    Cargan, Abba
Dr. Cargan has a gentle manner, and humor, and also has deep knowledge. He allowed me in the room but held all discussions with my child. Dr, Cargan spoke to me, but to him the patient is the child and so he directs questions to the child and expects answers from the child. Even answers to my questions were directed as much to my child as to me. So the bond of communication and bond of trust is established, and now I'm thinking that it's also a mechanism for the child to take on responsibility for the treatments. And over the years I've seen that to be necessary, because when neurological symptoms or episodes arise it's the child that needs to be first self-aware and act on it (even if it's only to call in an adult). His treatment office is light, spacious and quiet. So in these subtle ways, Dr. Cargan creates a total treatment. It's peace, responsibility and successful symptom management. He discusses treatment choices, and their upside and downside. The appointments are never rushed - they seem to be at a lazy pace, and I have never seen another patient or patient family in the waiting area. Yet, his time is booked up way in advance. We are now on a six month plan, and I have to call seven or eight months ahead to schedule each appointment. On the other hand when we had an emergent issue he responded quickly and accommodated his schedule. No insurance. No weekend hours - I need to take off work, kid needs to take off school. I often get lost on the Garden State.

    Freddie Marton MD
Dr. Marton is very knowledgeable and friendly.  He has been managing my son's medication very well, giving him small amounts and raising it in small increments so that we get the benefits without severe side effects.  Appointments are monthly because the doctor must keep tabs on his progress and determine if he needs more medication.  We are usually seen very promptly and the office visits don't take too long.  The office is clean and efficiently run.  I am very pleased with this neurologist.

He is an excellent doctor. He is good with both children and adults. He made my son comfortable. He was thorough, listened well, and made a lot of sense in everything he said.

    Jacobson, Dr. Ronald I
He is the most incredible guy ever. I have a cousin that I take care of, and she has been his patient since she was a child. She has a very uncommon disease which is not ordinary, spinal disease which also has neurological properties to it, and I accompany her on her visits and I have all the history, and I have never in my life met a doctor like him. Not only does he talk to his patient on the same level that he is on, but he talks to the people who bring the patients in, and I have never seen that before. Every single aspect of this man is wonderful. It’s like he is a relative, although he is not. He just connects with my cousin on a level that it is deeper than doctor patient. He does something incredible, and he will say he doesn’t know and we need to look it up together. My cousin does a lot of research online because there is not much she can do, and she researches things like how to manage her medications and so on. She likes to look up new things and new techniques, and Dr. Jacobson listens to what I have to say, and that is very unique and I have never witnessed that before. I would rate him highly.

Went well. Physcial examination. Caragan has great repore with child and listens to all our issues. He is extremely thoughtful and conservative in medication recommendations. Listens to our concerns as parents, and gives education recommendations when needed

    Stephen Thompson MD
Love the doctor. Sometimes I wish we could arrange an appointment is less than 3 or 4 months. This is particularly difficult when there is a persistant headache or a medication change. However the staff is most responsive and relay information as quickly as they can.
