they had done and what was planned next.
Dan Bolger, who was in charge of the project, checked on progress, addressed any and all of our concerns or questions all along the way, and let us know what work was to be done for the week and when it would occur.  Dan is a wonderful professional remodeler who takes great pride in his work, the work of his team, and in his customer?s complete satisfaction.  He is easy to
work with, honest and fair.  We highly recommend him.
The final result of our renovation was a beautiful, functional and easy-to-care-for kitchen which we love!

    A Step Above Stairbuilders LLC
It went well. They were professional, courteous, punctual and cleaned up after themselves. Most important, they did a great job. They left me with a staircase that is structurally stronger than the one I had.

    R. Anthony Vincente Home Improvement
It went very well.  The price was very on par and the work Tony and his crew did was excellent.  He provided an estimate and followed up with me promptly.  He is very upfront and honest.  I will probably use him in the near future.

    Marcor Construction, Inc.
Marcor is represented by Sales People that are commission only.
I contracted and negotiated with Glenn (Sales Rep) to have a complete wall of my house to be Resided and Windows Reframed. We agreed upon a price...the siding to match ...we discussed the insulation required ...He took pictures as well. He brought out his book of samples...the book showing BBB ...showing all of the wonderful examples of work they had done. I provided a sample of my siding to match what we have today (Certainteed Monogram)  - it is a common siding available.
A FULLY signed completed contract with every detail was written down and copied on official MARCOR contract paper. Glenn in WRITING wrote down the start date on the contract  and I verbally and signed agreed - I gave  50% cc DEPOSIT with the fully understanding that this could be completed in one day that week.  There was no misunderstanding here what so every.  There was absolutely no possibility of mis-understanding or mis-interpretation. The project would be started and completed in one day and start first thing Tuesday morning  - tentative start time 7:00am (Glen's wording).
That morning ...waited for the workers to arrive .... 7-8-9 -10 no word.....I assumed they were running late. I called Glen,  no call back. I called the office direct.... girl who answers the phone has no knowledge or record of what I'm talking about. I was told that my calls should be directed to "my Sales Rep".  Asked to speak to her "manager" and/or "project managers" - was told they are all in a "meeting".
Glen calls back and lets me know they are having an issue in finding and matching the same siding as what I own.
They are no longer making my siding there is an issue ....(This was a lie - My siding is readily available)
There is a delay and he would get back to me.....
I called the office again a few hours later .... again managers and supervisors are all in a meeting ...no one available to talk to.
I call again a hour later ..and told that ..."some one will be coming to my house today or tomorrow"
Leave message for Glen .... left a message ...trying to find out what is going on here.
It is now the afternoon .... and still no call backs ...
A "representative"  from Marcor comes to my house .(next day) ..I showed him my written contract ...he has NO idea whats going on. He was told to come to my house to find out what I needed to have done? ( What? - I have a signed agreed contract - what did I sign and agree to...?).
With NO answers...NO call backs ..... I email the owners of the company .... I finally have made contact with "someone".
Thomas emails me that "they have the right to re-evaluate" - "cancel the contract" - and basically declare the contract null and void ..... HOWEVER, upon re-evaluation ..... "in order to guarantee the project" they would be willing to complete the project
with the understanding that they would need to replace all 3 windows with Brand NEW Windows ..all of siding ... and who knows what ..... at a unknown cost to me ..... (I think they call this Bait-and-Switch and let's quote the customer such a high price that they would be crazy to move forward).
At this point - I came to the CONCLUSION that I would be CRAZY to even consider working with this un-professional incompetent company!

    OF NOTE
: I was never allowed to speak to ANYONE other than the Glen (Sales Person) and the receptionist.
I made MANY attempts to speak to everyone and anyone in this company, they refused to speak with me to get this resolved.
I fully informed them I would be writing a review and I would NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone. This review should NOT come as a surprise to them.
PS - The project was completed by another certified company a few weeks later  - They obviously did not need to sell me and replace 3 Anderson windows  ... and the siding matches perfectly (Certainteed Monogram) ..... It's readily available .
