ATaylor Construction & General Contracting LLCfantastic BOB was honest on time very reliable the best material and if its not broken don't touch it I can't express his honesty enough a friend referred me to him and I'm glad he did he cleans up everything spotless his workers are the same way his price for each job was less than I thought he tells you up front the cost one way and if he finds more like plywood is a big part he tells you that one also I would recommend Taylors construction to anyone with complete confidence he's a man of his word FROM ONE VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER TONY BARONE- Anthony B.

ATaylor Construction & General Contracting LLCBob Taylor (Taylor Construction) was so professional and personable right from the get-go. He was generous (and extremely prompt) with his time and expertise concerning a work estimate (no high pressure sales just confident and professional; and they finished under budget), job completion time (sooner than expected), materials needed. He offered up "referral properties" from previous jobs. He met with us (several times) at our home to explain the entire process, bring samples, and to preview the job site. The work was delayed a while due to a rather long stretch of rainy weather in our area. Bob continued to keep in touch to assure us he "hadn't forgotten" about us and the job. When the weather began clearing and a job date had been set he kept us posted every step of the way. Advised us just when the dumpster would be delivered, cleared with us where on our property the dumpster would be placed, and also asked our approval for set up and placement of his work trailer and additional work equipment. He told us that he and his crew (who were awesome .. more about them in a moment) would arrive around 9 a.m. each day to begin work. Each day they arrived 30 minutes ahead of schedule! He was here each day to oversee work of his crew (which didn't need supervising; they worked well as a team; all knew their job/responsibilities; a number of his crew each had worked with/for Taylor Construction for over ten years; they worked with professionalism and with respect for Mr. Taylor and worked conscientiously about their job and our home). Each time something "out of the ordinary" or unexpected cropped up (the flashing around the chimney, banding it to the roof, removing some of the siding, replacing some sheets of plywood, replacing the bathroom vent-fan) Bob's crew discussed the issue with him then he in turn explained the issue with us, offered us his factual overview/opinion and left the decision up to us as to how we wanted him to proceed. He and his crew were "spot on" with every issue. We appreciated their/his candor and expertise. Clean up was so immaculately accomplished you'd never know they had been here were it not for our beautiful new roof! The job was completed a day ahead of schedule on a Friday. The following Monday Bob returned to see if we were pleased with the work and to assure us that if we weren't completely happy about the job done by his crew that he would work to make it right. Not necessary, Bob. The entire experience was stress-free. Bob and his crew made it so. We would indeed recommend highly Bob Taylor/Taylor Construction- Diane L.

ASafety First Chimney SweepsMr. Baker spread tarps to protect the rug and area surrounding the mouth of the fireplace. He cleaned the chimney of all of the maple limbs and leaves a squirrel was stuffing in it. He then capped the chimney to avoid having the same problem all over again. The problem has ceased, thanks to Mr. Baker's work. He was courteous, friendly, and a pleasure to have doing the necessary work.- Joan B.

ASafety First Chimney SweepsWe call and make an appointment - Bob does send out yearly reminder cards. Bob comes, lays down tarps to protect the floor, cleans out the insert, then cleans the chimney removing any soot build up. He vacuums everything and removes his tarps and equipment. Job is always done very well.- Charles H.

ASafety First Chimney SweepsI had previously called another local chimney sweep and left a message with an answering service. The owner called a few days later and planned to set up an appointment, but he never followed up. When I checked Angie's List, I learned that Safety First had two positive reviews. I talked to Bob Baker personally and he said he would do the job the following week. They were prompt, although they came about 10 minutes later than originally planned. Bob discussed the options and prices with me. He asked me if I had any problems with the fireplace or if I had any specific requests. Then he and his partner set up a tarp on the floor around the fireplace and moved nearby items out of the way. Cleaning the fireplace/chimney took very little time, surprisingly (perhaps 15 minutes), and there was no mess. They then went on the roof and installed the chimney cap. I was pleasantly surprised to see them do such work in the middle of winter and despite the snow and cold. There was no pressure to sell me the cap, but it seemed a good idea to install the cap to keep birds and squirrels out of the chimney. My house is surrounded by a lot of trees and I frequently see squirrels on the roof.- Pat M.

AI was amazed how quickly they removed the roof and had the new roof in on the same day. Left the jobsite relatively clean, though I am still finding roofing nails here and there. They used a rolling magnet at cleanup, but it missed a few. Very satisfied with the job overall and would recommend this company to friends.
