They were terrific. Chris had some unique ideas on how to make the most of limited space since it was a small kitchen and the bathroom looked amazing He was hands on doing the major work himself. He went out of his way to make us satisfied and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

So this is how it went the area above the garage that bedroom wall came 1500.00 dollars what did i get the agreement states 200BD ft closed cell insulation closed of inch Refillable foam and 400 bd ft of closed cell . The structure was traditional 2x4 this product goes by the inch deep i believe. That entire area was done and done well. Now the kicker was the front wall which is the cantilever which had defects and of course had traditional batt insulation You have to be prepared to do this area which was 50 sq. ft. with up to 7 inch high foam it was a staggering 2371 in cost. A Lot of foam was used and . That was done excellently with pictures proved documenting the installation. The workers did an excellent job. It is a shame the product is so expensive. Anyone who builds a dormer or room onto a home that does not utilize this product is foolish. An immediate improveemnt has beer realized in the room. This project was not funded as a cost saving improvement that will repay itself at this late stage but as a comfort improvement. Highly recommend this company for its professionalism. Mr. Ehinger is a excellent salesman and a attribute to this company.

The crew arrived on time and were neat and clean. Approximately a few weeks later I felt some drafts still so they came back and fixed somethings they had missed. Still, a few weeks later I didn't feel like any of the insulation they added was making a difference. My furnace was still running the same amount of hours per day and I still felt cold in my house. I spoke to a supervisor who was very receptive and came out to the house to take a look. We surveyed the house together as he took temperature measurements at different locations which revealed the house was still cold and drafty in spots they had put in insulation. He put in a work order for the crew to return and correct the problems. When the work crew came back a month later I wasn't home but my wife was. She called me asking me where they should go since they told her they weren't sure what they were there for. After conferring with the office and having the supervisor show up to my house they began to work. My wife told me they were there briefly and whatever work they did everything still felt the same. I called the office and again spoke to the supervisor who said at this point the weather is a lot warmer and for him to try and get readings to measure the temperature it would be fruitless and he suggested they come back in the fall when the temperatures drop. At this point I am feeling pretty frustrated and feel like I spent a lot of money and my house is still extremely drafty and very cold. I will say that every time I have called the company has been very receptive and seems genuinely concerned with my complaints. They have tried to remedy the problem and I'm hoping when I call back in the fall we can finally get this taken care of once and for all.

First of all, I am glad the job is finished. Using a new contractor for the first time is stressful. Anticipation as to the outcome, and the hope that there will be no major problems are foremost in my mind. Bill Evans was there to assist me in the decisions for which I was thankful. I have had contractors before who did a 180 after the contract was signed. Bill was always a phone call away, or at my front doorstep. He was conscientious throughout. All of his team were congenial and professional. They had a job to do and they did it. No verbal arguments throughout the job. After working, they cleaned up my property with a broom, a magnetized nail cleaner, and a blower. They were at my home when promised. If they were not on time, they apologized. I respected them and they respected me.

The foreman, Chris, was a one-man wonder. He installed the doors and windows, also assisting in installing the siding and insulation. Chris was amazing. Kept on going and going, never yelled or became visually unnerved. He is very focused on the job at hand, willing to accomplish any of the tasks in order to please me, the customer. I do appreciate his perseverance and willingness to go the extra step. A big "THANK YOU" to Chris and Bill and the team.

What every homeowner wants when they hire a contractor is for them to arrive everyday on time, perform the work as agreed to and handle unanticipated issues and changes by communicating honestly on the easiest resolution to the problem. After a number of interviews of contractors I was lucky enough to have hired such a company for a basement renovation. The company, South Shore Construction of Massapequa, was hired. The owner Erik Baumer, took great pains to ensure that every detail was completed to our satisfaction. He arrived on time everyday and provided us with daily updates of his progress and the next days anticipated work to be performed. His demeanor and work ethic is professional and respectful at all times. He handles unanticipated problems and changes without much ado and works with you to ensure that you are satisfied with the end result. He approached every aspect of the construction with a meticulous and methodical mindset striving towards perfection. The quality of his work and use of materials is outstanding. He completed the job on time as promised even though we encountered several snow storms along the way. I would highly recommend Erik and his company for any renovation and/or remodeling someone may be contemplating.

The project was then completed to my complete satisfaction a week later. Joey and his workers were friendly, highly professional, and careful not damage anything in the house. I would definitely use Federal Conservation in the future.

Never let me know to seal the inside of house before the insulation was blown in.  I had cellulose dust in the rooms which even after the initial clean up and sealing the room has been a nuisance to deal with.

I ordered what I thought was $149 worth of insulation (valued at $500) and emailed for an installation date. No reply after several emails, I called and was told that they would come and inspect and tell me how much insulation I required. I said, I only wanted the $149 worth of insulation and was told that it wasn't enough and that there would be additional charges since that amount of insulation wouldn't cover my attic (even though I said it would only be 600 ft2. I asked that they just come and put in the $149 worth and was told that I should get a refund because they were looking for the upsell and I would not be happy (nor would they). The coupon is misleading.

We had a back part of our house that was old, single panel, drafty windows and a regular back door.  Doug converted it to a sliding patio door entrance, insulated wall, and did the outside siding, trim, and all wood modeling inside.  Doug stuck with the price he gave us at the estimate, completed the work on time (despite a heat wave), and cleaned up afterwards.  A very pleasant experience.
