    Mr. Madrid and his team came to my house with 2 trucks ready to perform the aeration.  He let me know that my property would need a Spring clean-up before he could do the work, as the seeding wouldn't work effectively.  I assumed this was going to be the case since I fired my last landscaper over the winter.  Mr. Madrid and his team performed the clean-up, which included power raking, lime application, fertilizer, and peat moss.  They charged a very fair price ($150), which was way less than I was paying for 1/2 the service from my former landscaper.  He explained to me, in detail, the process to get my lawn back to perfect health.  I decided to hire Madrid Landscaping for weekly maintenance as well and I do not regret this decision.  My property has been well maintained and manicured since.  In addition, his team went above and beyond by helping me put my old, dismantled shed out to the curb for pick-up.  I highly recommend Madrid Landscaping.

    With the 1st scheduled appointment, I was advised that the appointment would be approximately 09:00 -09:30 AM. At  approximately 11:30, I called the office and was advised by Anette that she forgot to scheduled the appointment. I gave up an Overtime Oppurntunity to stay home for that appointment. My wife had to change her schedule so she could be home later day. A representative did come over and inform my wife that the Timer needed to be replaced on our sprinkler system.

    I contact the Office and made an appointment with Anette for Friday-May 31, 2013, almost a week later, for 08:30 AM. Again it was my day off and I forfeited an oppurntunity to work Overtime so I could be home for the appointment. I received a phone call from Anette that morning advising me that the Tech had car trouble (FLAT TIRE) and would be a little delayed. I thanked her and changed my plans to stay home till he got there. After spending the entire morning waiting for the TECH, I contacted the office at 12:30PM and was told that Anette would call me back. I was thinking to myself, there is no way she could have burned me a second time. Anette called my back and advised me that the TECH who is the "NASSAU GUY" didn't come to work due to his FLAT TIRE CRISIS and she would try to have someone there by 04:30PM. 8 hours after the original appointment. I could have worked 8 hours Overtime and been home by 04:30PM, I could have seen my mother in the Hospital or actually get something accomplished at home without looking out my front window ever 5 minutes for DUANE the SPRINKLER TECH. I guess I should be happy that Anette called me at all. I informed Anette that my Son had a LAX Game at 04:30PM and would it be possible to get someone to my house by 03:30PM and I was told "NO". On both occassion I had to contact the office. My time was wasted and I truely feel that TENDER LAWN CARE did nothing to try to correct the problem. They lost my business.

    My last landscaper quit us and my mother-in-law because we were too demanding. He also did provide any chemical lawn treatments because he was not Federal DPA or NYS DEC licenseed and qualified to do so. Saw their ad, called them and they gave an estimate including all the services I stated above and then we signed a yearly contract and have been happy with their services and treatment ever since.

    I signed a contract for $1030, but I paid $830 because they did not complete the work. Overall I wasn���t happy with them because they told me that they were coming three separate times.

    The first time they were a no show. The second time they showed-up about 4.5 hours later than they said. Just as they showed up, it started to rain and they asked if they could reschedule. The next time they showed up 3 hours late again. They did all but $200 worth of the work which was root removal. They said that they did not have time to finish this or they would not be able to do the next job.

    They said that I did not have to pay them the extra $200 for that work. I asked when someone would come back and finish it and they said that the owner would come back the next day and do it himself. The owner did not come and when I called he said that he totally forgot to put me down as incomplete job and that he would schedule me now. He said that someone would be here on Thursday and they never came on Thursday or Friday.

    The following Wednesday, my parents were babysitting and they saw a man walking around my backyard in the dark, so they went outside. He told them that he was supposed to remove large surface roots and he said that the whole yard has large surface roots as far as he could feel and that he would have to take the stump grinder and grind up the whole yard. My father thought that he smelled alcohol on him so he told him to come back in the day light when he could see.

    The next day he pulled up again at 5 o���clock less than an hour before dark. Concerned about my father's report that the man may have been intoxicated the night before, I walked up to the truck driver before he unloaded the stump grinder from the trailer bed to smell his breath when he spoke. I smelled alcohol on his breath and I told him that he was not to operate equipment on my yard when he was under the influence of alcohol. He said that he only had one drink. He was swaying from side to side. He got in the truck again and drove away. I reported the incident to the authorities and the company.

    Later, they were trying to reschedule and I refused. They said the employee was let go, and that they were completely outraged by his behavior. Their response was appropriate if they really did let him go.
