Big Apple Plumbing & Heating Corp
All of the folks from Big Apple Plumbing are very professional, efficient, courteous and honest. They dealt with the utility company when necessary and performed all of the work better than I had expected. Their pricing is more than fair (actually better than another quote I had) and always felt that they cared about us as much as getting the job done properly. I strongly agree with another reviewer who said: "highly commendable company"! Thank you for the great work!

He put in a nice hot water heater. I wasn't there, but I pretty much handled it. I don't know if it was a good deal or not. It was a fair price. It was an emergency situation, so we didn't know if it was broken or just time. He did it quickly. It was a short notice. His punctuality was good. We did have a little problem with the paperwork from the township, but he finally got that done. Overall, it was a good experience. He did good work.

it went Great!!! I drove these people crazy asking them a thousand and one questions because of my rotten luck with the stand up GE Hot water stand alone tank. They were very kind and took the time to address every question . They gave me written documentation on alternatives As requested they came over and inspected the old system and made recommendations . They came on time and did the job as expected and tested the system before they left. What more can I say. I am happy with the work and would call them back for other work .

Elias was a real pleasure to work with. I called him late on a Friday afternoon after seeing his positive feedback/reviews and he listened patiently to my explanation of the issues we are having, asked all the right questions and took the time to advise me on ways to attempt to get the water heater functioning on my own (check breaker, reset button, etc) without him coming out. This was especially appreciated because I previously had two plumbers come to assess the issues and both determined - without even opening our water heater - that we needed to replace the unit without question and their estimates ranged from $2k-$3k. Keep in mind that this is without them even taking a close enough look to know what model we have or require for our needs so it was refreshing to speak with Elias who attempted every possible avenue to save time, money and effort.
After speaking, he asked me to follow up with him once I was able to try all of his suggestions so we kept an ongoing conversation through the weekend via text. (Our situation is pretty unique because our water heater is blocked by the plumbing of our kitchen sink so it is almost impossible to get to without taking pipes apart). He remained patient and responsive through out and because I was not able to get it working with his suggestions, he agreed to come out on Monday.
He arrived early and prepared. After actually opening the unit , he realized that there were loose wires which someone had previously taped in place (we are new owners and just moved in three weeks prior). The heat from the unit melted the adhesive from the tape which caused the loss of hot water. He was able to put the wires back in place and used utility ties to hold it in place, explaining that this would be a longer term fix and that even though the wires were lose, he didn't see the need to replace the unit as it was fully functioning at this time. It was such a relief to hear that there wasn't a huge issue with the unit and to pay such a reasonable and fair fee after the experience I had with other service providers.
Overall, my experience working with Elias was great and I will definitely contact him again for any future needs. It is obvious that he takes pride in his work and operates with honesty and integrity.

Big Apple Plumbing is a family owned business and it shows in their professional courtesy and attention to detail.  Their service is
absolutely exceptional!  Carol worked with me on scheduling and Ken Jr corresponded with me as well and performed the actual work.  Ken Jr. and his crew arrived at the exact time they promised for a water heater/boiler replacement.  Ken Jr. was on-site the entire time, not merely overseeing his crew but doing much of the work himself.  He's very knowledgeable and knows his trade incredibly well.  I  haven't actually had the chance to try out the new equipment yet but so far, I am very pleased with the work that they did.
I should also add that my situation was fairly unusual.  I scheduled the plumbing work in the midst of an ongoing home remodel.  My remodel project is being managed from the West Coast and that led to many delays in scheduling on my end as well as some other issues.  Big Apple Plumbing was very patient and understanding of my circumstances.  They were incredibly accommodating and worked with me every step of the way to make sure the job got done.  I would recommend them without hesitation and plan to call
them for all of my future plumbing needs!

Their prices are high. I used them about three years ago. They are very dependable and very good. They have been in business for a long time and if they have been in business that long, it means that they are very good.

    Kew-Forest Plumbing & Heating
I was out of town and was informed that my hot water heater was not working and there was water on the floor. I called Kew Forrest, supplied the model number, paid by credit cards and they replaced the water two hours later. First time using them.

    BRETONE PLUMBING & HEATING
My neighbors recommended J. Bretone Plumbing and Heating and we were not disappointed. Mr. Bretone came to my home to evaluate my gas boiler. I found his "diagnosis" helpful and honest. Instead of trying to sell us a new boiler, he gave us options, and explained everything patiently and thoroughly. This man has character and integrity. He suggested we try to fix the boiler first and even gave us an electrician's name that he works with. He also noticed our hot water heater (which was over 15 years old) and strongly suggested we replace it as it could bust and flood our basement. The job of replacing the water heater was much more difficult than they assumed (bad valves, etc) but we were not charged any extra. Once the water heater was fully installed, he again took the time to explain how it worked, how to operate it, and maintenance tips. We were fully satisfied with J. Bretone Plumbing and Heating and would recommend them highly without reservation.

    Ranshaw Plumbing & Heating
They came out Monday morning to install a new water heater. Arnold was excellent. They left the old tank out on the sidewalk for recycling company to take it. I was concerned that sanitation would not come get it. I called Ranshaw to express my concern and they informed sanitation is supposed to come pick the old water heater off of the curb. It was removed by Ranshaw themselves to put my mind at ease. Excellent service.
