    Connection & Contracting
We wanted to turn our shed into a backyard studio space for working on creative projects. David did the job quickly and created a beautiful space. He is a pleasure to work with and I felt very comfortable putting my trust in him! I'd definitely recommend him to others and will be hiring him in the future.

Ravinder and his team did a great job. They were attentive and easy to communicate with during the whole project. We had an old roof with many layers and a leaking skylight that they replaced, new gutters, a fire escape scraped of years of paint and then repainted, some brick pointing, exterior painting and patch work repair. They did a good job on all the projects. They're very puntucal and always cleaned up after each day of work. Extensive work, done quickly, very reasonable price.

    McGavin Roofing
You know you need roof repairs but don't know where to start. McGavin Roofing was working on a neighbor's roof (houses are attached with flat roofs) and saw our skylight area and two other places on our roof were holding water and the water was seeping under cracks in the roof tar. So John and John, Jr. knocked on our door and asked if we wanted the problems repaired. At first we said "No', but then I went and checked them on Angie's list and decided - Why not. The work needed to be done and they had a good rating. Very glad we made the call to go ahead. John, Jr. took before pictures to show us the work needed and then after pictures to show completed work. Very nice job.
Gave us written guarantee for five years.
I cannot comment on the cost as I have no other estimate to compare it to for the work done.  I feel it is the correct price you would pay for the amount of work done.
The specifications on the contract are as follows:
"To cut out back section, replace any bad or damaged wood, then install new "firestone" rubber roof on back. Seal around skylight, then coat roof with aluminum asphalt roof coating.
    For the sum of $3200.00
    Good for five years"
The following work was also done:
    1) the front roof leak was repaired
    2) screws were replaced to hold the gutter to the roof
    3) cracked roof tiles were fixed and sealed
As the saying goes ..  "the proof is in the pudding" (whatever that really means) ... when we next have a heavy rain and nothing leaks, I know it will be a job well done.
    Thanks McGavin Roofing

    Bill White Roofing & Waterproofing
All work was performed well within time frame projected and completely consistent with pricing agreed to prior to work beginning. Very courteous and professional. Bill and William were very good about explaining options and describing the work to be done. Photos were taken of roof before and after.
One month later, I climbed up to roof to investigate how new roof and drain held up following some recent heavy rains. NO standing water to be found. The drain and surrounding area, along with the entire roof were both completely dry.
Based on our experience we certainly would recommend others consider Bill White Roofing. We expect to contact them for further work on a smaller porch that will need repair and possibly for replacement of a skylight.

    City Suburb, Inc.
After a storm in our area in December, I checked angies list in order to get a roofer as soon as possible to my home. We had planned to have someone come in around the spring to do some general roof maintenance, but as luck would have it, the top apartment in my three floor home had some pretty serious leaks. Our last roofing work was done years ago and the provider was not available. I appreciated the fact that Ryan was able to contact me right away. I had purchased a "roof maintenance package" and they were able to come as soon I called them. He called me to originally set up a meeting to check out the scope of the work, and to actually go on the roof to see what needed to be done. He was kind enough to let my husband go on the roof with him and he explained everything in detail and pointed out what needed to be done. He collected a deposit and he was very flexible with payment methods and came to do the actual work approximately two days later (due to my scheduling). At the time of the work he allowed my husband to see what he was doing, and explained what he explained to me two days prior (thanks again!)
Since it was in December, right around the holidays, and it is really cold-I really appreciated the promptness. We will be doing future work with this company when the weather is a little nicer for additional projects. I would recommend this company to anyone needing this type of work.

After buying a house with roof leaks, we wanted them fixed immediately by someone with slate experience. Mik was very easy to get in touch with, professional, punctual and did what he said. The experience was so smooth, we plan on using the firm for a repointing job later this summer.

    Maspeth Roofing
I found Maspeth Roofing & Siding through Angie's List.I live in California & NYC & my home in Astoria (in which I grew up), needed routine roofing maintenance. The roofer which my parents & grandparents had used kept me hanging for over 1 year without ever actually attending to the job.I severed contact with him & began my search for a new roofer upon whom I could rely.Managing a property long distance is difficult in the best of circumstances.Maspeth was very responsive..........both the office manager and the roofer himself.....They came to assess the job when they said they would come, they wrote a fair bid and sent a professional contract and they completed the work when they said they would and did a nice clean up.My skylight had a slow leak durine heavy rains for about 30 years, despite a number of roofing maintenance jobs; my family elected not to replace the skylight due to the costs involved.   There was no leak during the past 2 rainstorms since Maspeth did my roof.......I'm keeping my fingers crossed. What's not to like???
    I also got a 5% Angie's List discount.

    Roofmaster NYC Inc
A glass pane from one of our older skylights had slid about two inches and left a significant gap open to all weather. A few years ago I had our roof done by Roofmaster and was extremely pleased with their work and professionalism, so they were the first (and only) company I called as soon as the problem was identified. Mike answered my call immediately and actually remembered our specific job. They were already booked solid for the day, but I was told if it was at all possible they would come out that afternoon and fix my skylight before the expected rainstorm hit. Mike told me he would call around 3pm and sure enough, that afternoon I received a call saying there would be enough daylight to come over and fix the problem. The crew arrived exactly as Mike promised and went up on the roof quickly. The glass pane was re-secured into the place and all of the glass panes on the skylight were resealed. The entire job took about 20 minutes, including the time it took unloading and loading the ladders. It had been agreed that Mike would call me the next day with the cost of the job, as he would speak to his crew and find out how complex the job was, etc. The next day I received a call from Mike - because I was a previous customer, Mike had decided not to charge me anything. I cannot explain how shocked and impressed I was by this - it really made realize further what a great company this is - to not only come out at a moments notice and to fix a potentially damaging problem as quickly as they did - but also a company that appreciates their customers so much that they take care of them years later. It spoke volumes that this company - that could have easily charged me and moved on - decided to help me with a problem unrelated to the work they previously had done - just to make sure we continue to be happy. I cannot praise Roofmaster enough for its stellar business practices and fine work.

Roofmaster did a beautiful job. Personnel arrived at 9:00 am. ever day of the project and went straight to work. The roof and surrounding areas were clear of debris after construction had completed. Overall, Roofmaster is a really good find in a market where good companies and high quality work are hard to find.
