    All American Home Improvement, Inc
After having a couple of different roofers unsuccessfully attempt to find and seal the leak, I came across All American Home Improvement searching online. When I spoke to Jeremy he explained that the leak was most likely caused by an old exhaust fan that was installed in the roof. He had the fan removed and closed up and shingled the roof. You can't even tell there was ever a fan there and the leak is 100% fixed. Even with heavy rains no water is seeping in at all and it's been 6 months since the work was done. Would highly recommend.

    Betton Floors
Amazing. This is a family company. They come through each day on time. The work starts soon after entrance and setup. Then it's amazing , like a machine the work starts. The work day ends each day 30 mins before they leave . That's when they clean up the job site . They don't leave till it's all picked up and cleaned up. My next job is a bedroom that I'm hardwood flooring . I have already scheduled the job . I would highly recommend betton floors (Phillip and his family and crew are amazing)

    New Dimensions
Horrible. Their prices was thousands above all others and the quality of the work and the materials were inferior to Home Depot. All they wanted was payment and before my last payment abandoned the job with a punch list longer than the original list.

    New Dimensions
At the beginning, this company was great.   As time went one, the work was sloppy, not on time, did not work consistantly.  Prices were way high compared to other companies (which I found out after the fact).  I paid $ 80,000.00 over the going rate for my project.  Work and materials were horrible quality.  He puts you on a payment plan, and once the last payment is recieved, his job is done, even though the work is not done.  Hostile boss who confronts you and is rude.  Punch list never completed.  Hits you for extras and extras after ripping you off.  Worst construction company I have ever dealt with.

    Wickman Construction Inc
Brian Wickman is the most professional contractor I have ever used.  The job he did was phenomenal.  I had several other people look at the possible job and decline it due to the complex nature of what needed to be done.  It was not a simple install of an oven.  It needed both carpentry and electrical knowledge, which is not an easy combination to find.  He looked at the job and started planning everything that needed to happen.  He not only completed the installation of the oven, he went through the plan with me before doing any work to make sure I was comfortable.  Brian had to move the dedicated 220 outlet as well as the 110 outlet for the hood vent.  Speaking of the hood vent, Brian had to install this from scratch, it was not a replacement.  He had fully install it including cutting up through the ceiling and venting out the roof.
It was an amazing job.  Not just the quality of work, but also the professionalism, the punctuality and the price.  Not only would not hesitate to use Brian again, I have a few projects that I have lined up for him to do.  It was such a refreshing experience and I had no stress at all once I spoke to him the first time.
I highly recommend Wickman Construction for any project you need done around your home.

    Homecraft Remodeling Corp.
I was cleaning a towel bar and was too rough with it and it came off in my hand.  I called Norman and he asked me to send him a picture of it and i did.  He then got in touch with me and set up an appointment for a service tech to come and repair it.  When the service tech arrived he showed me I.D. and said he was sent by Norman from Homecraft and was here to fix the towel bar.  He was very courteous and i directed him to the bathroom upstairs. It only took the service tech named Frank ten or fifteen minutes to replace the towel bar. He cleaned everything up and was very professional.. I asked him the price for fixing it and he told me Norman said there would be no charge. Although Norman and his company built my dormered bathroom upstairs 6 years ago i was very happy that it was still warrantied. The bathroom looks great as does the kitchen downstairs Norman and his company did for me ten years ago. I still get compliments on both the kitchen and the bathroom .I  called Norman and thanked him. i still recommend Norman and Homecraft to anyone i speak with who needs any sort of work done in their house. Zajac Home Improvement
Let me start off by saying that the Father and Son team at Zajac Home Improvement is by far one of the most professional businesses I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From the estimate to the last nail being hammered in, they are a company of their word. Their  workers were hard working men who were courteous, reliable, trustworthy and all worked within the time frame that was promised.
I was always treated with respect and extreme patience was extended when choosing materials, and attitude was NEVER given when I changed my mind. I was given many quality options when choosing my new front doors, siding, countertop, paint and lighting fixtures.
Their work is meticulous and precision to detail is amazing. From the drywall to the framing, the plastering to the grouting, the painting to the installation......EVERYTHING exceeded my expectation.
I was given a start date and an end date and that is exactly what happened. I didn't lose have of the crew by day two so they could start another job! They all stayed with us until the job was completed. A final walk through was completed before any mention of final payment, and only when I stated that we were completely satisfied did the transaction actually take place.
There are so many contractors out there who are looking to take advantage and promise you the world knowing they could never deliver but not the Zajac Home Improvement. They are who they say they are and I have already recommended them not only to friends and family members but complete strangers who have stopped in front of my home to admire they work they have done.
We are looking forward to our next home improvement project and this time there will be no need to shop around because Zajac Home Improvement is the only place to shop!!

    Above & Beyond Carpentry Inc.
Service provider contacted me. I discussed what needed to be done. He agreed he could do it and would need 2 weeks notice before the job. I texted him when I was ready with the 2 weeks. He said, he would check his schedule and get back to me. I waited a few days and wrote again. As of today, no response. I had to hire someone else.

    JM Custom Contracting
JM Custom Contracting -  Joseph Meile - 718-738-1594
Mr. Miele was referred to us by our painter. Mr. Miele is a relative of our painter and we were assured that
he was reliable and honest. My wife met with Mr. Miele at our residence in June 2012 to discuss with him our plans for the kitchen. The initial meeting went well and my wife was satisfied with Mr. Miele?s recommendations for the renovation of our kitchen.
He began work the following week and told my wife he would need a payment of $2000.  He began
the work and I paid him $2000 at the end of the second day of his work. For that $2000 he closed off an entrance to our kitchen and built an enclosure for the refrigerator. This entailed building a 2X4 frame and some sheet rock, he
also gave it one coat of spackle. After starting this job he made recommendations that we redo the entire kitchen (New cabinets, granite counter tops etc.). He gave us names of his contacts for Kitchen cabinets and Granite counter tops. We visited with both of them and found that they were more expensive than the other contacts we found through another contractor. We
ordered new cabinets, appliances, and the counter top, and we were still waiting for Mr. Miele to get back to us with a written quote for the work that was done and the installation of the new items we purchased. We chased after Mr. Miele throughout the summer trying to nail him down to a time that he could finish the work he started, and give us a written estimate for the remainder of
the job. In September our cabinets were delivered to the warehouse and our counter tops had been fabricated. The dealers were pressuring us to take delivery of the cabinets and counter tops. The appliances had been in the garage since July. We still could not get a written estimate from Mr. Miele or get him to finish the work he started. He agreed to this and came to the house one evening to reassess the job. He started to point out what he believed to be problems and started growing the project out of control. We once again pressed him for a price and a written estimate. As he was leaving the house in a huff  he said to my wife that it would cost at least $5500 plus TIPS !!! Well we decided at that point that we needed to get estimates from other contractors. We spoke to
3 other contractors and settled on one that would do the complete job for $2475 ... The other contractors also said the work that Mr. Meile had done was worth no more than $500. Needless to say we went with another contractor who completed the job in ONE DAY !! And our kitchen looks fabulous .. Don't Trust Joseph Meile !!!

    Small Handyman Jobs
I purchased the Big Deal in November 2012 and unfortunately, we could not schedule anything until January 2013. When it came time for the work in January, he had to cancel due to inclement weather. I completely understand that; however, it made me nervous in that I knew February wouldn't be much better.

When he came out most recently, he showed up a little late and seemed to take his time. He cut three pieces of wood and replaced it on my doorway, but he didn't scrape what I thought was wood rot. He proceeded to tell me what wood rot is, but I just wanted him to scrape it and paint it. He says he's going to come back out on Thursday for a few more hours, but with the recent storm, I'm not sure if that will happen. Also, I had to clean up the sawdust and some random pieces of wood. I think he is a good guy and an honest contractor, but I just want him to come back out on Thursday to finish up the job by scraping the wood rot and painting my doors. Then, it will be done. I only left a negative grade because I feel like the process has taken way too long and I just want it finished.
