  • Brian and his crew were fantastic. They arrived on time and were knowledgeable, professional and neat in all the work they completed in my home. Everything was done to my satisfaction in a timely manner. I would definitely use this company again in the future.

  • Absolutely wonderful experience.  I had been looking for someone for help with these projects and kept being told that they were too "small."  I called Brian and he responded immediately.  He visited the property shortly after that to assess the situation and said he was happy to help out.  We brainstormed about how to accomplish what I was looking for on the screened porch.   His solution was better than anything I had imagined!   He and his co-worker finished the projects in a few hours.  The work was impeccable.  In addition, I truly appreciate that Brian was very honest about the high cost of plexi-glass (which I definitely wanted for safety/weight reasons), and that he looked around to get the best possible price that he could.  I look forward to hiring Brian and Affordable Solutions whenever I need something done around the house!

  • Our first discussion was my explanation of the problem.
He said " the minimum cost would be $225 plus parts plus tax".

My next conversation was what would he charge to install a new $9 light sensor I purchased at True Value. He had to disconnect/remove the faulty light sensor. Then install/attach the new sensor wires to the electrical box at the bottom of a light post (4 feet below the sensor).

He said "he would charge $100 dollars plus tax but only when he was in the area".

I then searched Angie's List for a different electrician.

The electrician I used charged $45 plus tax with prompt service!

Response from Affordable Solutions by Brian on Nov 24, 2015:"Member
I am sorry that you want a qualified electrician who is insured and all
and expect not to pay standard service call rate. If you are looking for
someone to come out uninsured to work at your home I am not the guy. I
told you up front my rate. I also told you I could cut you a break if I
was in the area. Instead of being happy that I was trying to help you
out you want to put us down. I am sorry I can't afford to work for free".

Trade License Information: "Not applicable, my trade does not require licensing?

The electrician I hired is licensed.

  • I asked Brian to come out and provide and estimate on several projects for my older home.  He provided reasonable estimates quickly, including an estimate for a larger job which I told him right up front I was not doing immediately but wanted to have an idea of what it would cost. He also gave me suggestions for items for which I was not sure about the best approach. The estimates were reasonable - the electrical work was much lower than I expected.
I had him complete the basement windows and electrical work.  He came within two weeks of my acceptance of the estimates, and finished the work in one day.  The basement windows were installed and sealed, with new framing, and the old electrical was capped off and new fixtures installed. He and his workmen were professional, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves completely.  I have a long wish-list on my older home, and will be calling him again for further work.

  • I am very satisfied by the work done by Jeff Salerno Electric.  The electricians who did the work were very professional.  They arrived right on time and worked through the day.  Every item on the list was done properly.   They cleaned up after they were done, including vacuuming the area where they had to cut into the wall.  The final bill was according to the initial estimate.  Overall I am very impressed by the quality of the work and the professionalism of the company.  I plan to use them for future electrical needs and highly recommend them.

  • The electrical service to our 55-year old house was ridiculously out-dated. We had about 160 amps of circuits on a 120 amp circuit box that needed to be updated to 200 amp service. We were also gutting and remodeling our family room, wanted ceiling fans in the bedrooms, and needed lighting outside on our recently installed deck. We contacted three electrical contractors, and obtained extimates from each. Initially, Palmer's estimate was the most detailed but a bit hard to follow. Rick Palmer was cooperative and the estimate was clarified. They spent about 8 full days at our house and came back at the end of the day on other days to take care of issues that remained or to coordinate with other contractors. We could not have been more pleased. They were very professional, friendly and "rolled with the punches." Their work was excellent and when it needed some fine tuning to get things just the way we wanted them, they made sure everything was done right. We have had no problems with any of their work. We would strongly recommend Palmer Electric and would certainly use them again.

  • Instead of a general contractor with specialist subs, I essentially had one jack of all trades, so everything was done just okay, not great. wish i had had a tile guy to do the tile work so the joints would have been smaller and the tile cuts neater. cost me extra in marble tile for the errors. wish i had had a plumber to do the plumbing, sinks would drain faster and the open area under the sinks would have uniform height for storing baskets. lots promised which took a lot of effort to get delivered. Had to have the floor reset, 2 years later (no fault of this contractor). took effort to get that organized, but this contractor handled all the costs. again one guy, not a tiler. tiles uneven in spots, grout really uneven, toilet nicked in the process and eventually had to be reset due to smelly bathroom syndrome and th plumbing under sinks kinked in resetting vanity,. I paid a plumber to come in and fix last two items, cuz somethings are just not worth it. overall, repair okay, but not great.
