Brilliant. Called the company within an hour of submitting online forms; they were already familiar with my query & requested photos to positively identify the cooktop manufacturer. (Had no idea myself; it came with the house.) By day’s end, set an appointment for a consultation with Carlita (The Stove Lady herself!) within 2 days, which was great as I live an hour by NJ road from their shop. Repair was completed in-home as estimated, a few days later (after separate plumbers installed necessary gas shut-off valve); technician Amir was professional, low-key & efficient. I’m so grateful for their expertise & honesty; while not necessarily a vintage buff, I’m glad to repair instead of replace. They really did a great job. And if we choose to do a like-new restoration as part of a future kitchen update, I’ll hire them to do it.

Although parts of the fabric on the bottom of the couch was not stapeled correctly, it was redone at my request and then it was fine. Jon responded to my requests in a timely manner. In fact he brought the cushions back the same day (unexpected) and they were just what we wanted.

I could not possibly be happier with the care and expertise in which Nancy handled this project. This was a bedroom set which had been in the family and had been stored in the basement for over twenty years. Nancy turned it from sentimentally beloved yet outdated to completely loved by the current generation. Thank you, Nancy!

VAV improvement delivered exactly what I wanted and more. They saw things that I would never have seen and turned my apartment into my dream home. Endlessly grateful for the hard work and dedication demonstrated throughout the process.

I went to the store and picked out swatches I liked.  They came to measure my chairs and advised me on the durability and quality of the different fabrics I had chosen.  I decided to go with the most durable fabric because it resisted stains and could be easily cleaned with water..  They agreed it would work well being that they were dining room chairs.  They ordered the fabric to replace the seats and front and back of each chair.   When the fabric came in, they came and picked up my chairs.  Two weeks later my chairs were perfectly done and delivered.  The wood had been polished,  the seats and backs were replaced with a better quality of foam, the upholstering was perfectly done with the piping beautifully replaced around the seats and front and back of each chair.  My 20 year old chairs look brand new.  I could never have replaced these chairs.  They did an amazing job.  I am so pleased with the level of work done.

I have been in New York for about 11 years. I've used several piano tuners, and if there's one thing I've come to appreciate is that there is clear communication. Leopold is not only an extremely competent piano technician, but also, he listens. If you have any questions or inquiries about what he's doing or some other issue with your piano, he will take his time to explain it to you, and even show you a bit about how the mechanics of the instrument works. This makes the customer feel a lot safer. First, because it shows that the technician knows what he's doing. Second, because you're also learning a bit about what he's doing to your instrument, and so, you feel less in the dark. He also assisted me in buying a piano (I bought my Yamaha Upright from him, which he gave me at a reasonable price. And whenever I need to move my piano somewhere, he knows of good piano movers as well)

I strongly recommend you try his services, and I wouldn't be surprised if, like myself, you end up sticking to his services for the rest of your life.

Ed and Rob of LIS Upholstery were completely professional - always responsive, on time,  and courteous. They did a superb job on my chair; the fabric I gave them had an admittedly difficult pattern and they handled it beautifully. I couldn't be happier with it.  My chair was ready well before estimate.  Their price included pickup and delivery and was very reasonable.  It was a totally positive experience and I would whole-heartedlu recommend them.

After contacting the company, exchanging calls and emails and sending photos of the chair, Robert and his brother came out. They confirmed what I had read online, namely that recovering the chair would require 5 yards of material.  I purchased the material online and they were cool with that.  When they came to my house, they told me what they would do, how long it would take, and how much it would cost.   I liked their professional yet friendly demeanor.  I didn't feel pressured to buy this or that.  We agreed upon the terms and they took the chair away.  That was a month ago.  Today the chair came back and it is gorgeous.  I gave them two rocking chairs, both of which need cushions, and one of which needs work done to the frame.

It was very easy to make an appointment online and they were one of the few sites that had prices posted.
Daniel, the piano tuner, arrived on time and politely offered to take off his shoes as he entered the house. We had never had our piano tuned since we got it 3 years ago. Daniel worked diligently for 3 1/2 hrs. Daniel stopped occasionally to let me know if he discovered a problem with the piano that needed repair and informed me of any additional cost. He repaired a cracked key  - $20. He left the area neat and clean after he was done.  He'll be returning to replace a string that broke while the piano was being tuned - $40. Overall, he's a hard worker, polite and considerate. I would certainly consider using Floating Piano Factory again.

Redline did a great job moving me out of my apartment, in freezing temperatures with snow to deal with as well. The estimate provided by Kieran I believe was accurate and he was a pleasure to deal with (he's got a thick Irish brogue but you can understand him after a while)! When the guys came to do the move they were prompt and professional and never complained about the horrible weather conditions. I did not have as many items packed as I'd planned but they took care of what was left and did so with care. I also had a small piano to move and they managed to lift that up steep flights of stairs. Respect. All considered a great bunch to deal with and I recommend them highly.
