    Metropolitan Painting & Contracting
Men showed up the same day we requested a proposal from him and began the job with a few days. His crew was professional and took extra care with ensuring our personal items were properly protected while the work was going on. He completed the entire project within 2 weeks. He even addressed a roof leak that occurred while the work was going on and kept our stress Levels to a minimum. He took care of everything and kept us very happy. We look forward to hiring him for our next project in our home.

    J Morisco Contracting Corp Inc
We recently hired J. Morisco Contracting (Total Access) for a kitchen renovation. The work included demolition of the old kitchen and installation of a complete new kitchen (which included cabinets, countertops (granite), tile work, flooring, plumbing, electrical and appliances. We also wanted a built in pantry and desk top area in a limited space. His design experience and overall knowledge helped us accomplish all we wanted. Jim's attention to details and material choices put this kitchen together beautifully. The work was professional at every phase of the project; the job site was left clean after every days work and debris was removed. We wanted the project done right and it was . We had Jim do our kitchen as he has done work previously in our home over the years and with every project he has done a fantastic job so we knew that this would be done in the same professional manner. We are so pleased with the finished results and would highly recommend J.Morisco Contracting for any aspect of home improvement.

    Frank's Painting

I contacted Frank after reading several reviews on Angies list with pleasureable experiences. We had just bought a house and were getting some estimates. He came over and within 15 minutes had everything he needed and had given me a ballpark. Not only did he give me a ballpark but it was spot on when he called later that day with the real number. He arrived on time for the estimate and was very honest with particular items. He explained everything that they were going to do for the job including painting the windows(anderson wood) which the other estimate(more expensive as well) did not include. We did have a slight hiccup in our plans as a previous jobwent a bit longer but Frank handled it very professionally. He gave me a finish date of 5 days from the start and even getting delayed one day he made sure that he finished by that same deadline of the original expected start date. He even had 5 guys instead of 4 for one day to make sure that this could happen for me. As if this wasn't a pleasurable enough experience the finished product is great. We could not have asked for anything better especially with the time fram given and the job at hand. Frank's workers were extremely polite, professional, and courteous while they were at the house. They made sure to clean up at the end really well since during the job we were not living at the house. That being said they still did clean up at the end of the day so that everything was in one area just incase we went to the house at night. Frank is a standup guy and a pleasure to do business with. I will definitely be using him again if we need painting done and will be referring him to friends as well. Since we were moving into the new house after they painted he even mentioned that he would send a guy back for touchups once we are settled. We have not had that yet but will definitely be taking him up on that soon.

    Stanco Enterprises Inc

They worked for 2 weeks; they got fully paid. ($500 a day; the contractor then tacked on a $1200 "supervision and overhead" fee although he only dropped in once in a while). They repaired some ceilings and painted living room, dining room, kitchen, a closet, the foyer hallway, and the washroom bathroom. But even those room are not finished because they need to be touched up, the trim needs cleaning and they left a huge mess of dust all over the house. Also, I cannot clean up my slate floors (spackle dust and splattered paint).

I On Good Friday the two painters only worked from 8:3- to 2:30 pm and I was charged for a full day.

Update: They left the job after two weeks to work for another job - came back over a week later and resumed painting for one day.  The paint job is not particularly professional - there is wall color on the white trim, the floors were insufficiently covered on three levels and I've been vacuuming and damp mopping to try to get some of the excess spackle from my wood floors as well as my slate entrance way.  When I asked the contractor how this stuff could be cleaned, he said "Don't worry, we'll take care of you."  Also, the painters did not sand under the bay window frame bottom, just slopped paint over the heavy spackling that the window installer had left.  End result is lumpy and bumpy.

It's been a very frustrating -and educational - experience.

As job progressed the "old house" showed its age with wood rot and damage.  Each step of the way I was advised by Nick of any additional charges and/or options available at different charges and complete process explained.  The workers were excellent!  They arrived punctually and worked long hard days.  They were courteous and communicative.  Finished with everything put back in place and neat and clean.  A few smaller jobs throughout the house were handled in same fashion.  I highly recommend.

Brian was fantastic! His work was meticulous and he cleaned up completely when he was finished.  He returned my call within a day and came over the next to give me an estimate.  We set up an appointment for the following Saturday.  Brian arrived and worked the entire day, breaking only for lunch.  Downstairs we had had our thermostat replaced and it left a large unfinished place where new digital one was installed. Brian finished that spot and repainted to where you could not tell where the spot was at all.  We were extremely happy with all of his work!  We will definitely hire again.

Too difficult to have contractor commit to a date to do repair and painting.  Said he would get back to me after a couple of contacts, but after 11/09/2013 never heard from him again.  Please refund my money, so I can start over.

    Ted Baade Jr Painting
Poolhouse interior was really gross. Ted did a beautiful job with patching and painting in the most unbelievable heat. Conditions were awful for him. Need several rooms done in our house and will definitely give him the job. Professional, punctual.

Barney had been recommended by a real estate agent as someone who could do an excellent job for a fair price brightening up an apartment prior to sale or sublet, and that's just what we got.  He was easy to get in touch with and responsive to my changing schedule.  He and his team worked very efficiently on our apartment which hadn't been painted in more than 12 years, and we are very happy with the results and the entire process.  I would use his team in the future and would recommend him in a heartbeat.
