    Classic Construction Group
We hired Classic Construction to gut renovate our 4 bedroom house. Work included replacing all windows and doors, replacing the roof and gutters, new boiler, new air conditioner, new siding, refinishing the basement, redoing baths, upgrades to plumbing, electrical and HVAC, carpentry along with a redesign of the kitchen area and redesign of the master suite with an addition of a walk in closet, a new master bathroom and a laundry room. A complex project which took 6 months to complete. German and his crew did a fantastic job executing the architects plans, they were professional, highly skilled, thorough, clean and respectful. Whenever we asked for changes or modifications they addressed them in a professional manner. They did outstanding carpentry work building cubbies in the foyer, storage shelfs as well as all wood work throughout the house. Some of the subs were a little slow in their parts (especially electrical and plumbing) as they were working on multiple projects in parallel but overall did a good job and addressed our requests. In addition German is highly responsive and easy to communicate with, whether its during work hours, nights, or weekends he was always available to address any questions or concerns we had promptly and patiently - this was very important for us especially since it was our first ever renovation project and we were pretty clueless. German was a true partner throughout this project and deeply cared for making sure that we were happy with the way the house was coming along. Overall, German & crew turned our house from an old and tired 70s house to a bright, modern and welcoming one and for a fair price (we had 3 more bids to choose from). We are very pleased with the outcome of the project and i would highly recommend Classic Construction to anyone.

    Budget Dry Waterproofing Inc
We found a small puddle in the corner of our basement the day we moved into our new house.Worried, we scheduled an assessment from Budget Dry and Connecticut Basement Systems. Neither found anything urgently wrong the with basement, but both mentioned we might want to consider a long-term solution, such as a small drain, to reduce water seepage.A few other people we had in the house also inspected the puddle and didn't see anything alarming.
Two weeks later, our town was hit with a nor'easter, and dozens of gallons of water began to spill out of the puddle, flooding the basement. I called Connecticut Basement Systems, but they would not be able to send a representative out for several days. Budget Dry's sales rep, Jack, was in our house within a few hours.
He jumped right in, helping me shopvac out the water, lifting and emptying the 10-gallon buckets of water that I could not carry. He said we would need a french drain in the area where the water seemed to be coming from. But then he took the shopvac to the finished part of our basement, and began to carefully vacuum water from along each of the walls, revealing that water was actually spilling in from the base of every wall. This meant that we would need a full perimeter french drain.
Jack actually seemed heartbroken to give us this news. He was very sympathetic to the cost and disruption it would cause, especially because we were new homeowners. He lent us his own personal pump to help remove water overnight, and somehow he and his office arranged to have a team install the perimeter french drain the following day. This was evidently quite the feat, as they were fully booked for several weeks, but our situation was clearly an emergency and we were given priority.
The actual drain installation was very stressful, but I'm sure any new homeowner would say the same about any construction project. A crew of four men did the installation, jackhammering out a trench along the walls and maneuvering carefully around a sewer pipe. The whole process was highly professional. The only issue we had was that the four crew members had patchy English, and their foreman/translator was occupied at another job. Fortunately, the owner, Marc, was able to explain everything to me over the phone, and Jack was also available on the phone all day between assessments to allay any concerns. There was one hiccup where it turned out our sump pump container was too small and that we'd need to replace the container and pump, which added an additional cost to the job, but in the end, it worked out just fine.
In the middle of the two-day job, Jack even dropped by to check out the work and answer our questions. The whole project is covered under Budget Dry's lifetime warranty, which gave us enormous peace of mind.
We continued to work with Budget Dry after the installation of the drain and new pump. We needed to replace a sewer pipe, and when the plumber wanted to rip the pipe out of the ground next to the drain, Budget Dry offered to send someone out to inspect the plumber's work so that our warranty would not be invalidated. We spoke to them several times about the issue, and they were always very clear about wanting to accommodate us and maintain their warranty.(We ended up not needing to rip out the pipe.)
When the cement over the drain developed cracking, they sent someone over to fix it, free of charge. It was fixed in under an hour.
The biggest test took place over the last few weeks, when our enormous mounds of snow began to melt. I have no doubt that if the drain had not been installed, we would have seen a flood of icy melt-water fill the basement, but with the new french drain, our basement has been totally dry.
Our case was traumatic, but Budget Dry handled it exceptionally well, and with great humanity and sympathy for our frayed nerves. I recommend their services wholeheartedly. We plan to use their services again this year when we install a vapor barrier.

    Del's Construction
Dave built my dream kitchen. He handled everything from demo to finishing touches. I've had several contractors for various projects through the years and Dave is hands-down the best I've ever used. He coordinated every detail, was at my house every day of construction, and installed my tile floor & back splash beautifully. His sub-contractors did an excellent job on my cabinets, trim, fixtures, and plumbing. Dave's attention to detail sets him apart from the rest. He takes pride in his work, is a pleasure to deal with, and is very good at what he does. I highly recommend Dave and Del's Construction without hesitation!

    WFC Construction Management Inc
We utilized WFC last year on remodeling our condo and w/ the excellent experience we had the first time we decided to use them for my parents? home.  The contract was to create a finished basement which had a half bath, separated laundry for parents & tenants, pantry, and cement block wine room w/ ventilation.  WFC came over one evening where myself & parents laid out exactly what was required and how we envision the basement looking after it was completed.  WFC took measurements as well as provided us w/ some helpful information on how it would be best laid out whereby maximizing the space which was taken very well by all.  The next step was that WFC were going to design a floor plan which they turned around in less than 3 weeks.  WFC made an appointment w/ us and arrived earlier than expected where they reviewed the plan and we were all impressed w/ how it was laid out.  Agreement was reached on the floor plan so the next step was to go to their showroom to pick out tiles, paint, faucets, etc.  WFC were able to immediately make the appointment onsite.  The entrance of the showroom was beautiful as it appeared to be as if you were entering a home rather than a showroom.  We were overwhelmed w/ the amount of selection of tiles, paints and faucets but WFC made us feel comfortable by seating us down at a table and beginning to show us different types of tiles, paints and faucets.  I will say the experience was surprisingly positive as we?ve been in such situations where it becomes a sales pitch on buying the most expensive products whereas WFC understood where we were looking and stayed within those boundaries.  Within two hours we had selected the tiles, paints and faucets and left there smiling w/ our selections.  Within a week the contract was written and signed.  Work began 2 weeks later where his crew came in and within a week had the basement cleaned up and partitioned.  The WFC crew was very professional and might I say very clean as at the end of each day they left the place immaculate considering the amount of construction.  Within 5 weeks the entire basement was completed w/ only the bathroom appliances which were on back order.  My father was very impressed w/ the wine room where they put a window w/ a wall air conditioning unit set to a timer to ensure the room was also set to a given temperature.  The room had lots of wine racks as well as a place to put a 50 gallon wine barrel.  Lastly, the custom bar which was kitty cornered in an oval shape made out of mahogany wood w/ a very nice finish came out very nice.  A sink was put in the bar along w/ glass shelves which made it seem more elaborate.  The entire work effort took approximately 7 weeks which came in under the expected 8 weeks.
We were very pleased w/ the outcome of the renovation and would most certainly use them again as well as recommend them to family & friends.
