APV Painting & Decorating IncI am blown away by the beautiful job Petar did - he and his assistant Bill removed a large area of plaster from the ceiling and replaced it with drywall, plastered all the multiple cracks and broken plaster on the walls, and sanded everything on the first day. Although we had not arranged for it, Petar insisted on priming and then painting the whole stairwell on day 2; he insisted he would not take any extra money for the extra work he performed........... but I could not agree to that so I told him he could consider the extra payment a Christmas gift!- Sandra C.

My example today is that we woke up and my husband realized that our sump pump died. Just think, brand new basement fully finished to everything we ever desired and this could have all been ruined by flooding. Tim being so knowledgeable had righteously recommended and installed for us a back up sump pump that kicked in right away on this rainy day and saved us so much tears!!! AExcellent!! A tree crushed a large portion my roof during a wind storm. After calling several contractors to no avail I was referred to Fruehauf Associates. Scott and company went out of their way to repair my roof. Took care of the necessary permits. They worked with insurance company and us to get the financial issues solved. The actual reconstruction is better than original structurally. Their work blends into the original structure perfectly. I can’t express my appreciation for the work they all put into helping my wife and I get our house back together. If you want a superior, stress free experience Scott and his people are the ones to get it done.

AThe roof was completed first and the interior work was done at a later date. The roof was done very quickly. All debris was picked up thoroughly and we are happy with the results. For the interior work, the workmen were knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and neat. They were prompt in the morning, and kept us informed daily about progress. When decisions needed to be made, they used layman's terms, explained options and were clear when sending us for materials and paint. They took very few breaks and let us know when they were going to lunch. They worked carefully, there were no big messes, and they cleaned everything up at the end of each day. The whole project took less time than we anticipated. We are very happy with the completed repairs. We also had one window replaced with this project. Very nice quality, basic vinyl clad window.

AFinished result is wonderful and we are very happy with the work performed. Toly and his team worked quickly and were honest and reliable. He coordinated with a few other contractors well (we hired separate electric and HVAC contractors). He took reasonable care to protect the carpet and walls while carrying materials into the house, and kept us updated with progress. We left town for a week and his team continued to work on their own - there were no issues. There was a hiccup in the permitting process which was due to them not being as familiar our town's restrictive system, but apart from a few weeks of delay was not a big issue. Once we had all the proper permits, the work proceeded smoothly. There were no surprises in terms of costs, and what was initially quoted was the final cost of the project (not counting a change we added midway through the process, replacing a window). His prices are very reasonable. He also went above and beyond helping us remove an old countertop that the countertop company refused to remove, and hooking up the plumbing after they installed the new countertop. During the permitting process we found out that we would need a larger window in the room to meet light and vent requirements. We ordered a custom floor to ceiling casement window from Andersen, and Toly and his crew (he brought in a few extra people for this one job) had no problem removing the old window and installing this extremely heavy window for us.

AJesse is my go-to when I need something done that is beyond my mental or physical capacity. He has changed several ceiling fans and light fixtures in my 1906 home and has fixed multiple scary wiring situations within my walls. He has a flexible schedule and has come over to fix emergency plumbing issues too (taught me not to use those toilet cleaning tabs as they can clog your toilet in a pretty commical way). Jesse will tell you the issues and his recommendations with no games. He's also saved me a ton of money on a stove ignition issue, fixed my convection oven, and even wired all my basement lights to a single switch so I no longer have to go around pulling individual chains. I would recommend Check It Off to anyone and everyone, no matter the issue.

AYour Renovation is worth the wait!! My wife and I wanted to renovate our Ryan Homes builders grade bathroom so it was more than just a shower, soaking tub, and toilet. Tim had previously completed a kitchen renovation for my mother and father in law so we immediately knew we wanted him to work on our next project. Due to his high demand and COVID Tim was booking out for months, but we found if you want quality work and attention to detail you have to have a little patience. Once the work began Tim and his team were meticulous about the work area, putting up multiple layers of plastic to contain the dust and debris and then ensuring everything was vacuumed and wiped down at the end of the day. Communication was very open with him and he would discuss the day prior what his team would be working on, this included what time they would be onsite and what they may need for us to have prepared (material and color choices, etc.). Their typical day started at 8am and they worked consistently throughout the day, not ending until everything they had anticipated completing was done. This may mean 5:30pm or 7pm ensuring they stayed on the timeline they provided us, he was even opened to working on random Saturdays (within our schedule of course) to ensure there were no delays to our overall schedule. Every other day or so my wife and I would have a question about material finishing color selection etc. Tim would always listen and discuss collaboratively with us, without making us feel like we had no clue what we were talking about. Warping up the work Tim has always picked up the phone to answer any questions or address any concerns with vendors. The best example our vanity was ordered on Wayfair and came in damaged. Even after the job was done Tim came back to change out the door. It wasn't a huge job by any means but he wanted to make sure that it was done perfect. The amount of passion Tim has for his work is unmatched by any other contractor. Every inch of our renovation alludes a perfection that you will not find anywhere else and we look forward to using him and his team for future projects.
