    Thomas James Roofing & Waterproofing
I'm very satisfied with the work done by Thomas James Roofing and Waterproofing. I called them when my regular contractor went out of business, and I am very happy with the work they did. They did a nice job on my gutters, and pointing on my old chimney and fixing some damage to trim from windstorms. Importantly, the clean up was perfect. The price was very fair. I intend to use them again for some waterproofing I need. I highly recommend this company.

    A & B Home Service LLC
Overall job went extremely well. Completed products (all tasks included) look top notch and the overall cleanup following the job was excellent. Adam and team once started provided timely updates regularly and explained the process as it was happening. Appreciate their hard work, and our roof looks fantastic!

    Chimney Heroes
Very professional, courteous, friendly, and competent. Very respectful of property. Great service from office re: setting up and reminding about appointment; also received a call in afternoon to better pinpoint time they expected to reach us. Great job explaining issues with our chimneys and possible solutions. Looking forward to having them do repair work for us.

    First the good:
Peter is very good about returning calls, and he delivered the wood on schedule. I can't comment on the quality of the wood, because I haven't used it yet.
    For the not so good:
Peter has a lot to learn about doing business, in my opinion. I found him to be extremely rigid and not always clear in his communications.
When we spoke by phone, I was informed that there would be a charge for delivery for anything past 15 miles. So while on the phone, I look up on MapQuest the distance between his business and my home and find that I am 30 miles away. 29.2 miles to be exact, but I round up and give him an extra 1.6 miles, because that's how I do business because I'm not an a**. I convey this information to Peter and he says he won't know until he checks for himself and then he'll let me know what the delivery fee is. Okay, trust issues #1. And he never specifies in future phone calls what the delivery fee is so I assume it's for the 30 miles, because I HAVE CHECKED ON MAPQUEST.
When he calls to say he's on his way, I tell him if he wants to leave later to avoid rush hour, that's fine. I am always happy to try to find ways to help make other people's lives a little easier. He elects to leave at the original time.
In the meantime, I go to the bank to get him cash figuring that would be a nice thing to do. When he comes, I hand him the cash and then he proceeds to count it twice in front of me. Okay, trust issues #2.  He accepts the money and goes to dump the wood, but then comes back and tells me that I owe him $15 more because actually, he only delivers 7 1/2 miles each way.
I explain that he told me 15 miles. Not 7 1/2 miles. And I should not have to pay an extra $15 on an already very expensive delivery. He says he has to go ask his boss. Well, he is the boss! It's his name on the business and his business card.
Then he comes back and tells me nope, he wants the extra $15.
Peter, that was a very "penny wise and pound foolish" choice to have made. Not only did you lose a customer for years to come, you've lost other potential customers that I could have directed your way.
    Why I used Peter:
The guy I usually get my wood from had personal matters that prevented him from delivering this year. In the future, I'd rather go cut and split wood myself than use Peter again. That's how peeved I feel about it all.

    Fred's Chimney Magic

Back in May I used JFT after buying a deal on Angie's for gutter cleaning. They did the cleaning, and recommended a few things one of which was waterproofing the stucco on the chimney. They came back on the 8/14 and did the job, and recleaned a section of gutter which I believed they had missed the first time. They did not charge me for that.

As in May, they were on time and very professional.

I would not hesitate to use them again.

    Fred's Chimney Magic
The work was done very professionally. The provider answer  all of my questions and gave detailed explanation of the work that was done. I would recommend Fred's Chimney Magic/JFT. Thank you for getting the work done, I am very pleased with everything. I also appreciated the courtesy call the next day.  Very happy with the outcome. The 3 chimney caps looks great and the new liner system will definitely increase the efficiency of my furnace and restore the integrity of the chimney.

    City Suburb, Inc.
City Suburb arrived on time and did the work contracted.  They were punctual and very courteous.  I feel very comfortable with the work they did.  I would definitely use them again in the future and would highly recommend them.
I have worked with awful people in the past, so I also checked them out on BBB (Better Business Bureau) and they have an "A" rating.
They also honored the coupon on Angie's List.
    They were GREAT!

    A Better Construction LLC
Tom and his crew removed our old shingles, inspected all decking and were prepared to replace any if rotted. They also replaced new tin chimney roof flashing on two chimneys, and all metal drip rails. Tom kept us informed of all ongoing work with photographs of each step of the roof replacement. They showed up on time, worked all day; coming back the next day. They were professional, knowledgeable, polite and neat. The quote he provided us with was competitive to other quotes that we had received. The quoted cost was exactly what we were charged, with no hidden costs.

    Hayner Masonry
We'll never know how this project would have gone, because after 3 phone calls and messages I've yet to hear back from anyone. Very unprofessional. If you're too busy, just lemme know, and we can move on.
