    Brighter Babies Inc
Our son started in the room with the youngest babies--the Purple Room.--when he was about 5 months old. Miss Aggie, the head teacher, runs a REALLY tight ship, and the other teachers are just as friendly and sweet with the babies as she is. The first few days are spent with the parents in the room, I assume both to help the teachers get to know the baby's routine, and to help the parents feel comfortable. Our son has been happy and really thriving in the time he's been there. They have music classes, yoga classes, and all kinds of fun activities, even art for the tiny ones! They take them outside to Gantry park whenever weather permits (so pretty much every day). When they get older, there are healthy school lunches as well.
In both the Purple Room and the Orange Room (crawlers), we have felt like the school creates a happy and healthy environment for the  children, and they're good about communicating with parents as well. We get a report sheet every day that lists naps, diapers, what and when the baby ate, and any other info. Especially in the Purple Room, these were filled with great detail--we found out that our son loves music, even what his favorite songs are, and who his friends are and what they do. All kinds of great stuff. The other thing I really liked was that when it's time to move up to the next room, they transition the babies with care--bringing them in to visit for a week or so, for gradually longer intervals, to ease them into it. They take a very individual approach, and are heavy on parental communication in our experience.
BB does send emails to all parents when any child comes down with a communicable disease--most recently it was chicken pox, though I believe there was a Coxsackie incident as well. I'm wondering if the previous poster got one of those about lice. I will say, I appreciate the open communication--I like knowing to keep an eye out, and in both cases for us, our son didn't get the illness in question, even though patient zero was in his class both times. They're very good about cleaning and sanitizing to minimize this stuff.
Nothing is perfect, and it's hard to leave your baby with anyone and feel good about it 100% of the time. And I will's not cheap. But for us, BB has been a really wonderful place for our son. He's happy and he loves his teachers and friends, and I love seeing all the other babies and families. I've always felt like Ilana and Natasha--and their whole staff, really--genuinely care about the babies. Every person we saw knew our son by name within the first few weeks, even teachers from other rooms. Just seeing them interact with the children has always made me feel like this is a great place for us. Every child is an individual, and every day care won't be a perfect fit for everyone. But I just saw that the only review on here for BB was so negative, and I felt compelled to share our experience, which is 180 degrees from what the other reviewer described.

    Abramson, Dr. Robert J
After radical surgery I had a fair amount of internal organ nerve damage.  I did some research online and acupuncture was suggested as a possible way to heal.  I don't remember how I found Dr. Abramson but I'm glad I did.
His office is quiet, serene, warm.  It's comfortable and it smells good.  He's gentle and kind, he's understanding, and his work made me feel better - both physically and emotionally.
    He's a healer.

Great, I could not be more happy with Dr. Li treatments and I recommended her to family members and friends.Everyone agrees that she is outstanding.
I feel 10 to 15 years younger since going to her.

I love this day care center, and would highly recommend them. I'm very picky about where my child gets his education, since I'm also in the educational field. The learning, the teachers, and the director are all very good.

    Various things happened:
    1. She got sick twice and was only able to attend 6 days. She started on a Monday and was sick Wednesday evening. She went back and got sick in 3 days. We never received a call from Brighter Babies sking why our daughter was not attending. They never asked why she did not attend when she went back.
    2. The thrermostat in the purple room does not work so the AC is turned off and on, depending on the teacher's mood.
    3. We got an email letting us know they have had lice problems and we were not told of this up front when we came to look at their facility.
    4. Our daughter was placed to nap with no pants one foot away of the floor fan tehy use for the entire purple room.
    5. I went to Brighter Babies to get some answers from them and Natalia, one of the Directors, laughed while I was asking questions. I eft and contacted the other Director, Ilana, who said that Natalia laughs when she is nervous.

Our baby getting sick was terrible and we understand that happens, but having no one ask why she is not coming and if so, what happend and if she is OK.  When she went back it was much worse and very frustrating. They are interested in money more than babies.

    Terrible experience.

    Elite Physical Therapy
I have been going there for almost 1 year now. They have another office in Bayside which I go to and see a therapist here, Lenia Sophocleous, who I believe is fantastic! She is knowledgeable, dedicated and has helped improve the mobility in my back greatly...she is always pleasant and in a good mood and works hard to heal you.

It seemed like there was nothing but it developed so the doctor referred us to a physical therapy center which was local. We were satisfied and pretty impressed with the center. They have two offices. That was our first experience with them. My impression of them was very good. I thought the physical therapy was very good and the initial assessment was excellent. They would twist and turn you to find out what your physical problems were. The evaluation was excellent. I felt very comfortable when I went and I had gone several years ago to a similar place in another area and it was just a so-so experience. They are in our area only for the last seven years. They seem to be very thorough and they keep their appointments. There was only one drawback that I found over there and that was because there were a few steps to climb and if anyone had a disability they wouldn't be able to climb that. They are in a small area where they don't have a facility for a wheelchair and that's the only issue I had but to me it was fine. They were very thorough. The staff working on physical therapy are specialized in certain areas. If someone has to go up and down the stairs it could be a little difficult for them though it was not to me. I had no problem with their availability. Their office hours were between 9 in the morning to 9 in the evening and even on Saturdays if required. The punctuality depended on whether someone ahead of you was a little slow with doing the exercise then you might have to wait a little bit. Over all it was satisfactory. Initially when I went to them I didn't find much of a difference but after 6 to 7 sessions everything seemed to be falling in place. You got to do a lot of those exercises at home too and that helps the situation. I haven't heard about the billing so I'm assuming that everything was fine and paid by the insurance.
