    A-1 Tank Removals & Installations
Excellent. Nice clean job and I'm very happy overall. If I had to come up with one thing they could improve on it would be communication. I was promised a confirmation call the night before which I did not receive. However, they showed up as promised and did a beautiful job!

    Shirley Plumbers, Inc.
They fixed the problem in 1 hour. The two men, if I remember correctly were James & George, who were professional and also polite. I applied the $10.00 coupon they have on Angies List to the final total. I feel the price was reasonable and I would hire them again.

    East Coast Mechanical Services
Provider installed baseboard in November, 2015. On 12/23/15, provider started up boiler and functionally checked the system; however, did not leave heating system on because the roof chimney was covered with tarp (roof replacement work). Four days later, on 12/27/15 tarp was removed and I notified provider to turn on the heating system and leave it running. Aware that cold weather was coming, I contacted provider again on 12/30/15 to request to have heat turned on. Provider failed to do this and when cold spell arrive on 1/5/16 pipes froze and were damaged.
My expectation is that a professional heating system technician would protect property during repair work, until job is complete and accepted by customer. Similar to car being entrusted to auto mechanic, if something happens to a car, it is expected that mechanic is liable. Provider could have done number of things to avoid damage to my house heating system - turn off heat or release water pressure. Since, I have contact provider requesting repair of freezing damage, but received a negative response, refusing to perform repair work. Instead, providers came up with a proposal for additional work that included repair of leaks. This additional work is not necessary and diverts from professional responsibility to make good on mistakes made.
In conclusion, this provider lacks judgment necessary for successful completion of complex projects. Professional people make mistakes too. In a world of business, real professionals acknowledge mistakes and make good on them.

    Mid Suffolk Cesspool Service
Excellent service.  He called 20 mins before arriving.  Service was very good.  Outlined exactly what services he was going to perform and the price.  Informed us about our septic tank and the location of the associated cesspool.  I would definitely rehire and recommend this company.

    Perkulator Cesspool Service Corp
After having 2 terrible, and expensive, experiences in a 8 month time frame with RotoRooter with the same pools, costing over $3,000.00, not fixing the problem and getting the run-around for 3 days with them not showing up for appointments I decided to go on Angie's list and that's how I found Brent with Perkulator
He started his regular working day earlier in order to meet with me, at my only available time early in the morning
Brent and his worker were both very professional, we discussed the possible problems, agreed on pricing with whatever problematic situation he could run into while doing the job. He accommodated my tenant, who had planned a party for the weekend, by doing the job right away the next day and as he was doing the install he send pictures of everything that he was doing, including himself showing that he was doing the job and not somebody else.
I would certainly recommend Brent and his company at any time, it was a great experience doing business with him, very professional and reliable, totally refreshing (if that's even a word to use in his line of work) after having had such bad experience with RotoRooter..

Creative Design Ceramic Tile & Bath

We began our process to remodel this bathroom and our Master Bath several months ago by soliciting contractors from Angies list.  We received several proposals and were surprise how hard it was to find a contractor that could do the whole job and that seemed reliable.    Carmine, the owner, spent a significant amount of time with us talking about the different products to use, what he recommends, and doesn't recommend, other work he had done, and even sent us some great photos of his recent work.  All  of this was even before he even stepped foot in our house, so we had a very comfortable feeling that he really knew the products we wanted and that he could perform the job.  One of our biggest concerns was that a contractor would schedule the job, and keep to that schedule until completion.  I have to say that beside doing great all around bathroom remodels(our bathroom turned out fantastic)  He is a man of his word if nothing else.  He shows up on time every single day, no excuses. He tells you directly how it is, and what it will cost and how long it will take him and his crew.  Everyday He, Carmine JR and John showed up on time and ready to go.  They worked very hard,  clean,  and were always very respectful to my wife and daughter, and even the dog.  Sometimes these intangible things are just as important as good carpentry skills.  We did run into several unforeseen issues, like uneven and un-plum walls.  Carmine was able to plum and level the walls with considerable effort.  This was an unforeseen extra and if you want tile done right you do need level(flat) and plum walls so really no complaints here at all, Another issue was a tub arriving that I disliked(which we switched that day for a Jacuzzi tub.  Carmine was able to provide a licensed electrician to run power for the tub that very next day w/o delaying the job.)  We were able to switch out the tub and get it installed as per the manufactures specs.  Great job again here.

It is also noteworthy to add that Carmine did spend significant amounts of time with us asking about tile placement and layout, grout colors and types, and he is very knowledgeable about  what to do and what not to do.  We are extremely happy with the way the tile came out.

Additionally, They finished on time, and did every singe thing they promised and even more.  They paid attention to every detail in the smallest way and it really shows.

We have them booked in June to do out master bathroom and we look forward to welcoming them back to our house again.

    Mid Suffolk Cesspool Service
Robin the owner came promptly at 7:30 am. He had an efficient system to get the job done. He  left no evidence of cesspool problems, my lawn looked untouched. He was very friendly, efficient and professional. The price was right too. I had paid $900 for the same job 6 yrs ago, this time much less!!! I would highly recommend this company to my best friends & family.

Ken's Faucet & Toilet Repair Inc
I'm writing this on behalf of my parents - despite having a AL membership, they never thought of actually using it as a resource.
A small leak in the shower drain had saturated the ceiling underneath, and a plumber was called. He was presumed to be reliable, because he advertised in the church bulletin [no search for recommendations].
The plumber arrived promptly [so far so good].
He started to investigate by ripping the wet ceiling out [no tarp or dropcloth to contain the wet sheetrock].
He continued his investigation in the bathroom upstairs, disconnecting the toilet, and dumping it at the curb. It was replaced with a builder's level toilet kit he had on his truck.
He then removed the copper toilet and shower drains, and replaced it with plastic. The shower trap for the new drain ended up about an inch below the ceiling level.
He cautioned my parents that the RTV silicone [the actual leak repair desired] would take a day to cure, and demanded payment.
No itemized invoice was provided at the time payment was demanded, and no estimate or quote was discussed prior to cutting the existing piping or removing the existing toilet. The plumber said 'his brother' would be by on monday to fix the sheetrock, for an additional $400.
When I inspected the job, I saw used schedule 40 plastic pipe [brown stains] connected by glue fittings - and connected to the house's main drain stack by rubber compression fittings [I have not checked the local codes to see if that is permitted].
And some background - about two months prior to the incident, I needed to clean up after a clogged toilet overflowed. Since I had the ceiling off below the bathroom, I inspected the drains and fittings. There were no problems with the toilet [no signs of any leaks around the wax ring, and the copper was sound]. There was evidence of a minor leak at the shower pan, and thought that replacing the shower in the spring would be on the agenda [new base, surround and valve]. I was planning on starting the Saturday after this incident - and did not know that the plumber had been called.

    Cheap Snake LI
I called Tim this morning on behalf of the Mastic Beach Hebrew Center. Our toilets were backing up and we had received an estimate from someone for several thousand dollars to replace our main pipe.  Cheap Snake LI arrived in about 1 hour and Tim snaked out the line and got us running in about 2 hours for $145 which was the exact price he quoted me on the phone when I hired him.  They were neat, couteous, professional and honest.  I was told to wait before having him run a camera because this repair might last for years and further work and expense could be unneccessary.  I am reccomendeing this company to everyone who needs help clearing a clogged drain. This is mthe first time I've used Angie's List for a contractor and I am thrilled with the results.
