AMack Of All TradesI had a lot of various tasks addressed in my 1850's home in Victor. Indoor painting, deck staining, curtain rods hung, replacement of door hardware, refinishing an old closet, gutter work on small roof, replacement of dryer vent , odds and ends repair in the home. They replaced my water heater as well. I had several different handy men and all were very polite and responsive. They were good when I gave suggestions or asked for attention to detail. Very pleased overall. More work planned in the Spring!- Terri H.

FMack Of All TradesTerrible they started by coming on to quote with all these promises of time and quality. They postponed us over 4 weeks and a jury b that was only supposed to take two weeks took over two months. I have pictures of the terrible work. We had to send a cease work letter and hire someone to redo and finish the job. Make sure you get a scope of work so the quote is legal and you have a leg to stand on when it all goes wrong. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with hiring a contractor.- Judith G.

AI called Van Sant Construction today and told a Brett I had a small job for him to do for me.... mounting a small electric heater on my basement wall. He came by the same day, took a look at the job to be done, left to pick up a few supplies and was back in an hour to do the job. He was quick, professional and charged me a very reasonable rate! I would recommend him to my family and friends anytime. A very nice guy who does the job right. I highly recommend him.

Recent Review:
FGuy never showed for work to rebuild our front deck and some replacent siding. Took our down payment of $500.00 and kept giving excuses about giving it back. Had to take to small claims court in Sept 2020 upon setting that up ran into another customer of his that tore siding of his house and never returned and also took $5700.00. So we will all be in court the same time and date. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THE OWNERS NAME IS DARREN CHAFEE !!!!!

DThe Smart Home features they installed, such as thermostat and door locks, etc. do not always work. For example, the Honeywell thermostat can no longer be operated from our phones and is difficult to install. Remote door locks are also unpredictable.

FEquipment left lying around. 2 -guys putting on roof were not always supervised - did not repair problem just bandaid. Was not told not removing all shingles but put on over prev shingles. Overpaid for amount work done. 2yrs later still picking up roofing nails in yard. Left box of nails in driveway dumped in gravel thank goodness found before drove over.
